Plain. There really isn't much to write home about for this place. We got a pepperoni pizza, salad, and cheese sticks delivered. It took a little more than 45min to arrive. The food was dropped off with a sack that I thought would have some utensils or napkins or something, instead it just contained out receipt... The delivery guy was quick to walk off with my change, I asked for two dollars back (from $40 off a $33, giving a $5 tip... ). He said that he only had one single for change, and me thinking that I was getting all this food and acutramon to eat, well okay have a six dollar tip. Only to find out that I had just been handed a wilted and half-olive salad along with cheese bread that had the flavor of turkey and a pie that underperformed Walmart frozen competition... TL;DR: Bad delivery, bad pizza, really bad salad/cheese bread.... BAD! read more

Have eaten here on numerous occasion and the pie has been consistently good. It tastes fresh, not like what you get from a chain. Salami pizza anyone?--something you don't see that often. They also have a white pizza that has Alfredo sauce with Italian ham, sausage, capers, mushrooms, and artichoke hearts. Nice choice for family member who does not like red sauce. Me... Ordered over the phone. When we arrived to pick up our order. I questioned about the establishment. Was told a local small business owner that had other small eatery's, owned it. I've been a fan since I first found the place. I think that others have notated it well, it's not fast food, it's pizza. As such, you need time for the pizza dough to bake properly. I usually forget that, but I just did my first phone order and it was so much easier! I usually just get a slice of pizza. I love the thin, NY style slices and just add a topping or two. Although, I recently tried the Calzone and a salad. Both were quite good. The Calzone was fantastic, the bread is so dang good. I could have gone with about 50% of the cheese, but I'm guessing most Calzone lovers would slap me for that statement. The salad was pretty dang good for a pizza joint. I got no frills and just enjoyed the lettuce with ranch and a couple veggies. Admittedly, the peppers were not my favorite. They would've been better on a pizza slice. I almost feel like they were sauteed prior to adding them to my salad. I will keep going here for a long time. I love the pizza and it's definitely worth it. read more

Pie Hole is awesome because you can custom order your slice. I prefer cheese, (boring, I know) and Jeff H. prefers close to everything on the menu. "Oh! I should've gotten ham, too..." - classic Jeff. I've always gotten delicious results from the standard cheese, and everything else I've ventured out on has been wonderful as well. Their supreme looks like it contains almost every fresh vegetable ever, as well as all the meats in the universe. It's a LOT of stuff. The garlic bread is covered in some kind of whole-garlic action, so the pro move here would be to stick with the pie. I mean, come on. If you're going to dine-in, be sure to go at a slightly off-peak time, as there are only a few tables inside and they go quickly. They have outdoor seating as well, if weather permits that kind of thing. Their delivery service is good, too, but I live close so take out works best for me and anyone else in the midtown area who isn't too lazy to pick up dinner. read more

Pie Hole is a great place to go if you want some good, fairly priced food, without having to deal with crowds. Although it isn't my favorite pizza in Tulsa, I prefer to order Pie Hole sometimes if I know my favorite place is going to be jam-packed (which it is on the weekends). My favorite thing to get is the calzone. You can choose two toppings to go inside. It's enough for two people to split. I'm a big guy, and if I eat a whole one (which I've done before) I feel absolutely stuffed afterwards. I mostly use Pie Hole for take-out, because the inside is kind of small and it's not really in an area where there are other fun places to go before or afterwards, but occasionally I will go in for lunch on the weekends. The inside has four or five tables with cool retro furniture, and usually there are some posters for local art shows and concerts. It's a pretty cool vibe. LOCATION: Not a "go-to" destination. You would not want to go there on a weekend with a group of people. FOOD: The food is great. No complaints. No-frills pizza. PRICE: Very fair prices. SERVICE: Employees are nice. Not the speediest, so be prepared to wait about 45 minutes for your food to arrive if you order delivery. read more

Pie Hole has a big place in my heart, both because it is about two blocks from where I live and also because it is tiny in size. Oh, and the pizza is not bad either. *a-wink* They do $2.99 slices of whatever you could possibly want, and have pretty cheap drinks as well. They also make whole pies for between $10-15 depending on size and toppings. Tulsa has lots of independent pizza joints, but this one remains my favorite. Piehole is a great pick when you need a pizza fix in whole pie form or by the slice, with fantastic toppings and superb crust. Plus, with service in about 20 minutes, you'll never wait too long to satisfy that craving! A medium sized pie may feed three adult-sized lunch portions of two slices each. My pick of pies? The supreme. Imagine an aromatic lightly crisped crust that holds the tasty tomato sauce along with the weight of fresh and generous toppings. Each large slice feature perfectly portioned meats, crunchy peppers, sautéed onions, and the highlight goes to the whole garlic cloves. Pie Hole is my comfort food when I return to Tulsa. read more

Just east of the Broken Arrow Freeway on 15th street/Cherry a very modest hole in the wall pizza shoppe with NY Style Pizza on it's window. Got the Classic and it was very good with LOTS of tasty vegetables and a fair amount of meat for about $19 bucks. Only complaint is they don't do double dough/thick crust Chicago style like I like.This pizza is fairly thin and flops over and spills over the plate...gimme some THICK dough 'cause it's all about the bread for me! I mostly do carryout and used to go there for lunch. It is a very small place and that may be part of the charm. For carryout, I almost always get the classic. Kind of a supreme with a ton of whole garlic. What sticks out for me is the detail of the chopped vegetables that are mixed in. If you love garlic, get the classic. Seems like on some certain day of the week, they have a special that makes it a great deal. Last week, they threw in a few pieces of their cheesey bread (don't know what they call it). Came with some marinara type sauce and that was really nice while I was setting up for eating the pizza. Wrong part of town for me, but definitely a go to place when I am in their neighborhood. Good pizza; great decor. The artful painting on the exterior should be enough to make you interested. The phone rang off the hook for pick-ups and deliveries. Many of the customers were obvious regulars--including a worker at the nearby liquor store who came twice while I was there. This place is tiny. If there are multiple diners eating in, you will become very familiar with them. I was sandwiched between two tables of one family with kids going back and forth to get pizza from the opposite table. This could be an advantage if you have one of those non-descript looks. All said, I would still suggest dining in. That way, you can speak with the charming staff. It was a tag-team affair with each scurrying to the back to accomplish some work while another chatted with the customers out front. The staff is completely affable, and I am sure they would strive to accommodate special requests. The selections and toppings are varied enough that you can piece together the pie you want. But unlike some trendy spots, the options aren't ridiculous. The crust is crispy and chewy with some real bite. The sauce was a little mundane, but there are options. I have given Pie Hole two chances to convince me that they deserved my money. On both occasions they failed. The fist visit was ruined by burnt pizza that was over priced. I did not complain since they had just opened. Looking back I should have though. I decided to give them another try a few weeks ago. I arrived around 1:30pm. I was one of two customers. I ordered two slices of pizza. The pizza lacked cheese and was once again burnt. Since I was running late for work, I let it go and just left. If you are looking for good pizza in Tulsa, avoid Pie Hole. They charge a premium for pizza that id sub-standard. Try Hideaway or Umberto's (in that order). read more

Ordered the 12" Canadian bacon with one side added gyro. I don't know why they really cut us short on the gyro, if they didn't have enough or what. Giving it a 4 Star since this is the only time I've been disappointed. Been coming here regularly at least 1x a month for over a year now. Don't know if they just had an off night or what.
