hi, first I will say the charming young lady at the front was sweet and polite and very friendly. The food not so much. we had Wor wonton soup, which tasted like they opened a can of Swanson broth and threw in som veggies and 2 wontons. The veggies were good as were the wontons. The broth wasn't. Next I had coconut curry shrimp, the white rice was gummy and hard and there was maybe 2 tablespoons of curry sauce. I couldn't even soften the rice with sauce because there wasn't any. So this location is located a short 5 minute drive from the I-5 in the Valencia/Stevenson Ranch area. We stop here usually on our way to or from the LA area since we do not have this chain in town. I love this place because everything is cooked to order. Yes I know that means a wait but when you get your food piping hot it is totally worth it. They do have an app for your phone so you can order ahead or of course call your order in. So my favorite dish is the House Special. It's chicken that isn't breaded and is cooked in a caramelized sauce of white wine, garlic, soy sauce, and green onions. It is served with white or brown rice and you can substitute fried rice for a small price. I get plain rice since the sauce the chicken is served in flavors it nicely. I have also had the egg rolls and they are delicious. The cream cheese Rangoons are pretty good but not my favorite place to get them from. I honestly don't try much else because usually once I find something I love I stick with it. If you are in the area I really recommend trying it. I'm just bummed we don't have one closer otherwise I'd be eating here way more often. read more

I held back my comments from this joke of a place until my most recent situation. My experience: About 5 months ago I was ordering a house special chicken with white rice. As I was taking a bite of my rice I bit on one of the hardest things my teeth had ever felt. My tooth still hasn't felt the same ever since. I opened my mouth and spit out a METAL SCREW apparently there was a loose screw from the rice cooker and it fell in my food almost killing me.. horrible horrible situation and joke of an establishment. Ordered that teriyaki salmon entree w/fried rice which came with a small piece of salmon but the worst part was the black blobs of fried rice (see picture). I was missing wontons and dumplings. Slightly annoying after driving over half an hour home, but not a huge deal. What really got me was when I called to have them make it right, the girl I talked to said "I was the one who packed your bag, they were in there" I had explained that when I went to pick up the mobile order they first handed me someone else's food, that maybe she put it in their bag. She insisted "she thought she put it in mine". She apologized (still thinking I'm not telling the truth) and asked if I wanted a refund for the wontons. I just moved to this town and decide to try this place for the first time. I always like American Chinese food, but my experience here wasn't pleasant. The cashier seemed to be impatient... but it's a busy night and she might be tired so it's fine.. as long as the food is good I don't mind . However.. I waited 40mins for my orange chicken... when I received the food, I was hungry and decide to eat it right away.. I was worried that my memories may have been inflated and I would no loner enjoy it however I was so wrong! Parking was easy, the line was not very long and I waited maybe 3-5 minutes for my food. I was pleasantly surprised as I sat down and waited for my food when Anissa our cashier offer me a chocolate covered fortune cookie! For under $11 I order a drink and the Mongolian Beef lunch meal and substituted the wantons for noodles and rice. The amount of food for the price equaled out, I actually turned it into two meals. The food tasted good, nothing mind blowing but better than other Chinese fast food options. If I was basing this review off the food it would be a solid four stars, however the reason for and extra star should be credited to the service because it was phenomenal! Right when I walked in one of the employees, Anissa welcomed me with a positive attitude and friendly smile. She continued to help me decide what I wanted to order and when the line died down she came over to offer a chocolate fortune cookie and completely went above and beyond what I had expected. They hired a new manager a little while ago and she always has attitude when I come in and is not very friendly. Not to mention that they have her cooking the food instead of the designated chefs who I assume are on break. The food is awful when this happens. It is usually overcooked and burned, has too much sauce or is missing ingredients and does not taste good. I ordered Kung pao chicken and it was soaked in sauce, had no water chestnuts or peppers and looked like I ordered orange chicken. Great place for a family dinner. They have a special for around $30 and you get a lot of food. You can pick between the meats and noodles. The kids love it because it comes out in a large tray that they can pick and choose from. We ordered the orange chicken and the chicken & broccoli. It was great. With my quest to find new places to have lunch, I found quite a few in the past few weeks versus the past couple years working at the same place. With finding some cool pizza places and some restaurant location that have online ordering, I found another spot to grab lunch. I was in the mood for Chinese and I wanted to try Pick Up Stix in Stevenson Ranch. Located on the southeast corner of McBean Parkway and the Old road on the same lot with Chili's, Urban Cafe, and Mod Pizza, you'll find Pick Up Stix. This time I didn't order online. I wanted to see what Pick Up Stix was all about. I thought of Pick Up Stix as Panda Express, but the ordering process is different. You order everything and the cooking staff cooks it once the order is complete. Most of us newbies will be thrown off expecting the Panda Express standard. I ordered regular Chow Mein ($5.69) and Grilled Bourbon Chicken ($7.99). The wait would be about 7-10 minutes. You could watch TV or observe the cooking staff prepare your food. I got my food in a different type of packaging. Usually, I was thinking the Styrofoam packaging, but it was in those cool retro type packaging. So, I am happy that food won't get mixed and sauced all wrong. When I brought the food back to my office, the smell of the Grilled Bourbon Chicken was overwhelming. The texture of the chicken was very easy to chew. Originally, it looked like it was going to take awhile to chew, but I was proven wrong. There was some sauce at the bottom of the packaging and made sure each piece of chicken was soaked in it. As for the chow mein, there was nothing special, but it was thick, but soft enough to eat. I had mixed the chicken, but it didn't taste great. So, I just ate the chicken and chow mein separately. Overall, its a nice place to grab food, but not everyday. I used to see commercials like crazy, but lately I have not. Kinda want to see that little dragon again. I saw some reviews for the Cream Cheese Wontons.
