The service was okay. Couldn't understand my options and the guy at the counter didn't really know how to make himself clear. He seemed to be in a rush but when I looked behind me there was no line. Not sure what the rush was. The orange chicken was delicious! Very sweet though. The mangolian beef was okay. The beef was very chewy but the broccoli and carrots were delicious. The fried rice was also delicious. The egg rolls tasted like they had been in the freezer for a very long time. I didn't finish eating mine because it was gross from freezer burn taste. I'm not going back. The price was $30 for two people and I can somewhere authentic for that price. read more

I was hungry so I yelped up nearby places and my other option was the one with panda in the title, so I chose this place instead. I missed out on the lunch special by a couple hours, bummer. It wasn't crowded though, so that was nice. I didn't have to wait long for my takeout order. The service was good. The girl who helped me was very friendly. I almost forgot to grab a pair of chopsticks on the way out, but she reminded me, and she offered me a plate too. It's like she knew I was going to be eating in my car, haha. This location is in a busy shopping plaza with a grocery store and lots of other retailers and food options. It's next door to a Dickies. It was clean and tidy. They had a tv, thankfully it was not on while I was there. I find it annoying to have to listen to the tv when I'm at a restaurant or any food place, but that's just me. They have frozen yogurt here now. I guess they're trying to compete with actual Asian food spots now? It's weird to me that an American Asian food place is trying to mix it up and serve frozen yogurt, but only the bland flavors. My food was ok. I wasn't expecting it to be something spectacular. I asked for it spicy. It wasn't actually spicy, but they did add a lot of peppers, so that was nice. It was fresh, which is obviously something you don't find at some of the food court type spots. Love the new Thai basil cashew chicken! Don't ever get rid of it. New renovations are awesome too! One thing I will say is that the new wrap around booth is really close to the front counter so you have to really crank your neck to look up at the menu when you are at the registers. Very good tasting fast food. Service is above board only when the Branch Manager, Liz, is present and working. Clean facility all the time. The biggest issue is the ridiculous price increase across the board. The place became very expensive. Prices posted did not change but the servings were reduced by 50% which is same as a price increase. In the past, the dish and the rice were in separate boxes. Now, the smaller entree and rice are served side by side in a small plate. Go to Panda Express. read more

For quite a number of years I have been eating at Pick Up Stix in Rancho San Diego. Shortly after I began they added the Shrimp Pad Thai noodles. I love that. The thing that stopped me from going back for a number of years was that they were inconsistent with preparing the dish. Like they had a drunken chef or two chefs who could not agree on the recipe. When there is not too much sauce it's great. Last time I was there...a few weeks ago, they were empty around Thanksgiving. I enjoyed a great Shrimp Pad Thai dish with so many shrimp I wanted to go back and say thank you. But I forgot. One last thing. NEVER have any employees ever been rude or unfavorable. They are usually young girls and they are very sweet and polite. I will try again and if it is consistently good...I would love to continue to enjoy that dish again once in a while. read more

This place has changed and not in good ways. Covid-19 situation aside, this place needs to do better. First, let's start with the front door. I am disabled with mobility problem, but if I weren't, I suspect I would still have trouble opening this door anyways. That is a VERY heavy door to open! It's absurd how much strength it takes from me (and my friend who is healthy) to open their front door!! Secondly, their "new" dining room layout. Hate it! It looks like a 70s communal hookah lounge the way it is set up. Who ever designed that layout should be fired! You feel trapped and does not offer even the slightest bit of privacy! Lastly, but most important, the food. It is VERY inconsistent. And I tried to peg down some consistency by going at the same day and time and still, inconsistent! I generally order the fried rice and or chow mein. The house fried rice I had for lunch and it was "dry" and tasted bland.The rice could have been re-heated, I don't know, but the food did NOT taste fresh at all! The Chow Mein I was going to have for lunch tomorrow but I tried a bit of it and had to throw the whole thing away. Same thing, did not taste fresh but worse than that, it smelled disgusting! Not to mention I ordered the House Fried Rice which is supposed to be beef, chicken and shrimp and only got chicken. So I got ripped off to boot! I think this will be my last trip here. I've been coming here for years and just recently it has gotten this way. The last time I got fried rice and took it home, it was super greasy! It so greasy it was wet!! And today it was dry as hell! I see new faces here all the time so it appears they have trouble hanging on to employees, especially cooks which is what makes or breaks the place. The chicken was OK the broccoli beef should just be called broccoli because there probably was five little tiny crumbles of meat in there . I would not recommend ordering this . The cream cheese wontons were very gummy and cold. Each entrée came with one side but I was charged two dollars extra for 2 plain noodles. Plain white rice was free but that was not how it was advertised. I've been coming here for years I couldn't believe the cost and the quality of the food was far below what I paid versus what I got. I was in the area yesterday and decided to grab pick up stix for dinner. This was my first time so I didn't know what to get. The cashier told me some of his favorite items, so I went with his choices. I got the family meal which came with 2 entrees, chow mien, wontons, pot stickers and brown rice. I tried the honey chicken and Mongolian beef. Everyone was very happy with the food. It was delicious and still piping hot when I got home. They package it on this cute serving tray.
