They also offered to bring things upstairs that weren't even part of my move, which was very gracious. On top of that, they delivered everything 2 days ahead of schedule. I gave her an accurate account of the items I would be moving when and where and I received a quote in about 20 minutes. The day before I received a call regarding the move to confirm and see if I had any major changes that would change the quoted price. On the day of the move the movers arrived a little late but it didn't bother me, my move was scheduled for 9-11 and they arrived at 930 and still I was out by 11, I had a 1 bedroom apt on the 4th flr. My entire move was done by noon!!!! They had gotten to my new place unpacked reassembled items they took apart and put things where they were labeled, ie basement bedroom kitchen etc. The only complaint was that I wish they had told me that they were going to have more people moving me, the paperwork said 3 but it was 5 guys so I didn't have enough money for all the tips, but I guess they worked it out. Clearly this difference made a huge difference though I'm not sure why. Setting up and arranging was easy, they were polite and provided a great quote of $650 for 3 men for 5 hours of move of a 2 bedroom. This sounds great to me and I book. Day of move goes okay however they took a very slow time moving things downstairs, acted surprised I had a flight of stairs when I told them multiple times in the arrangements, and dropped several things one being an inherited framed tapestry from my grandmother. This would all be fine except when we got to my new location they were clearly exhausted (2 of them are not in "moving guys shape") and almost irritated they had to finish the job. Like...that's literally what I am hiring the service for. However, what really tipped the scales was by the end, because it took them 2 hours longer than anticipated they doubled the price to a bit over $1200 and then had the audacity to ask if I was going to tip! I was, and had the money ready but how dare you flat out ask for it! To add insult to injury after they left and I tipped I found the broken tapestry. Additionally, they put heavy boxes on breakables and though I inventoried and labeled each box with the room it should go in they threw them literally in the almost opposite direction. The littlest mover, was the best. He was friendly, professional and darn strong for being so small. He worked his butt off and if I could've given everything to him I would have. Asking them about the tapestry I inquired if I should go through my insurance or theirs. They suggested theirs and then led me on a goose chase for a week before reverting back and saying I should go through my own insurance. For the fact that I didn't really save any money here by going with Crescent I would say absolutely choose another vendor.

They showed up on time (early, actually, which already felt suspiciously competent), wrapped everything like it was headed to a museum or being launched into space, and treated my father-in-law's belongings with more care than most people treat their own stuff. Not a scratch. Not a dent. Not a single "oops." My father in law had some physical limitations and used a cane to get around and they were so patient and kind to him. I've NEVER had movers that were so careful. We were blown away. Professional, fast, respectful, genuinely kind and they even gave us helpful tips along the way, which you never expect but absolutely appreciate when your brain is fried from moving logistics. They loaded the truck and also unlocked the truck and got all the items and placed them to related place in bedroom as requested. We did not take picture of all the items for this review as we already arranged them on same day considering move completed pretty early.

I scheduled a small studio move that should have taken two hours, which is their minimum. The day before my move, Jae sent a text and email alerting me that my move had been rescheduled. There was no call or conversation asking if this change was okay. This should have been the first red flag. The movers arrived on time and I initially thought this was a good sign because of the whole rescheduling situation they were trying to pull. I quickly realized they showed up completely unprepared. They did not bring any of the materials I paid extra for or the moving materials Borz included at no extra cost. They were not upfront about this and only admitted it after I confronted them. Because of this, packing was delayed and took much longer than necessary. After packing, my new apartment was less than ten minutes away and literally impossible to get lost. You drive out of my building and go straight down the same street. Despite this, the movers took an hour to arrive. I have photo proof that Mark sent me showing he was parked at an address that was not the designated location for over 30 minutes, which was clearly a stalling tactic. Despite having clear instructions from my building, the driver chose not to follow them and wasted another 30 minutes circling the building. He eventually parked and told me he had been to this address before. If that were true, there is no explanation for why it took an hour to travel a five-minute distance. From about 1:50pm to 2:45, Borz wasted an hour on travel time alone, adding an unnecessary hour to my move. Once unloading was nearly finished, they paused to discuss payment before completing the job. I had to repeatedly ask Mark to bring in my mattress. How are you calling operations when the job isn't finished? This felt like another attempt to stall and push the time more, especially after already running up the clock unnecessarily. Jae later tried to frame my paying a lower amount than the estimate as a big "discount" and implied I should be grateful. Not charging me for materials that were never provided is not a discount. I should have actually received a discount for the movers arriving unprepared with the expected materials and for taking an hour to drive between two locations that does not even take an hour to walk between. The issues here was the lack of honesty, poor communication, and disorganization that caused the move to take much longer than it should have. When I asked to speak with a manager, Jae refused and hung up on me but not before arguing with me about my experience that she was not present for. Overall, this company shows a lack of accountability and professionalism. I will not be using Borz again and would not recommend them to anyone even if they were they only moving company on earth.

We did not move paint, so it must have been spilt in their truck from a prior move. My husband and I decided not to take any chances this time. Prager Moving and Storage has been in Naperville for decades. Our neighbor, who is a perfectionist, to put it mildly, used Prager and raved about them. Our real estate agent, Chris Cobb, recommended Prager. The actual cost of the move came in below their estimate. The driver, Bob Bychowski, was outstanding. He and his crew were extremely prompt on both ends. His truck was huge and immaculate. His crew was great. Each and every one of them introduced themselves to us by name and shook our hands and then got to work without delay. We haven't unpacked everything yet, but all the furniture arrived without a scratch. This was the easiest move we have ever experienced. We are a "his, mine and ours" family, so we have both moved many times over the decades. We both agree that this was by far the best moving experience ever. They may not be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

I've moved my kids multiple times with shady movers (I have stories!) and this was a walk in the park. First of all , my quote was done over the phone through FaceTime. Steve knew exactly what he was doing and asked all the pertinent questions. His quote was fair and extremely accurate. Before the scheduled move we were able to move quite a few small boxes and items ourselves as we had access to the new home. Steve was happy to adjust the quote (through FaceTime again) and it was astonishingly accurate. The crew was fantastic! Adan was the crew leader and all the men were very proficient in packing, moving and communicating with us throughout the day. They were all friendly and very accommodating to how we wanted things placed in the new home. Also, Brenda in the office was quite helpful with scheduling the move, explaining the billing, and answering any questions we had. Cannot say enough good things about this company. As I said, we've been burned by other companies so I was relieved to have such a pleasant experience with Prager.
