We love Pie Tap on several levels. First of all the food is off the shelf good. We get a half and half pie that is too tasty. Often lead with the knows which are just so tasty. They always accommodate us by seating us at the kitchen bar. We love to interact with the staff. In particular, we are treated like royalty. Many of the staff have become our buddies along the way and we loved a night chatting with the owners. Both locations are great but we have become attached to the Henderson location. read more

I usually order the pizza from here which is delicious, so I decided to try the pasta and man was that a mistake. I got the carbonara and it had no flavor at all! It tasted like plain noodles with pieces of bacon in it. I also ordered the garlic knots which were really hard, crunchy and sour. The portion size of the pasta was so small as well and it costs almost $20. So so disappointed! read more

Okay as a native NY'er visiting family in Dallas, I was relatively hesitant when they said we'd be going to a really good pizza place in town. Well... we came to Pie Tap and I was shocked. The gluten free pizza (Celiac consumer here) is absolutely amazing- specifically the Prosciutto pizza. OH. MY. GOD. We had an amazing time here recently on a Friday night. Our group of four started with the goat cheese fondue app and the board. We followed that with a pepperoni pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious! I loved that the board had a nice variety of items. The goat cheese fondue was heavenly. I kept dipping my pizza crust in it after we ran out of the bread. We each had a beer/cocktail as well and splitting the bill in half just came to $40 each. It was the perfect amount of food for four people, and for this high quality a very good deal. New pizza place that's opens up in or neighborhood is always a must to try. Really cool vibe and feel inside with exposed brick and fun glasses for drinks. We tried the chicken chop salad - VERY good and nice and tangy. Also tried the chicken Parm, delicious. We had the pepperoni pizza and were not as impressed, super super salty! Just found out about this place, I ordered takeout the first time and my pizza was sooo good I couldn't wait to go back for the full experience. I was greeted by the friendly bartender, and even though it was lunch time I was sat and greeted in a timely manner. This is quite possibly one of the best pizza places I've ever been to. My waiter Osker made wonderful suggestions! We had the absolutely delectable chicken meatballs as our appetizer. Then for our entree we had the salami pizza which has calabrese salami, house fennel sausage, biellese pepperoni, and bacon! Honestly this was just to die for! Along with our food we had two different seasonal beers on tap and one of the many delicious selections of white wine available! After learning our interests in one of the optional pizza crust dips, the manager provided us with tastings of all three, which were all amazing. *** update: the owner informed me they do take reservations and I 100% recommend doing that, and will be doing that next time I visit! Eeeee I wiggled between 3-4 stars here. But overall, didn't feel that my annoyance at little tchotchkes warranted knocking off a star. ** also, major disappointment with Yelp regarding this place. It didn't say it was on a wait and when we showed up, it was over an hour. They also don't take call aheads. That really started me off on the wrong foot. As mentioned above, we got there and the wait for 2 was over an hour. Eh, ok whatever my bad for not checking, although I don't believe they takes resos and a sign at the host stand said no call-aheads. Given that, you'd think this place would have more waiting room. One bench and zero standing room. Like, I was standing so close to the bar (which is right inside the door as you enter) I could've eaten someone's food and contemplated posing for their selfie. You can't really wait outside either because a) it's freezing and 2) the patio is like right there. Like you have to walk by tables to get to the front door. As it gets more packed with people waiting.. it gets real awkward. We managed to hover/stalk 2 people leaving at the bar, the two seats closest to the freezing front door and snagged those because they serve a full menu at the bar. Just another visual for how non-existent the waiting area is, girls were waiting and ordering drinks right next to me, and her arm was resting in my actual chair. Like in my actual personal bubble. I didn't even want a cocktail but now that I'm at the bar and eating ahead of all these people I felt guilted into it. Our bartender was slightly obnoxious. In that way that when he made mistakes (which he did) forgot things (which he did) or didn't brought what we asked (which he did) he made a joke like normally young women fall for this and think he's cute. I am nothing but a hungry cranky woman at this point. This was not amusing. The servers and bartenders are all dressed in like, 20's era vests. Drinks are served in mason jars (we're still making this a thing?) and cocktails are mixed and measured in beakers. It was all kinda been there done that. In fact, the atmosphere is very minimal industrialist, almost identical to Whiskey Cake. If I stopped right there, 3 stars without even thinking twice. But damn it. The food. I really wanted pizza but we didn't want to eat too much and we just got cocktails and we wanted to try a lot of appetizers so we just did apps and cocktails. I got ummmm something with dripping springs vodka, a sunrise something I think. It was fine. For food, we ordered the garlic knots and the goat cheese fondue. I'm not the biggest garlic knot fan, but these were really good and came with this Asiago Parmesan whip, like whipped cream which I basically ate alone with a spoon. The goat cheese fondue has made it onto my top ten fav food of all time. It's this rosemary infused goat cheese fondue, with a pepper jam and fresh focaccia. The cheeese omg. I didn't even know Rosemary should infuse goat cheese, but it should. Then add some pepper jelly and like how did they know all these flavors should get married and have babies?! The focaccia was super fresh and pillowy too. The only fault was it should really come with 2 loaves (by loaf I mean the size of a hoagie bun) for all the fondue cause it's not enough bread. Once again, I find myself wanting to give 3 stars. But I think it's just me and my annoyance and not reflective of the overall food. Would I go again? Absolutely not during a weekend night, but I would order the fondue to go. read more

Came here my first night in Dallas. Had the fondue appitizer, which was some delicious bread with great cheese and a pepper jam. All very good. Then we split a pizza into margarita and prosciutto arugula. Pizza was a good size, definitely enough for two. The margarita was very good, with a great thin crust and fresh ingredients. The arugula prosciutto balsamic portion was also very good. A great combo if you ask me. To drink I had the day at Wimbledon, which was a gin drink, very refreshing. read more

Not even sure where to start. The food is always tasty! The meatballs are a must, along with the fondue. My favorite thing is to go on Thursday for 1/2 wine and a charcuterie board! This last week I ventured over with some friends after work. We just wanted to do snacks and wine! Our server was great and he took good care of us. We sat outside on the covered patio because we weren't sure if the rain was going to start while we were dining. After eating some of our board and ordering some hummus we noticed that our table was infested with bugs!! I mean ants, nats, flys, everything!! It was absolutely disgusting... we looked around and it seemed like we were the only one that were being infested by bugs. We completely lost our appetite and decided to finish our wine and leave. Like I said, the food is delicious- when not being crawled all over by bugs and becoming completely inedible. If you sit out on their covered patio, you will probably be bothered by bugs. Top 5 pizza in Dallas! Pie Tap is a great place to go for excellent Neapolitan pizza. They claim to take 96 hours to make their dough and I believe it. It is sooooo light. The inside is fluffy and soft while the outside is crispy with a buttery depth of flavor. We ordered the Salami pizza. The tomatoes were tangy and bursting with taste. The toppings were fresh and flavorful. An all around perfect pizza. I can't wait to go back! read more

So 2 stars was maybe too much but pretty terrible pizza or maybe just not my kind either way it wasn't great. Waitress came to the table 3 times 1 to get me and my girlfriends drinks 2nd to get our order and 3rd was to give us our check. I understand that I didn't look like I belong but damn what did I do while I was eating the gross food did I look like I was t going to pay? This man ran to me after getting out keys from the valet and had the audacity to ask if I payed! When I kindly said yes I did he again questioned me "with cash?!?" Umm yea what is cash not what we use anymore or what? I honestly wasn't heated about it but my gf was she wanted to make a seem but I'm not one of those people. Overpriced pizza with terrible service yea not for me I will say though that there alcoholic drinks are A1, I got the raspberry lemonade didn't even taste the alcohol very much so that's good. My order was very slow to come out. I placed the order for takeout and when I got to the restaurant, they told me they didn't have an order for the things I had asked for in the app. I asked about getting a refund since they didn't have my order. The manager and waiter were both confused by the question as if it was absurd that I would want a refund for my order. I was then told that they were working on it. It was just a huge mismanaged ordeal and they would not admit there was an oversight. They just told me it would be a minute. I ended up leaving with my food much later than I was expecting.
