Purchased a pool from Namco paid 5500.00 top of the line Salt water 27 round. April 2021 PBeach from Shrewsbury ,Mass installed my pool . September 2021 my pool was taken down today . We asked PBeach to come back an evaluate the buckle in the pool wall and that the water line was uneven . After several call to their secretary we finally got them to come back.... PBBeach told us this is normal it will work it's way out. Hmm how does the water even out ??? It was so noticeable! Over an inch un level!!! We had another pool company come out who said they would take this pool down but would not put it back up . They told us you need a new pool ,liner etc. When the pool was taken down today they found pieces of our pool duct taped where the frame meets the wall.....Other things not installed properly like the coves that are supposed to be covered with sand . The day they installed my pool the clamps on my filter were broken it took several phone call for them to come fix , my filter leaked for weeks!!!! Namco in Southington CT has been great in getting us a new pool ,liner etc and it will be re-enstalled on Saturday. Namco in Auburn,Mass uses PBeach ! My recommendation isPLEASE find another pool installer don't use PBeach they are incompetent And unsafe!!! They are a scam! read more

After the missed appointments, the crew finally showed up to install a small above ground pool, upsold the foam for the bottom edge and neglected to put it in! They claim that something "burrowed" under the edge and must have eaten the foam! Total BS!!!! read more

this company is bad news. not once did this company steal from my property. but twice they stole from my property. the first time they stole the upgraded motor I ordered for my pool. the installed the 1 HP and took the 1.5 hp. didn't ask me or anything. at first they denied then when I sent screen shots and threatened legal action they "found it". they did such a bad job installing my pool it was coming out of the tracks. It took 6 weeks for them to come fix it. when they came they stole my pick axe. Once again I have them on camera. The owner Fred lives at 9 Fairview shrewsbury in case he's ripped you off too. Highly do NOT recommend this company. My pool was to be installed on 5/21 they never showed up, didnt even receive a courtesy call to let me know they weren't going to make it. Have called numerous times to ask when they would reschedule...either I get "I'll call you by the end of the day with new date" or no answer, I even think they are screening my call..... Worst customer experience ever. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I needed a repair in my in -ground pool. My husband called and the lady stated that they should be able to send someone today. My husband left work early and headed home. NO ONE showed up. He called, no one answered. The next day my husband called again. The lady ensured him that someone was going today and not to worry. NO ONE showed up again. He was able to reach someone at the office and they stated that someone was on its way and shoud be arriving soon. Same story, NO ONE come. The moral of the story, DO NOT USE THEM. I rather pay extra and bring my business elsewhere, then dealing with unprofessional and liars. read more

I needed my above ground liner replaced.Joanna who works the office was fantastic. I spoke to her on Friday afternoon and she emailed me the contract and told me that they could come the next day. I informed her that the pool was not empty and she said she would get a hold of Fred to drop off a pump that afternoon. Fred arrived with the pump at 3:30 and started pumping out the water. He said he will be back early Saturday afternoon. When Fred and his crew arrived, they were very professional. Everyone know what they had to do. They did the job in 3 hours and left everything spotless. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know. read more

Stay FAAAR FAAAR AND AWAY from working with Fred. From poor quality work to no shows, no calls, no response, disappearing for weeks! A project that was supposed to take "3 weeks and we're out of here" in Fred's own words, has no dragged over for more than 11 months after my first payment. I believe that PBeach is a busy and very successful law firm and they do that pool business as a charity. I gave up on trying to get an estimate after the 10th call . Three times I spoke with the lady and every time she promised to call me right back with prices and dates. Guess what? Never happened! PLEASE READ ALL WRITTEN BELOW.... WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!! They claim 25 years of professional experience, I think not...More like 25 seconds...and use day laborers...were should I begin... Had to wait two and a half months to get the pool installed and that was only after calling bare minimum of 4 times to get it set up ourselves. I have still to this moment have never received a call back from them, I have always had to call and that is when I could get a hold of someone. The day of the install, we were supposed to receive a call by 10.30 AM to let us know if they would be completing the installation today due to the weather. OK I am OK with that but then when 12.30 rolls around I still haven't received a call and have made every attempt myself to get in touch with them over the two hour span, I'm frustrated. Finally we received a call back at 3.10 PM with information that they would be coming today. Mind you they had already told us our pool would take up to 6 hours to install. They came an hour and fifteen minutes later than communicated to us. Our first communication from the owner, who was onsite, he appeared to be drunk. He was slurring and tripping over himself. Once they started working and beginning to grade our land the owner of the company operated the bobcat at faster speeds than I would have liked to see. Nothing was damaged but before he started he was made aware of the french drains we had installed and wanted to make sure he was careful not to hit them. Thankful nothing happened. Once hearing and watching all of the men working we believe 4 out of the 6 of them had been drinking. We noticed two of the men walking in and out of garage and were smoking while doing so. Now me and my husband are smokers but I'll be damned if we would go into our house and do it regardless of a two second run in and they were aware of that so they never should have entered our home in that way. Mind you this garage is attached to our house. Then they proceeded to ask me and my husband for cigarettes and made us feel completely uncomfortable like they were less fortunate feeling obligated to provide them for them. We were inside our home, with newly replaced windows, almost sound proof from the outside, and could hear them yelling at each other to the point I thought our neighbors would be calling the cops for domestic disturbance. One guy took off and came back about 45 minutes to an hour later talking to himself the entire time making us realize he was 100% on something and/or drunk as well. Then he proceeded to walk behind our shed and go to the bathroom in our yard. This same man started to talk to me and my husband and say "can you tell I hate the people I work with, I mean really hate the people I work with, all they do is stab you in the back." Made us very uncomfortable. Then the owner asked to use our bathroom. We are not mean people, wouldn't turn him away and tell him to use a public restroom, we allowed him in our home. He proceeded to go to the bathroom, #2 at that, stinking up my house, leaving the light on, and not turning on the fan to circulate the air out. Then we get a knock at the door asking for cold bottled water. Again not mean people we gave them fresh ice cold bottled water...no thank you was given...when they left they were half drunken and the bottles were thrown on the ground for us to pick up when they left. Finally they are done and knock at the door to complete the "paperwork" they ask for a piece of paper and write some verbiage on it that we cant read, ask us to sign it, and state they don't have actual forms yet. Then tells us its 150.00 for the dig. I say OK is check OK, and he responds with I prefer cash. I responded with don't we all, went upstairs grabbed my checkbook and wrote him a check. I find this completely rude and shady. While I am signing my check he picked up MY PACK of cigarettes and asked if he could have one. Again uncomfortable in our own home we said yes. He then left. Another knock at the door, my husband is asked to go outside...he tells him he has taped the hose to the pool and how high to fill it. We say OK come back inside and then another knock at the door comes. We answer and he proceeds to ask me if he can leave his bobcat in our yard because they have another pool to install tomorrow up the street. Now I am beyond livid and told him NO. He then proceeds to say REALLY?! Like it is owed to them, and I said REALLY, NO! They left not happy. They left our house at 9.30 PM. We couldn't see at this point as it was dark so we figured we would check out the pool in the morning...Our 9000.00 pool is scratch everywhere, we have crooked posts, and the tape they used was duck tape and it ruined the ledge of our pool. If you were to use this company after all of the above you should have yourself committed to a mental institution because you are clearly NUTTS!!!! read more

Fred and his team of 4 showed up, went straight to work and worked hard for 6 hours to get our pool in, and kept going under work lights. Office crew was great to,work with. We had been scheduled through Namco and Namco failed to follow through and this group made it happen. Tough season for any installation service, but they made it happen. read more

Its the start of the summer and given the Covid-19 Pandemic everyone under the sun is trying to have a pool installed, vacations are turning into stay-cations, kids sports, camps and schools have all been cancelled. Pool companies (those selling and those servicing/installing) are bombarded with requests, P. Beach was the third installation company that I spoke with and the only company that returned my call. Johanna in the office is extremely helpful with providing updates and tries to accommodate all of your requests (just be reasonable). Some things to remember: 1 - This is a crazy time to have a pool installed with the start of summer and the pandemic - you cannot expect to order a pool and have it installed tomorrow. 2 - There is quite a delay in the product delivery time/availability and the time available for installation. 3 - Be flexible - delays happen with any contractor - jobs run over, just because you are scheduled one day does not mean they are going to leave someone else's job 90% done just to keep your originally scheduled day (they are going to finish one job to 100% before moving on to the next, you would want the same). Also - people get sick/equipment breaks down/ there are other emergencies that arise. 4 - Be prepared for the installation - have the location clearly marked, provide a trash bin for any trash (otherwise trash winds up inside the cardboard boxes that will need to be sorted before you can take to recycling). Know what you are going to do with all of the dirt removed in the process of leveling out the ground. 5 - Provide a cooler with water/ice - not required - but on a hot day it's a nice gesture. 6 - Anticipate the crew to be there for a long day - my house was 90 minutes from their location - coming back for a 2nd day to finish the job wasn't realistic - it took a crew of 5 over 8 hours to put up my 18x33 ft pool. read more

Even though it was a long time ago I will never forget the experience. All day labor workers, some very shady people who you would not want at your house. Showed up after I kept getting put off and I offered to pay more just to get the pool installed, it was summer after all. 8PM on a Saturday night about 20 guys show up, proceed to rip up my yard and install the pool. this has to be BY FAR the worst customer service my family and I have EVER experienced. Our pool was suppose to be installed on "X" date and they made excuse after excuse as to why they weren't coming day after day. Their truck broke down (apparently the company has just one truck), someone called in sick. The woman at the company even said she was receiving death threats from customers who were looking for their pools to be installed and had been waiting and waiting and getting excuses as to why the company had not been there yet. Although death threats are very extreme, this company is the WORST. Do not use them, my family and I do not want any other families to have to go through this. read more

Used these idiots to install our pool....what a mistake! Had to be THE worst experience of our lives.... they showed up @ 8pm to start on the day of install on top of that, they blew the engine on the backho trying to get a large rock out of the way....I'm sure my neighbors loved that at 9:30! Once they were done, the next day mind you, we discovered a sink hole. I called to have them come out only to be told I need to empty the pool, then call so she could schedule it which wouldn't be until sometime in August! Okay, so no pool for the summer when I paid the summer prices! This is only a few issues we had with them. I am too irritated to go on and on about how unprofessional they are. Did I mention one worker "relieving" himself in my back yard? Or the countless cigarette butts found all over my yard? I honestly cant believe the other terrible reviews of this company! They did an amazing job on my 30x20 pool and also built a beautiful deck around the entire pool! The owner fred is a true gentleman, my wife was home the day of the install and couldn't remember everything fred explained about the pool care so fred drove 2 hours from his home on a Sunday (which apparently is his only day off during pool season) to come out and show me what I needed to know! Besides going way out of his way to make sure I was comfortable with the pool info he also sent out a crew free of charge in the fall to help me winterize my pool as well as came to open my pool this spring! I wouldn't trust anyone else to work on my pool and highly recommended fred and his crew! After speaking with fred I found out he had been in business installing pools for 30 years and has installed over 5000 pools! So having only 8 unhappy customers out of 5000 is a pretty great if you ask me! read more

I found the crew extremely courteous and professional. They are, like most pool companies, extremely busy. However, they called on the day I was scheduled to say they would be here in the morning, and they came promptly. Most companies wouldn't bother. I found them knowledgeable and very helpful. Then they never showed the first day, I had to call them, they promised to be there the next day, no show... This went on for 4 days. I should have written this 3 years ago when these idiots installed our pool. Stay far away from them. they showed up at 8:00pm and ripped apart my yard horribly and took off. A crew of goons showed up the next day and rushed through my install. Well what a shitty job they did. None of the support beams were placed on the bricks they put down, some were half on half off, the pool was not level, off by inches. Even though the ground that the pool was being put on was pretty level with the rest of the yard, they dug down so deep that it looks like its in a hole. When my husband confronted the owner about the issues, he accused my husband of just being an asshole and the meathead got in his face like he was going to beat him up, with a cigar hanging out of his mouth. So unprofessional. We discovered shortly after filling it with water, we had a leak and needed a new liner, didn't even have it 2 weeks. For some reason, Namco backed up these jerks and were of no help getting it resolved. Stay away from them both. Interesting to read others having the same experience with them. The reason I am posting this now is I just had a reputable installer here to replace my liner and he was shocked and appalled at how much of a junk job they did installing. He ended up redoing basically everything. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Very Unethical Company. I was quoted $475 to install a liner and gave them a deposit of $100. When I get the agreement there are all extra charges and a clause stating my deposit was "non-refundable". At that point I could have gone to Small Claims Court, but that would have taken a few months and half a day from work, so I went ahead and had them do it. I was just out looking at the liner and it is uneven all the way around the pool. Where the seam of the liner should be at the edge of the pool, it is a few inches into the floor. I cannot image this liner will last very long the way it was installed. I am calling the Attorney General's Office tomorrow morning to file a formal complaint about this company. If this review stops 1 person from using this company I will feel that my review was worth it. read more

They canceled on me 3 times, twice the night before and once on the day of. When they finally came out I was told I had to pay more money or they would leave. The Office Manager, Diane, was awful to deal with. She called me screaming at me demanding more money for a part of the job that was never even completed. She then threatened to take me to small claims court. After my installation was completed there were large tire marks all over my yard as well as a lot of grass ripped up.
