I love the golf course and have been saddened because of a torn rotator cuff, which thankfully is healing. I miss my time on the course with my buddies. Rich allows us 2 tee times every Thursday in the early afternoon at a steep discount and I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate him and all he and his staff do for us. The course is challenging and always in immaculate condition. It is my favorite in the entire area. I was finally getting used to it and figuring my game out when I was injured, so it looks like I'm going to have to do that all over again. And I'm looking forward to it. A bad day on the golf course beats a good day pretty much anywhere else. My only complaint is that they have no hot dogs on the traveling snack cart. There are times when eating a hot dog is the best part of my game. Ha! When finished with a round I always go into the club and sit at the bar. I order a cheeseburger off their menu rather than the ones they send out on the course. I've never been disappointed, they're always delicious and the staff is friendly even though I'm not a member. Most of the staff are younger kids, some of which could use a little more training in some aspects. Checking in was kind of a nightmare due to staff passing us off to other staff or not having answers to questions pertaining to the party or tickets. Some of the staff were doing great paying attention to what was going on in their area while others talked a lot and didn't notice rough and rowdy kids for quite a while. There is a huge variety of things to do from the playplace to the rotating bumper cars, several climbing walls, rope course, laser tag and virtual reality. We were there three hours and could easily have spent another five and not been bored.

The course is much improved over the last few years and generally love the layout. The gentlemen at the clubhouse, believe it's John, is miserable anytime I get there or call to inquire about heading out there. Instead of welcoming you to come play or just being decent. He comes off miserable and like I'm inconveniencing him anytime I get there or call to check availability. It's either "well the course is packed and you won't be able to move quickly" or "we got a lot of rain so I shouldn't even be letting people out" or "the cart has to be in by 8 and it's slow out there so I don't even know how many holes you can get in". I'll take my money to Santee, the courses are nicer, the price is more competitive and the customer service is a mile better. I won't be playing Pine Forest any longer, done giving my money to course that doesn't seem like they want it.
