Extra BBQ sauce on a Piero's sandwich... a dollar? This is a buck?
    Ron K.

We love Piero's pizza. Their Thin crust is right up there with Lou's deep dish. That's saying a lot. But l'm a bit perplexed. After casually eyeballing our receipt, I saw the one topping, onions - our favorite, was an additional $3.06. I mentioned this to my lovely bride when I got nome, "How much does an onion run?" I asked. She recalled a nice Vidalia onion running about $.80 cents at Sunset Foods in Highland Park. What, I wondered, did Piero's add to thier onions to drive the value to $3.06? Whatever that might be clearly contributes to the sumptuous flavor of thier Zah! It also occurred to me, there we're never quite enough onions. Piero's is a store front and boats one table and two chairs. It's sort of romantic. But mostly a take-out or delivery set-up Now we order a naked large crust pizza. See what's coming? I slice up a Vadalia adding the exact amount of onion desired, shoot that puppy in the oven for another 5 -7... and it's to die for! Do try Perio's BBQ (sauce is scrumptious) chicken sandwich served on a soft & chewy roll. Their deep dish is excellent as I mentioned above. Thier menu has a variety of great food and salads... but $3.06 for onions? Sigh... 2024. It's all Trump's fault.

    Thin crust Thin Cheese Pizza

Last night we ordered pieros pizza. We ordered thin crust cheese pizza and a pan style sausage. When I called it in the guy in the phone was very nice and helpful. My daughter and I had the cheese pizza. It was overall a good pizza. I pulled the cheese off while my daughter ate just the cheese. The sauce is tasty. Overall, I prefer a crispier crust so maybe next time I will get the super thin crust. While we didn't go to the restaurant, my husband said it was busy and we'll run.

If you enjoy stuffed or deep dish pizza this is a fantastic choice. We love the stuffed spinach and pepperoni. Service is great.

It was such a thoughtful touch that made our celebration feel extra special. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful with such a romantic atmosphere. It was the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. Our server, Nathan, was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The manager also stopped by to check on us, which really showed how much they care about their guests. I've dined at much more expensive restaurants before, and I've honestly never experienced this level of hospitality. The food was incredible 10/10! Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The portions were generous, and I couldn't even finish my meal because there was so much delicious food. Overall, this was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the outstanding service to the beautiful ambiance and amazing food, everything exceeded our expectations. Thank you to Nathan and the entire team for making our anniversary so memorable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience!

We came for an evening with friends and decided to take advantage of the Sunday "per la famiglia…read more(serves four)" special when we saw the menu. What looked like a generous offer of comfort food at a reasonable price, at a lovely Italian restaurant, was actually a gimmick worthy of Ebenezer Scrooge. Dinner started with a tasty chopped salad that would have been a reasonable entree for one or enough to share as an appetizer for two. It was a large spoonful each for four. The four garlic knots that accompanied the salad were each about 2x2x2 inches, and when we asked for a refill of both the salad and bread we were told "that's all you get." The spaghetti came with 2 meatballs in a portion size that looked like it was enough for an entree for only 1 person. We waited a moment and when no more came realized we were screwed. Later, seeing our disappointment, the waiter was kind enough to secretly get 2 more meatballs out of the kitchen for us to pretend there were portions for each person at the table. Had they been serving Italian tapas, maybe we could have pretended it was a fair approach. The 16 inch cheese pizza was good but nothing special and the tiramisu provided 4 small pieces a little larger than the garlic knots mentioned earlier when cut into squares. I don't know what kind of "famiglia" Salvatore "Sal" Lo Cascio, the culinary director at Ballyhoo Hospitality, or Ryan O'Donnell, the CEO, have; but they probably don't eat very much. Perhaps they expect the famiglia of their guests to be a single parent with young children or a group of little persons. In short, the food tasted good, the dining room was lovely, the service was outstanding, and the portions and prices were a complete rip-off to the point that the place should be put out of business. With two iced teas, a glass of house wine, tax and a generous tip the bill came to well over $100 and this morning when checking the receipt for this review I found out that they charged us $8.00 for the extra meatballs which the waiter pretended were a secret, complimentary addition. Not very nice!

The decor is so cozy, it reminds me of my grandmas house in here haha, I love it. My partner and I split a pizza and it was plenty of food for the both of us. I ordered and paid for two small pizzas at the counter, and learned I had to go to bar for drinks. The same cashier came over to take my drink order, where I paid separately. In about 15 minutes, our pizzas were ready at the counter: One with only cheese, and the other with sausage. We immediately noticed the ruffled-edge crust, which looked more like a pie for dessert. We both took a bite of each pizza, and immediately disliked the cornmeal crust. It tasted to me like it was made from Jiffy corn muffin mix, with a cardboard-like hardness. My wife disliked it so much she barely ate one small piece of pizza. I liked their cheese and sauce, and especially liked the sausage. I managed to eat two pieces thinking I'll give it a chance, but hated that crust so much I couldn't eat a third piece. There are plenty of other items on their menu other than pizza, which are the only things we will consider for any future visit. The dining room is large with a dark, traditional wood decor. Parking is free in their own lot. Having no table service, other than cleaning tables, logically results in a tip and cost savings. Now that I know this is how Barnaby's operates, I am not down-voting them based on service.
