Pier 22 has the best view of the sunset in Sarasota county. I recommend booking an outdoor table a half hour before sunset. There is complementary valet, but obviously be civilized and tip the fella. We had the poutine, which was excellent. The grouper sandwich, fried, also excellent. The Parmesan sauce pasta, very good as well. We had a $200 dining experience for a $100! What a fabulous Saturday morning brunch. We sat outside on the terrace, overlooking the water of the beautiful Manatee River. The temperature outside was a comfortable 84° and there was just enough shade from the oak tree which stretched out over several tables to make it more enjoyable. This location is pet friendly for their guests dining on the terrace. My little pooch was happy to be there with us for brunch. We started with the beignets. They were perfectly cooked, covered in just the right amount of powdered sugar. Our server brought us a little chocolate sauce to drizzle over them. It was a nice touch and they became so bougie. I had the shrimp and grits. Talk about creamy! I don't think the grits could have been cooked any better. The shrimp was blackened and our service recommended I get their butter sauce on the side to dip the shrimp in. Good call! It made them taste even more spectacular. My friend had the soft shell crab sandwich with fries. He said it was absolutely divine. If you've never eaten here, I don't know what you're waiting for. By far my favorite place to eat in all of Florida. Elegant, yet relaxed family friendly. Food 5 star yet reasonably priced. I can't say enough good things, stayed on Anne-Marie Island and this is by far the best food around and worth the short drive over. Amazing service, excellent staff. Chad was an amazing server, even in the middle of a summer thunderstorm. We ordered the California Rolls, Fish Tacos, BBQ Ribs all from the Happy Hour Menu. It was all delicious, the California Rolls were fresh and served cold with all of the sides. The Fish Tacos were very tasty and served with cole slaw and salsa, the BBQ ribs were tender and delicious served hot. The lady next to us had their homemade chips with dressing and they looked amazing she said they were great. The atmosphere is wonderful, beautifully situated on Tampa Bay especially during a after summer thunderstorm. Reservations are not required for Happy Hour but I would suggest getting there early so you can get a table by the water like we did. Hopefully you can get lucky and have Chad as your waiter, he is great. Very helpful with menu selections checks on you often. We will be back soon! read more

We have been to this restaurant numerous times on our visits here. Everytime it's been great. The bartenders are wonderful. We tend to almost always sit at the bar to eat. Last night I had a Philadelphia Roll and shrimp cocktail it was delicious. My husband had blacked cod with wok vegetables and potatoes. He would honestly eat it every day if he could. read more

Visiting area it was valentine's Day so we did not know that they would have just a special menu unfortunately the food was OK my tuna was delicious the rest of the group there was four of us said the food was just OK that included the prime rib sea bass two appetizers we're supposed to sit outside but unfortunately rain was expected so we ate inside There was an error made on my salad the waitress made it right that we appreciate !! Never have eaten here before a friend took us and it was well worth the time and money. Well, our second visit was not as impressive as our initial dessert/cocktails here. Positives- promptly seated for our Saturday reservation , outside table with lovely view of the sunset. Dog friendly patio. Service was hopscotch, no one checking after the food was delivered. Staff is friendly just overwhelmed. Fish and chips recommended by the manager. Plenty of fish; however, fries were old and cold. By the time, the server checked back and we ordered replacements, the hot fresh fries showed up for dessert! Another recommendation, the seared tuna. Sigh, it was thick medallions of sinewy tough fish served with sweet eel sauce instead of soy sauce. That was very disappointing as there is a small sushi station in the restaurant. Expectations were higher and disappointment levels abound. Skip dinner and stick with dessert only. read more

Pier 22 is the place we go when we're looking for something lite to eat by the water. We typically just do Bar Bites. We love the Mussels and Bleu with the the bleu cheese and bacon bits -- perfect for dunking up the white wine garlic sauce with their warm rolls. The Balsamic Chips are a great start. We usually finish up with the Monte Cristo with extra strawberry coulis. Add a couple of glasses of house chardonnay and it makes for a really nice evening on the patio. read more

Made a reservation for this restaurant. It's in such a beautiful location. Went to the hostess stand and the hostess definitely need to polished and trained better. They were looking at their phones , looking down and didn't acknowledge us until I said "hi" twice. The hostess brought us to a table indoors and I had asked for a table outdoors and she rudely puts down the menus and says "you'll have to go talk to the outside hostess " ummm no that's your job. So my hubby went and spoke to the outside hostess and got us a table on the back deck they said "it's random indoors or outdoors seating" well then we want to be randomly seated outside. How bizarre. Anyway our waiter was really nice and friendly. We had the fresh calamari appetizer and we found the mustard soy sauce to be a strange dip for the fried calamari. Keep it classic with a sweet chili or a marinara, get rid of that weird soy mustard. My Grouper piccata was really good, the corn risotto was thick and needed some of that lemon cream that was on the grouper to cut the thickness of the corn risotto. The duck entree was very good with the mash potatoes and veggies. We enjoyed our night and would go again! read more
