Ordered a large thin pizza for delivery and it came in about an hour sausage with mushrooms it was pretty tasty and got here in about an hour sausage mushroom was pretty tasty I maybe a bit bland. Cheese had a nice pull crust was ok my first time ordering from Pieros. I guess they are more known for deep dish. My thin crust was decent. Not sure if I'd order again. When we have Lou Malnatia deep dish around I'd prefer Lou's pizza to just about any other deep dish pieros sauce was ok but kinda bland as was the crust. And sausage they chop up the mushrooms but they were fresh not canned which was a plus. Having worked in many pizza restaurants I do prefer fresh vegetables and not canned mushrooms so that was a plus. Decent cheese and sausage was pretty good. And Fairly plentiful it looked good tasted ok. Overall a decent pizza. I just moved to the area. My cousin who lives close to here said the pizza was only ok and he was correct only ok. Worth a try I guess. Large thin 2 topping was around $35. So reasonable price for a decent thin pizza. Worth a try if you're hungry. Way better than than a chain id am say. 8/10 probably. We love Piero's pizza. Their Thin crust is right up there with Lou's deep dish. That's saying a lot. But l'm a bit perplexed. After casually eyeballing our receipt, I saw the one topping, onions - our favorite, was an additional $3.06. I mentioned this to my lovely bride when I got nome, "How much does an onion run?" I asked. She recalled a nice Vidalia onion running about $.80 cents at Sunset Foods in Highland Park. What, I wondered, did Piero's add to thier onions to drive the value to $3.06? Whatever that might be clearly contributes to the sumptuous flavor of thier Zah! It also occurred to me, there we're never quite enough onions. Piero's is a store front and boats one table and two chairs. It's sort of romantic. But mostly a take-out or delivery set-up Now we order a naked large crust pizza. See what's coming? I slice up a Vadalia adding the exact amount of onion desired, shoot that puppy in the oven for another 5 -7... and it's to die for! Do try Perio's BBQ (sauce is scrumptious) chicken sandwich served on a soft & chewy roll. Their deep dish is excellent as I mentioned above. Last night we ordered pieros pizza. We ordered thin crust cheese pizza and a pan style sausage. When I called it in the guy in the phone was very nice and helpful. My daughter and I had the cheese pizza. It was overall a good pizza. I pulled the cheese off while my daughter ate just the cheese. The sauce is tasty. Overall, I prefer a crispier crust so maybe next time I will get the super thin crust. While we didn't go to the restaurant, my husband said it was busy and we'll run. read more

It is a bit outside the city but if people are in the area Piero's is a must try!!! I've been a customer for many many years now and I can testify for their quality in food and yumminess!! We have been happy Piero's customers for many years! They have a variety of pizza styles - deep dish, thin, spessa - and lots of toppings to choose form. I'm a canadian bacon and pineapple girl. Recently we have branched out and we've been stuck at home and we've tried their pasta and salads. Their greek salad is wonderful - we add gorgonzola cheese and anchovies on the side to it, and a large salad serves several people. My children love their fettuccine alfredo. Last night everyone decided that they wanted fettuccine, so we ordered a family size serving - this is a fantastic deal! For $32 we received a half steam pan of fettuccine alfredo. My only complaint is that they didn't give us bread with it like they do when you order a single serving, and it was fairly dry - they were stingy with the sauce and the amount of pasta they gave us soaked it all up. Next time we order family size I'm going to ask if they can put the sauce in a container, or I'll order extra sauce. Tonight I will have to make my own sauce because we have a large amount of past left that I don't want to waste. read more

Did you know this is singer Richard Marx's favorite pizza place. Yes, he's from the area and yes, he recommends it, I saw it online. I'm sure he'd even tell you if you asked on Twitter. REGARDLESS, I also highly recommend Piero"s. It always arrives quickly, it's always great, and unlike some other chain pizza places, they ever forget the dipping sauce for the wings. On to the food. I've had every type of pizza they make here, so that's the Extra Thin (thin and crispy!), the Thin (good standard Chicago pizza cut into squares and a little chewier than the Extra Thin), the Spessa (fluffy with a nice bready texture), Pan (maybe my favorite - we always pepperoni, sausage and black olives - but I'd like them to cook the pepperoni on top of the sauce just to make em crispy. I asked them to do it once and it was perfect!), the Stuffed (also great. Get spinach and mushrooms if you're on a healthfood kick!) That's five kinds of pizza in one shop! Plus they do calzones! Their sauce is awesome. It's not too mild like some local places, but it also doesn't overwhelm the flavor of the cheese and toppings. I think the term is zesty. It's a "zesty" sauce. They also make great wings there; lots of meat on them and the sauce is just right. We've also had their calzones, and I'd recommend them as well. This is a north shore staple. Love the pizza here. Thin (tavern style) or their deep dish are always great. Salads are plentiful and dressings are good too. They serve them carefully to make sure they arrive (or when picked up) stay safe and temperature correct. First, I am surprised that I have yet to review Piero's Pizza as I have eaten there several times over the last few months. There are so many great pizza options to choose from in Chicagoland and I am happy to report that Piero's is another excellent option. I have ordered from them several times already and it's been great every time. I haven't had them deliver yet as I usually just go to pick it up. I will start this with I love their salads. I have had the Chef's Chopped and Chopped Antipasto salad and both were excellent. It also definitely feeds four people real easily. I am also a big fan of their Spessa Pizza which is a focaccia style crust. It's definitely a more unique take on pizza crust and I have enjoyed it every time that I have gotten it. Overall, pizza's have always been ready on time for pickup and it's a great option for take out or delivery. I will be back again. read more

Stupid's on the menu here. Every time I order salad to go they never put any plastic cutlery or napkin in. Literally 20x. Finally I mentioned when eating salad there's a quaint custom of spearing the greens with a fork. The cashier replied they don't give them because most people own those themselves O_o while I appreciated and was impressed his cultural update I had to say many people getting to go items are in fact bringing them to work or the park, beach, travel etc and every restaurant I've ever been to, including lowest end of McDonalds, furnishes disposable cutlery therefore it is necessary and expected. He didn't agree. Monday I got a pizza to go and tonight returned for take out dinner and the teen cashier wouldn't let me use a $1 coupon since I'm "not a returning customer". I obviously am as seen by the uploaded pics and previous review also it's just a fucking dollar. Terrible customer service. So I didn't purchase. I work retail so these shortsighted & frankly stingy decisions baffle me. (And actually there's laws about coupons covered by a state commission so if the coupon doesn't state on it "returning customers only" they do in fact have to honor it, I digress). Everyone I go past there's a help wanted sign in the window I can only wonder if it's why such dreck guest service occurs and inane reasoning thrives. Why lord... isn't there a place like this in Los Angeles where I actually live?! I was in Highland Park visiting my cousin and asked to go into the city for the best Chicago deep dish has to offer. He says to me, "why go downtown when we have the best right here. Piero's"! I thought he was joshing me and being lazy but I was starving so we ordered a bunch of pizzas for our families from Piero's. This was hands down the best deep dish I've ever eaten. This meal was a while ago but I took photos just to look back with fond memories of even the pizza box itself. The pizza ingredients were fresh and vibrant. Crust was perfect. Fact is, I can't even explain it, I just know how I feel all this time later. I'm almost afraid to get this pizza again when I go back to Highland Park because I've blown it up in my mind even more. My cousin bet me that I couldn't eat half of large because it's so deep and thick. I did it. Yes, I thought I ruptured something and I don't recommend eating pizza until you're stomach distends but I have a real commitment to overeating pizza. Headline - Amazing deep dish and cheese garlic bread. Get your order size right.... It's filling! Daughter and I in town to pick up a car, arrived at hotel late, but Piero's would still deliver. The two of us had no business ordering a med deep dish - I should have know better, even if we were ravenous. Crust, sauce, toppings - all excellent. Always worry about how it would be delivered in the box, but they covered the pizza with a film wrap and had it on a special type of cardboard. It was great, for both dinner and breakfast! Don't forget to ask for utensils when you order- you will need a fork and knife! read more

From everyone I asked, Piero's Highland Park is known for their deep dish pizza. I had their deep dish pizza on two occasions, and I thought they were pretty good (though not quite great). I think their crust was decent, and they were generous with the toppings (fillings?), but I wasn't as keen on their sauce and cheese. By no means was it bad - I'd say they were 4-star deep dish pizzas, which would be superstars in many other neighborhoods... However, Piero's isn't far away from Giardano's (who has a 4.5 star deep dish) and Lou Malnati's (5 stars all day long), which sort of kills the grading curve for everyone else. But, in fairness; pizza is pretty subjective, so definitely give their deep dish a chance. What surprised me is how good their less-heralded thin crust was. There are a LOT of options for thin crust pizza in the area, and Piero's is somewhere in my top 5. It's not my favorite thin crust, but it's a close #5 or #4 against some truly epic competition. I now want to try their Spessa and pan pizzas, and I still haven't had their pastas either - they sound quite delicious as well. read more
