[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very fancy place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Was there on a Saturday around 1:30. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not what I would call a cafe, however. More of a fine dining restaurant/bistro.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Should have read more carefully, I guess. Expensive but very good food, I had the escargot and the panko crusted cod.

Had a music venue close by and wanted Tom try this tiny French bistro. Is really cute and the owners and staff are great. Treat u very warm. Tables are tight but comfy'. We started with jumbo coconut shrimp. They were big but not much flavor. Dipping sauce was a weird mustard sauce. But shrimp were fresh and snappy. Also ordered tuna tartare with avocado . Table liked it. Was super fresh and cold with a nice vinaigrette. My buddy ordered lobster ravioli . He order . Double order cause one order was too small he loves the ravioli but it was with a soupy broth. I had a rigatoni ams shrimp dish. With crusted with a white cream Sauce. It was a tarragon cream sauce with panko toasted crumbs over pasta. It was dry and didn't have much taste. My wife has the stuffed chicken with crispy Brie With baby spinach salad warm bacon mushroom with onion balsamic Demi glacé My wife didn't like it. It was a weird combo and way too sweet. Cute place wait staff top notch. The dinners need some fine tuning. Parking is tuff

My girlfriend and I stopped in here for dinner the other night and what an experience! The waiter and staff is very pleasant and made it such a nice evening. They gave us a complementary appetizer which had a coconut shrimp and lentil soup. They were both great. The braised short rib was amazing, so tender and delicious. The tarragon rigatoni was SO good! We also had dessert, a chocolate cake and crème brûlée, both were great Definitely plan on coming back !

This was such a cute place for a girls night out. The staff was very friendly. My friend and I came for an 8pm reservation. I ordered the tarragon rigatoni and she ordered the brisket. I loved my meal. The flavor of the cream sauce was incredible and the pasta was perfectly cooked. I tasted my friends brisket, and wished it had more flavor because it was pretty bland but the presentation was good. For dessert we had the flourless chocolate cake and creme brulee. We also had espresso martinis which was delicious. Overall I loved the atmosphere and the restaurant. Would definitely come here again.

Date night and also to celebrate our anniversary. Delicious braised short ribs, tender and juicy. The Thai pasta app with shrimp were also good.. liked the fresh basil and jumbo shrimp in it, pasta was Al dente and perfect. Nice available wine pairings as well. Butternut squash soup was tasty with nice touch of pumpkin seeds and a hint of basil. Also enjoyed the bread pudding dessert with a side of vanilla ice cream. Service was on point, courteous and friendly. The vibe was vibrant and lively on a Friday night. We finished everything we ordered and thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here.

Abdul, our bartender, remembered my name, which made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. It's those personal touches that create a memorable dining experience. During our meal, we accidentally ordered the wrong paella. We knew it was our mistake and never intended to ask for a replacement. However, the owner overheard our conversation and immediately stepped in to make it right without hesitation. That level of hospitality and customer care is rare and speaks volumes about how they treat their guests. The attention to detail extends to the bar as well. Their Old Fashioned is made the way it should be--with a large ice block that keeps the drink cold without watering it down. As John Taffer often says, "If an Old Fashioned doesn't have a large ice block, they're not paying attention to detail." Basque clearly does. If you're looking for outstanding food, exceptional service, and a restaurant that truly cares about its customers, I highly recommend Basque. Give it a try--you won't be disappointed.

This restaurant is known for authentic Spanish small plates, generous paellas, imported Spanish ingredients, decadent desserts, and wonderful warm bread to start your culinary meal with. The seafood paellas are portion perfect ie; large, the tapas favorites include garlic shrimp, octopus, croquetas, Iberico ham, lamb chops, and seasonal specials. Because the dining room is relatively small, expect a noisy environment. Weekend waits can be long because of this restaurant's popularity, but it is so worth the wait. If one arrives early, there will be no problem with sitting at the bar or nabbing a table. The staff is friendly, the clientele is neighborly, and you're guaranteed to enjoy your restaurant experience here. For Piermont, it's one of the strongest dining experiences available, particularly if one enjoys sharing plates. If you're going for the first time, I'd order the garlic shrimp, a few tapas to share, and one of the paellas for the table. Thank you Benny for bringing Piermont to our neighborhood. *For those across the river in Westchester, enjoy Basque in Tarrytown.

In the summer, the outdoor garden is especially charming. With its tables tucked among the greenery and an outdoor bar, it feels romantic, relaxed, and a little bit like you've escaped the suburbs for the evening and found yourself in the heart of a tiny European street at a village restaurant. The dining room is surprisingly spacious for a Piermont restaurant, yet still remains intimate. Between the sidewalk seating that brings a bit of a Parisian café atmosphere to the village and the beautiful garden out back, there are plenty of great spots to enjoy a main fish or a few appetizers .... or both. And while drinks can vary depending on who's behind the bar, my favorite bartender there makes a truly excellent cocktail (no names). Overall, a great place for sitting at the bar and mingling with whoever is sitting next to you, or dinner with your special person.

Inside reservations were being taken, there was a bit of a wait but it was well worth it. Our party of 3 ordered the octopus and an arugula salad as an appetizer. The octopus was divine - would come back for this specifically. We split entrées and ordered the short ribs, orrecchiette, and Chilean sea bass. Pretty big portions and the flavor to match! A huge kudos to the hostess up front, who navigated a pretty grumpy crowd with such grace. Understandably, it was a very busy day, and the restaurant was packed. We probably could've used a bit more attention from the waiter after we were seated, as we would've liked another cocktail, but overall a great experience. Looking forward to coming back.

The place was a ghost town when we went in this week, and my prediction is this place doesn't have long to live.

Went with my wife and she had a cocktail ( I drank water). She is not a big drinker and she gets tipsy after 1/2 glass of wine but she didn't feel anything after this cocktail. She didn't think there was actually any alcohol in the drink. We then split a chopped salad and when they brought it to the table we were in disbelief. It was so tiny there were only a few chunks of lettuce. Tasted great but it was literally a child's portion. For our main course she had the filet with lobster tail and I had a petite filet. We both ordered medium rare. The lobster was awful. So heavily spiced that it was hard to eat. The steaks were both significantly over cooked. They came out close to well done. The side dish of Mac and cheese was completely dry, very little of any sauce. We skipped desert. So for 1 drink, one salad, one side dish and 2 entrees our bill with tip was $300. Walking out I just felt like we had been ripped off. The service was fine, the food wasn't. We won't be back.
