My wife, daughter and I went there this Sunday afternoon for lunch. We had been there in the past and never had an issue. However, today's visit was a train wreck. It seems that the menu has changed and several items were no longer available. The one family who arrived before us said it took 28 minutes to receive their order. It took 30 minutes for the party who ordered after us to get their food. I suppose we were lucky because it only took 22 minutes to get our two combo plates. Once the food arrived, it was dull. I don't know how they managed to make it any less flavorful. The portions were skimpy and certainly not worth the 22 minute wait or the $15 we spent (without drinks!), Now, I have had positive experiences at this location in the past (hence the two stars), but the quality has been going downhill. One manager, whose name I regretfully cannot recall, has always been cheerful, polite, and accommodating to requests. However, one lone employee does not make the restaurant. I called the pic up six to ask about it and I was told that they do not put wontons in their wonton soup. If you want wontons for the wonton soup you have to pay extra. I met a friend here who phoned in his order. On the phone they told him it will be about 15 minutes, when he got there it was about 15 minutes after his call, they told him it will be just one more minute. He didn't order anything special just the bourbon chicken with no sauce and brown rice. We waited 10 more minutes then when he approached the counter to find out what happened they said they just accidently gave his food to someone who just ordered food. (Hope they didn't want sauce),and we waited almost another 15 minutes. When he finally got his food all the lady could say was sorry, no rebate on his order or nothing. Pick Up Stix's Mongolian Beef is awesome! Although I'd recommend going to a different location than this one. I've picked up food here on at least four different occasions and the quality, freshness and portions have varied greatly. If you're in a hurry then call ahead and still be prepared to wait. Also, check your order carefully. You'll have to ask for plates (they box the food in Chinese to-go boxes), plastic ware or chopsticks, napkins, soy sauce, and pretty much anything else you may want with your food. The staff may not like you scrutinizing your order or asking for things you'd expect to have when you order food for takeout. The customer service could stand some improvement but who cares if you're just picking food up. read more

The food was a little cold and chewy. It was close to when the store opened, so perhaps I got the leftovers from the previous day. But they forgot part of my order and I ended up waiting quite a long time for my food. Maybe it was my intense hunger that arose while waiting, but my portions seemed smaller than my other Pick up Stix location. Other yelpers seem to like their experiences...So my advice? The food is always warm, yummy, and the staff is always friendly. 5/7/14 I ordered to-go over the phone, when I got there I realized that I had forgotten to ask for white rice. The manager gave me some, on the house. Although I cannot recall his name, he was a young white man. He was very friendly and gave me extra fortune cookies, like I asked. This review is not for the food, which is always good. This is a review for the awful customer service. I placed an online order through Yelp for pick up. The person who picked up the food didn't double check the order. Come to find out that a meal is missing. I call in to get a refund on the meal because I can't drive to pick it up. First I'm asked to wait and placed on hold then disconnected. I call back and explain the situation. The young lady continually tells me that I didn't order two kids meals and without warning hands the phone to someone else after I continually tell her that I have a copy of the order showing two kids meals and the total $. A young man, I'm assuming the manager, gets on the phone and tells me over and over again that I was only charged for one kids meal. That is not what my receipt says. He proceeds to inform me that the restaurant prints up a different order and that their order only showed one kids meal so I was only charged one meal. First of all, I have no proof of this since my online receipt accounts for 2 meals and they did not give the person who picked up a copy of "their" receipt. All this guy kept saying was "but you didn't get charged for both". But but but and maybe...maybe a half assed apology is all he can muster. How does that make it ok?? I wasn't given what I ordered and I have no proof that they only charged me for one meal. So now I have to contact my bank to confirm this and I have a kid with no meal. I explain to the guy that it sounds like he thinks because I wasn't charged I should be cool with it. He says well no you didn't get your meal BUT you didn't get charged. Crazy! He says "I'm trying to be nice to you but if YOU'RE GOING TO BE LIKE THAT". Whaaaat?? "I'm trying to HELP you but can give you another number." I told him what poor customer service this is. There was no "Im sorry, how would you like us to resolve this", which I told him and all I got was a long silence. He finally asked me if I wanted to make the meal so I could go buy it. Another solid 4 star review. Always clean, always fresh, and always good. I usually order nothing more than house fried rice (which contains beef, chicken, and shrimp BTW), and the oft mentioned cream cheese wontons. I know there are a ton of good things on the menu, and one of these days I'll try them but for now, the rice and wontons are sublime. The staff are reasonably friendly, and more importantly efficient. There definitely doesn't seem to be anyone standing around bs'ing like you see in some fast food joints. read more

The tofu lettuce wraps were excellent and they even gave me a couple extra lettuce cups when I asked. I always get firecracker tofu and it was very tasty. It has a sweet spicy sauce. I asked for it extra crispy and I think this is the most crispy/best firecracker tofu of any Pick Up Stix locations in California. I can't understand why some people didn't like this place.
