I recently transferred my male calico/ maincoon cat to this clinic and I do not regret it. I signed my cat up for the yearly pet plan packaged deal. For me, it is the equivalent to having pet insurance. This makes having a pet affordable especially when they get older. The other pet clinic I was with gouged me for the prices and didn't have my pets best interest in mind. The prices were so steep that I had people tell me it's time to put your pets down,... but I can't and it almost cost me the roof over my head. Looking back, I would have saved myself so much time and grief if I only would have known about them sooner. Today, my other pet will be seen with them and I will be signing them up for their pet plan. I hope this business becomes very successful and stays for a very long time, because this clinic is the place I plan to keep my pets' care for the rest of their days. I have been bringing my cat Max to Pico Veterinary Clinic for a couple of years and have had nothing but excellent experiences with Dr. Liaghat and his staff, all of whom are very friendly and helpful. On Saturday I brought in a young domestic rabbit who had been abandoned at my horse's stable. Actually I was on my way to the shelter in San Clemente with the rabbit but couldn't make myself take him there. He was very stressed and absolutely crawling with fleas. Dr. Liaghat worked us in, having arrived on the spur of the moment, and spent probably an hour trying to deflea the bunny before starting cleaning his infected and mite-infested ears, medicating him, etc. It was really a mess but Dr. Liaghat was very patient, gentle and kind with the bunny. So I have brought both Siamese to this vet but will no longer use them. I brought one Siamese in on the 27th cause he lost his meow. The Dr. Said nothing was wrong with him. A week later my other Siamese lost his meow. So I was able to get in at my other vet which was way more compassionate. They ended up having a virus and they prescribed them some antibiotics. How Pico vet couldn't find anything wrong is just bs. So I wasted money on a visit for nothing. Obvious there was something wrong with my cat if he can not meow! Well ty to my other vet my cats are now getting better and they let me go in the back with them so I knew what was going on which this vet wouldn't let me. read more

Dr. Liaghat is an extraordinary vet! He clearly loves all of the animals that he treats. My dog Morgan has always been able to sense her arrival at a Vets Office, immediately putting all four legs into a braking position. I have to carry her into the office. Great vet practice! We've been taking our family dog here for years and I just recently got another puppy maltipoo and he goes here now too. Every time I come in, Dr. Zand, his wife, and the receptionist are very polite, patient and respectful. Its really hard for me to believe the other comments below, I have been coming here for years and have always had great service and have been treated very well!! Consistently good service. We have used Pico Vet numerous times over the last 20 years. We really liked the original vet, and the vet that took over his practice fit in wonderfully. My 13 year old cat's health took a turn for the worse yesterday. We called Pico Veterinary after work on short notice, knowing my little girl needed to be euthanized. Took my cat here thinking her paw was swollen from chasing bees. Turned out she had a broken tootsie lol. My cat has never let me touch her paws or even try to open her mouth without it ending in a bloody battle. I've never seen her so trusting with a stranger than she was with Dr. Liaghat ! Dr. Liaghat and his entire staff are very kind a loving. Our usually nervous Yorkie was treated with such care that he was quickly calm and comfortable. They were very professional and thorough and thankfully the X rays and consultation by Dr. Liaghat showed our puppy just had a slight infection and has recovered fully. I am so happy I found Pico Veterinary Clinic! Dr. Amir Liaghat and Dr. Arsalan Liaghat are the nicest vets I've ever gone to and their staff are all fabulous as well! They are so gentle with our dog and very thorough without being super crazy expensive and they've never done anything that wasn't absolutely necessary. Pico Veterinary Clinic is open on Saturday and Sunday, too, with no additional charge! We are lucky to have them here in San Clemente! read more

I have been going to this Clinic since my puppy was 10 weeks old and I have never got such a great service. Dr. Zand is one of the best there is. He explained everything to me and my husband and we both felt confident leaving the clinic. when my puppy was sick, Dr. Zand did not hesitate to see my pooch even after the store hours.. Pico Veterinary Clinic is amazing! First of all, it seems like they are always open! I have gone there for vaccines, minor ear infection and loved the service. Last week my dog fell out of the moving car and was injured. I called Pico Vet and they were able to see me right away! I would say this is the best priced vet considering the type of area it's in. They don't (at least from what I've seen so far) trick you into add on services and only recommends things that seem relevant. The only reason why I removed a star is because the vet there is pretty hard to talk to. Kind of anti social in a way. But I really believe he cares about the animals! read more

Caring, compasionate and knowledgable. Dr. Zand and Mr. Zand are so nice to me. I have been taking all of my pets to these guys for years. From their puppy shots to getting spayed or neutered. I even take them there for a bath when I am too lazy. It's really convenient that they are open late so I can make my appointment after work. read more
