The best food choice in the food hall. Service was great. The food was amazing! The sauces were well made and the elote was *chefs kiss

We were here on a Saturday during lunch hours so we decided to try this spot. The tech time was really good. It didn't take long at all for us to get our food, and there were a bunch of people who put in their order before us. Everyone got their food quick. I tried the beef nachos and the quesabirria tacos. The nachos were huge! I didn't even finish my nachos. As far as the tacos go, I liked the tacos more than the nachos. The meat was very soft and tender in the tacos. As far as the price goes, I thought it was fairly priced. You get a good amount of food for what you paid. In all, I didn't have a bad experience here at all.

Price - 5/5 Quantity - 5/5 Quality - 3/5 Service - 4/5 I'm giving this spot a 4/5 because of the price and quantity, but the quality was mediocre. I got the burrias, which are only available over the weekend. They were made within 5-10 mins of ordering, and the portion was very sizable with a generous portion of meat, especially for the price. However, it lacked diversity of flavor (salty but not flavorful) and was a bit too oily. However, compared to other joints in the food hall, definitely better than other spots.

I rarely eat tacos because I don't eat a lot of carbs(still on this recovering carbaholic journey), but I decided to take a walk on the wild side this weekend and mix it up a little. We got 4 Carne Asada tacos with onions and cilantro. Added their 2 sauces-guacamole salsa and a red sauce. Ba-be! I was not ready for that red sauce because it was fire- literally and figuratively ! I like spicy but it was WAY above my usual spice level. But I added some any way. The tacos were chef's kiss - delicious and flavorful and the seasonings were the cherry on top. Service was quick even though the food hall was busy. I will definitely visit again when we are back in Nashville.

My daughter and I visited the Chilangos Tacos in the Food Assembly Hall South side. The young lady at the register was pleasant and helpful. It didn't look like she loved her job, but it's fast food, who could blame her. My daughter ordered a pollo taco and chips and queso, while I got the pollo nachos. The tacos were typical street tacos and the queso was a blanco variety that was creamy, with a kick of flavor. It did not taste much like cheese. It didn't have that cheese aftertaste. The nachos were huge. It's enough for two - four people to pick from. The chips are good and crispy but not hard, and the pico was great. Unfortunately the pollo (chicken) we both had was charred and burnt and tasted like it. The nachos were also drowning in queso, sour cream, and a spicy seasoning they shook on top. It was a seasoning that was spicy, just to be spicy, and not because of flavor. It really would have been better left off or used more sparingly. It's an example of people thinking hot means better when it just doesn't. Hot means better when it's done in a flavorful way that accentuates the dish and brings out other aspects and nuances. I won't be back to Chilangos anytime in the near future. I'm headed back to Colorado where tacos are done better without drowning or spicing up the joint. Good luck though.

I have had good tacos at plenty of places in the city and Chilango is definitely one amongst them. The meat is always well cooked and a little smoky which is quite unique to this place. It comes with a side of tomatillo and salsa. Located at the assembly food hall, its a great place to try the tacos while you enjoy the live music. i have been here multiple times and it never disappoints.

Great spot for tacos in the food hall! We love getting the birria tacos but they're only available on the weekend until supply runs out. I've also had the nachos and they come in such a large portion, it's a great deal for the price. Expect the area to be busier on the weekends though, and a bit harder to find seating for a group of 4+.

In a city that serves some of the best tacos you'll ever eat, even for a jaded Southern Californian who grew up on authentic Mexican cuisine, Chilangos must have the worst Mexican food in town! So there we were in the outstanding Assembly Food Hall searching for lunch on a busy Saturday. Long lines formed beside every business, but the line at Chilangos was very short. That should have been our first warning. We always check the Yelp reviews before eating anywhere, but we're thwarted by an overloaded Wi-Fi at the crowded food hall and failed to gain any intel. Failing to see the mediocre ratings online, we joined the queue. It's clear none of the workers want to be there. As someone who waited and bussed tables for years, I know it's hard work. But you have to at least present a welcoming face for your customers. Two registers were open both run by young cashiers. One came available, but the person in front of us didn't notice. Rather than the cashier stating the obligatory, "I can take the next customer" she just stared off into space and avoided eye contact. Seriously? We finally told the person ahead of us that the other register was open. I also recall picking up our food and thanking the employee, only to receive a glare. I usually go for the most authentic dish, but the sirloin nachos seemed to showcase most of their ingredients, allowing me to fairly assess the quality of food. For the first time ever, I ate nachos with cold shredded cheese, cold salsa, room temperature queso dip, and room temperature sirloin of atrocious quality. It was an absolute train wreck! At least some of that needs to be warm and melted cheese is preferable, even if you have to shove it into a microwave. Cold nachos? Their guacamole salsa had pretty good flavor and nearly salvaged a two-star rating. But the homemade chips were awful and there were so many egregious errors along the way that this place deserves nothing better than one star.

Our favorite item here was the chicken nachos. The order is large, enough for 2 to split as a meal or up to 6 to share as an appetizer. The ranch cheese sauce is so delicious, creamy, and flavorful. Assembly food hall itself is a lively and bustling location. You order food at the relevant restaurant counter, pick up from the same place, then grab a table from the shared seating areas. It is very similar in style to a mall food court. They have assorted seating options, such as picnic tables, square tables, long tables, and high tops. They also usually have live music.

This is pretty good for Mexican street tacos. If you're looking for some good, authentic straightforward, Mexican food, this is a great place to check out. I loved their Elote. Really was cool to be surrounded by so many cool places and live music. Staff was really friendly.

Was surprised to find this here and the second I saw their actual food as they were making it, I knew it was going to be really close to authentic or Southern California style tacos. I was right! The salsas are AMAZING. Get extra green salsa if you're into it. Pastor and carne asada tacos were great, and the Las Costras (it's meat and fried cheese in a taco) was amazing. Service was the only slight let down along with I felt like the food was more on the colder side. Taste flavor and everything else was perfect. And there's not much of a line either!

The fact that Savannah's was right next door made it even more fun I stopped in on Taco Tuesday around lunchtime, and it was the perfect time to visit. There was a nice crowd, but it wasn't overly busy. I even picked up a Casa Rosa T-shirt as a souvenir after settling in at the bar. The highlight of my visit was Johnny, the bartender. I told him I wanted something sweet with tequila, and he created the perfect drink. I honestly don't know what he made, but it was so good I ordered a second one! We also discovered we're both from Chicago, which made for great conversation and made the experience feel even more welcoming. Johnny recommended the tacos, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. They were fresh and flavorful. Pair those tacos with two amazing tequila drinks, live music from a fantastic band, and my total bill came to under $50. If you're looking for a great lunch spot with good food, excellent drinks, live music, and outstanding service, Casa Rosa is definitely worth a stop. And if Johnny is behind the bar, you're in great hands. I can't wait to make it back to Nashville, and hopefully one day I'll get lucky enough to visit while Miranda Lambert is there!

It also takes longer than I feel it should to put orders together. More than once in the past we wanted to try this place, the line was only a few people long, but when we got up there the cashier told us orders were running about 30 minutes behind.
