For a group of 4 adults and one child we shared 2 pies and 1 salad and had our fill. The frose was a refreshing addition to the meal. It was garnished in rosemary and brown sugar on the glass. From the ambience, the decor, customer service, and most importantly, the food-- there wasn't a bad thing to say about it! The owner checked in on us as well which was a sweet gesture. Pie Tap is one of my favorite pizza spots! Their bread- both the crust and garlic knots- is AMAZING! I'm not sure how they make it, but I believe it only has 4 ingredients and takes 96 hours to make the crust. Whatever the method though, they've nailed it. On top of that, the garlic knots are served with this truly heavenly Asiago cheese butter. It's to die for! My go-to pizza is the prosciutto. It had ricotta cheese and pine nuts on top that make it one of the best prosciutto pizzas I've ever had. This time we did half-and-half, with salami on the other half. Also very tasty but prosciutto is still my favorite. We also took advantage of their $3 frosé which is very yummy, but this time seemed a bit sweeter than I remember. What a lovely brunch space! Most everything is shareable, and I strongly recommend the table get a couple different things to try and pass around the table. The pizza was awesome, great mimosas, but the pièce de résistance was our server, Michael! He gave great recommendations, has such a lovely personality, and gave our table a great time. Before today, you would have had a tough time convincing me that there was anything better to eat on Pie Tap's menu than the prosciutto pizza. Triggered by a low carb diet and feeling like a change of pace, we opted for the ricotta gnocchi. Wow. Best. Gnocchi. Ever. Each gnocchi nugget is a bite of creamy, pillowy goodness, like a bite of heaven, nicely browned on one side for good measure. When you need a changeup bite, there is a nicely sauteed buttery bite of spinach leaf or mushroom slice, ethereal. What could make this better? Serving it with a single garlic knot, with a bit of crunch and garlicky punch. For a $14 (relatively small portion) pasta dish, I think this is a fair ask, indeed. We really enjoy the pizza at Pie Tap, but sometimes the service just isn't all that great. The pizza is made with sourdough, which gives us a great excuse to eat it, but whether it's sitting at the bar and no one paying any attention to you, or our experience with take out just last night, the service just isn't that great. We waited an additional 15 minutes last night for our pizza and wings that we ordered, which means it took them 35 minutes to make a pizza and 5 little chicken wings. Our pizza was apparently done at the 20 minute marker, but the wings weren't, which means cold pizza. The pizza wasn't even warm carrying it out of the restaurant, so we had to completely reheat it after our 4 minute drive home. The more astonishing thing to us was that they didn't try to make up for the time and cold pizza, and just said "sorry about that." Typically places take care of you when they mess up some.. When we got home, we saw that our "Chicken Pizza" had maybe just 7 small pieces of shredded chicken on it. Many slices didn't even have any chicken! My small advice is to take care of customers when you cause them to wait, and add chicken to the chicken pizza! read more

The 3 of us came back Sunday during lunch to find parking easily and were seated right away! For a place that has "pizza" in the name, there surprisingly weren't too many pizzas on the menu. But no worries, all their food looked good! One of my friends got brunch and ordered french toast, while us 2 ordered pizza. The food came out fairly quickly and looked amazingly appetizing. The mushroom pizza was delicious! Rarely do I see pizza with egg on it, but it added really great flavor. The crust is also light and crispy, and so good. If you like to dip your pizza in ranch, it's $1. Letting you know so you aren't surprised when you see your bill and get charged for those three times you asked for ranch (oops). Went back and forth on the rating- the pro is the pizza; the dough was great! It was crispy and fresh. All around the pizza was top notch. Sadly it was the value that made the stars drop to 3- don't feel the pepperoni is worth 15$ - it's an easy and basic yet good pizza but value compared to the others? I don't know. Plus the service was not up to the value added for the pizza as well. It was an enjoyable time but not someplace I will be going back to on the regular - for 2 pizzas and a few beers.... the 60$ wasn't value added. But I do have to say the manager who recommended my beer was awesome; a great addition to the evening and beer find! The other reviews are correct, the pizza crust is AMAZING! Light, thin, crispy, and chewy at the same time. You definitely have to give it a try! I went on a Sunday. They have brunch 10am-3pm, but I decided to get pizza instead of brunch. They allow you to do 1/2 and 1/2 pizza so I ordered 1/2 sausage and 1/2 chicken. The sausage pizza has large slices of fennel sausage, caramelized onions, and smoked mozzarella. The flavors complemented each other and the onions gave it a slight sweetness which I enjoyed! The chicken pizza has roasted chicken, bourbon BBQ sauce, bacon, red onions, pepperoncini, cilantro, and smoked mozzarella. I also enjoyed this pizza! Normally I don't go for BBQ pizzas but the sauce was not too overwhelming. I definitely recommend these two! Additionally, the pizzas were pretty big and can be shared between 2 people, maybe 3. There is a parking lot but it is tiny. Parking is a hassle but on Sunday, I saw a sign that we can park in front of the animal hospital right next door or at birchwood across the street. I'm not sure about other days though. Also, we did go there the night before on Saturday, but it was extremely busy, over an hour wait for just 2 people so we decided to leave. So I've visited this location and the design district location and the food is equal at both. This one is closer to me so I've been to this one a few more times. The waitstaff is great and the restaurant is very cute. The bar seating is great and so is the outside seating. My favorite pizza would have to be the procuitto for SO many reasons. At first, I thought how gross is a pizza with dates on it. I love dates but it sounded horrible on a pizza. Kind of like pineapples. Sorry I think pineapples on a pizza are gross. Recently moved here from NYC and I was afraid I wouldn't find good pizza... glad to know the fear was unwarranted as Pie Tap proved me wrong. Had several pies that night with a couple of friends, one was a regular pepperoni pie, another was prosciutto with arugula, and the last was a BBQ chicken pie. Each one came out to perfection. All three had a thin crust, great quality cheese, and top of the line ingredients. The staff was also friendly and attentive. Our waitress struck a conversation with us and gave recommendations on pairings. We also asked her about the area around us and she was happy to give us suggestions. Great little place, valet is availble small little parking area, come early!.  We were seated right away with no reservation early on Saturday, great drink options.  Their breads were all made from sour dough!! I did not expect that at all, it was so light, very fresh and a perfect crest!  We started with the sour dough garlic bread with cheese, oh my God totally recommend it!!!
