    Garlic Rosemary Bread Puffs

Give me everything on the menu plus two!!! Cat was an amazing server and killed with out large party that rolled in on a quiet Sunday night kicking ofd our trip in Dallas! I have been here before and omgoodness get the meatballs and bread puffs... if those could be a sandwich...ugh! Fricken sooo good! We also got the hummus (with the bread) get it, I am typically not a hummus girl... now i am a believer! Overall i think we got 3 pizzas, calling it out in favs to being the line up i loved! Chicken Pizza (bbq sauce on this...has some zip but make it) then sausage ending it Mushroom pizza (this one gives a twist it has an egg on it) Stop in, eat some bread, enjoy the carbs!

Stopped in for an early dinner and happy hour at this fun pizza place and I'm so happy we did! We started with a "board" each charcuterie element was super tasty, not a bad bite on the entire tray, and the bread was warm and mung blowing! We also ordered a pizza to share and made it half salami (meat lovers) and half mushroom (had a fried egg) and it was so yummy! Evan the bartender was super attentive and made fantastic drinks! Definitely a great place to hit up before bar hopping in the area!

The garlic bread puffs $13 with the whipped sauce is actually slightly sweet. A bottle of miller is $5.5, pepperoni pizza $19, and ranch $1. With having to pay extra for ranch, I'd wish they'd at least fill it to the top... This place has indoor and outdoor seating. Gets pretty packed. Parking is tough so I tend to walk

4 years ago my husband and I lived 5 minutes from pie tap and would go once a week. We would always order the rosemary lemonade and prosciutto pizza. It was phenomenal. The quality and taste has changed drastically. Tonight there was 1/2 of one single pistachio on my entire pizza (I wish I was kidding). There was one single date (if that) on my entire pizza. The majority of what you get is crust and arugula. The rosemary lemonade no longer tastes like rosemary. It used to have such a distinct incredible flavor. I would literally go there just for the lemonade sometimes. Now it tastes like Simply Lemonade with one pinch of fresh rosemary thrown on top. Tonight I bit into something that was rock hard, twice. It wasn't a pistachio. Maybe the pit of the 3/4 of a date that was thrown on my pizza? I showed the server (he was super young and handled the situation terribly). He said "oh that's weird" then tabbed us out and we left. You guys have finally lost 2 very loyal customers.

not a big fan of their pizza because I think the crust is too sweet, though my husband loves it. however, their arancini is absolutely fabulous. Just as good as I get in Italy.

Great service especially on the patio with our pup :) Pizza was delish! As seen in my video, they cheese it up!

This is a super hip and Chic restaurant to dine in! This pizzeria is top notch and amazing. I love the ambiance and the food was on par. I just cannot say enough how wonderful the food is here; the pizza was amazing and flavorful along with the salad with its house-made dressing. I really love the dessert which was donuts that had a nice chocolate sauce to dip in. Of course, the service was also amazing and we just absolutely had a wonderful time. Just a great place to come with friends and have a great dinner.

I expected to be more blown away by this place, but it was a wee bit underwhelming. The place wasn't overly busy, but steady! Super clean and a really nice spot to enjoy out with friends. The pizza was average. Not the best craft pizza I had, but not the worst. It was just kinda bland. Even with the side sauces, I still wasn't that impressed. The ricotta ranch was HEAVY on a ricotta taste and didn't give ranch vibes at all and the spicy one, wasn't too spicy! I did really enjoy my wine selection and love how they have a 5oz/8oz pour option. I would be willing to try again, but it probably wouldn't be for the pizza!

    Espresso Martini- $6 during brunch!

Parking: There's a few self-parking spots around the restaurant and some street parking, but not much. Interior: Clean, open, semi-industrial design. Service: Great service, even during brunch! Food: Went during brunch - just ordered eggs and sausage, which were both excellent. Drinks: Espresso martini was excellent and was only $6 during brunch! Overall: Two thumbs up! I would definitely come back and try other items on their menu! :)

Caesar. Needed more salty/anchovy flavors but was still pretty good.
    Tanya W.

I usually go to the design district location but stayed across the street so came here. My pasta was very dry. The bartender brought more sauce, but I was still disappointed because it was so thick like it had been sitting back there for a while. The Caesar needed more salty flavor (more anchovy). I'll be sticking with the delicious workshop salad from now on. It's amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit here. We shared the workshop salad recommended by our server. It was delicious and beautiful. We then split a pizza, half Salami (aka meat lovers) half pepperoni. Both were delicious. The crust dipping sauces were a great addition. Hubs had a smoked old fashioned, and we each had a glass of red wine. We had been heading to a different pizza place that couldn't fit us in. So we changed directions and decided to try this one based on reviews. And are VERY happy we got to try it! Definitely would recommend and we will be back.

My family has a tradition of Sunday brunch and each week one of us gets to pick where we go. When it came to my 6-year-old daughter's turn, of course she picked pizza so I was pleasantly surprised to find this pizza joint with a terrific brunch menu. There were several types of breakfast pizza, amazing cinnamon buns, and incredible Bloody Marys which would be worthy of inclusion in my book, if I come out with a second edition. Get my Bloody Mary book here: https://amzn.to/3Srjr6c

We came in near closing time, but Emilia provided us great service and stayed attentive even though they were clearly packed. We were seated at a table near the door, and unfortunately it had a vomit smell. Whatever it was, my friend could not stand it and had to get up and step away from the table. We first thought the culprit was the paper drink coasters, but then the staff removed the door mat near us later on, so maybe someone puked on it and the smell lingered, even after it was cleaned up. Clear Mizu ($16): This has Sakura vermouth and bitters, so we ordered it. It tasted like straight up gin and was not good. It was actually one of the rare times my husband could not finish his drink. Kyoto Sunset ($15): This one wasn't bad and tasted like honeydew. The ingredients include honeydew Calpico, so that makes sense. Johnny Walker Black ($16): This was our friend's drink, which I think was just coke and Johnny Walker. Nothing special about the taste either. Given the smell and so-so/terrible cocktails, we will not be coming back or taking our friends here.

Overall: 4.7/5 [dine in]…read more Service was amazing! Our waitress Emilia was super attentive throughout the whole night. The drinks have unique flavor combinations that actually deliver and the happy hour is phenomenal. We're talking 50% off select appetizers and entrees, $12 Over the Counter cocktails, $10 classics, and BOGO ponies and shots. They also have daily specials Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday. The space has serious speakeasy vibes so give your eyes a few seconds to adjust when you walk in from the bright light outside. Icelandic Hot Dog ($3.50 HH): Tiny single bite TX wagyu dog that was cute but hard to share. Tasted pretty similar to a regular hot dog. Tostada ($4 HH): Kanpachi on a blue corn tortilla. I'd recommend getting 2 since it gets messy the moment you take a bite and I didn't really get a proper taste of it because of that. Caviar Chip ($6.50 HH): A generous dollop of caviar on a kettle cooked potato chip with creme fraiche underneath. A yummy combo but honestly something you could recreate at home. East Coast Oyster ($2.75 HH): My husband got a single oyster to try and thought it was pretty good. London Fog ($12 HH): Milk washed London dry gin, earl grey, aveze, dry curacao, and vanilla orange honey. I loved this cocktail. I don't usually like gin and find earl grey too strong on its own but this combination was perfection. It was also served in the cutest tea cup with a yummy cookie on the side. Morocco ($12 HH): Moroccan mint tea, terralta reposado, rye, fernet branca menta, and agave. Not my favorite compared to the London Fog but my husband absolutely loved it and said it was one of the best cocktails he has ever had. He even said it would have been his signature cocktail at our wedding. I was shocked but to each their own. Confit'd and Fried Chicken Wings ($7.50 HH): The most disappointing item of the night. Came with 6 wings tossed in a Korean wing sauce that tasted very close to buffalo. The wings themselves were average. Skip these. Beef Cheek Tacos ($12 HH): Came with 3 tacos that were some of the best we've had in a while. Delicious, flavorful, no notes. Highly recommend. Soft Serve Marg ($12 HH): Like a boozy dole whip that doubled as dessert. Not too heavy but not super strong either. A fun way to end the meal. Pekin Tom ($20): Duck fat washed wild turkey 101, lapsang peach liqueur, absinthe, and pecan smoke. Not part of the happy hour menu. They smoke it right in front of you which is a cool presentation but the taste was pretty average. APO Burger ($10 HH) + Truffle Fries Sub ($7): The truffle fries felt a bit steep but they ended up being worth it. Super crispy, delicious, and addictive. The burger was cut in half which made it easy to share and it came with a TX wagyu patty, bruleed fontina, Spanish tomato spread, garlic whip, and chive. Burst of flavors, melt in your mouth wagyu, absolutely chef's kiss. We will 100% be coming back. It's a perfect spot for an intimate date night.

During my second visit, I tried the Bitter Lemon Soda, which was also very good--simple, refreshing, and without any overpowering flavors. I actually enjoyed The Bowen House so much that I went twice during my weekend trip to Dallas. It has an almost speakeasy-like atmosphere, with low lighting and a cozy, historic feel. It's also in a very walkable area, which made it easy to visit on foot. There is some parking available, although I would say it's somewhat limited. I don't think it would be the best spot for a very large group, but it would be perfect for a few friends getting together. I also appreciated that you can order a drink while waiting for a table or bar seating, which made the wait feel much more enjoyable. Overall, The Bowen House was one of my favorite places I visited while in Dallas. The hotel property is like four legs under the table - a great location, a great hotel experience, a great restaurant experience, and a entertainment experience (The Mansion Bar). At least one leg has been kicked out, one is suffering. The Mansion Bar used to have a great recipe for success - proven by how busy and regular the customers were and loyal (or was), and the top tier talent that was routine for 10+ years. Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. I'm hoping whomever is making these decisions can revert back to what was working. Dallas has a lot of great venues that will fill this void.

HIDE Christmas Pop-Up Edition From the outside, HIDE was…read moresuper festive and eye-catching. Inside, there are two themed rooms: a toy-themed main bar and a Grinch-inspired second room, which I loved . There's also a rooftop, which I didn't make it up to see but adds to the overall appeal. The drinks were cute and very Christmas-inspired, which is perfect for the holiday vibe. Food-wise was a little less exciting. I had the Nashville hot dry-rub wings (waiter recommended). They were just okay. Definitely not the flavor I expected. I should've gone with the honey hot. The dirty fries, loaded with cheese, bacon, and peppers were really good, especially with ranch and ketchup . If you're looking for a cute holiday pop-up with festive décor and fun drinks, HIDE is worth checking out. Food and drinks start around $15 and up, so you're definitely paying for the experience

I visited here with a group of friends recently. I say "visited" and not "dined" because the food…read moreand service was awful. (I rarely post Yelp reviews so that's how bad it was) I ordered the steak frites medium-well (thinking it would probably come out well-done, as most non-steakhouses tend to do). After a long wait for our food (the restaurant didn't look that busy, but maybe a lot of to-go orders?) I received the pictured steak: I'm pretty sure I can still hear it mooing. How anyone could look at this and think this is medium-well is beyond me. I tried taking a bite, but it was so raw it was inedible to eat - I would've been chewing for ages. I brought this up to my waiter, who said he would take it back and speak to the kitchen. My group needed to leave for another event (didn't anticipate waiting nearly an hour for our food) so we simultaneously asked for our checks. The kicker? My waiter did not follow up with me on how raw the steak was and did not comp my meal/provide any kind of remedy. I wasn't looking for a free meal, but the lack of follow-through to remedy the situation was the icing on the cake (or insert some kind of raw steak pun). My cocktail (which all arrived AFTER our meals were delivered) was pretty good, thus the 2 stars. But I question why/how my steak was so raw despite me waiting 45-55 minutes for it. Overall, only come here for drinks - so long as you're okay with waiting forever & a day for them.
