Came in for thin crust and was waited in by A highly efficient girl by the name of Alex. Excellent customer service she might be the owner of the way she runs this place very happy very fast really a nice girl, I ordered an ice tea and lemonade I know I ordered tea but it tasted a little strong so she graciously swapped out my drink and asked me what was wrong with it so they could improve it. I had the pizza thin crust I think it was Alforno supreme it had fresh peppers onions then we sliced tomato sauce sausage pepperoni and we had a fresh garlic. Very very fresh vegetables. It was a little salty for me when I come back I would just because the service was excellent and I like to try other things on the menu we got here at about 11 and this place gets really busy so I'm assuming everyone in the area really enjoys this place give it a try.

outstanding pizza!

THIS IS A CLASSIC PIZZA PLACE. From the pizza, sandwiches all the way to the cups the soda come in. Try the Chicago Beef as well. I'm picky on bread and sandwiches coming from the east coast and their beef sandwich is incredible

Ordered a veggie thin crust and it wasn't fully cooked. The middle was pretty much inedible. It was very doughy. The outside pieces were cooked more and it was ok. Will try again and but will call and order a smaller size and well done (no option online to order well done pizzas) and re-review.

Chicken Parmesan is excellent.

They have pull fire shares on the eastern window which help with her heat however whoever is facing the window will still get blinded by the sunlight that does make out through the shades so sit appropriately! My dish was the Italian Cobb, it was very tasty with enriching you expect in a Cobb - Mixed greens, bacon, avocado, tomato, hard-boiled egg, cucumber, roasted red peppers, olives (mostly green and a few too many!), gorgonzola cheese, and red onion. I asked for the balsamic vinaigrette on the side and it was nicely balanced with sweet vinegar, garlic and olive oil. My better half got a small thin crust sausage and pepperoni pizza and the crust was nice and crispy but not as thing as D'Agostino's. The other couples ordered the Monday 1/2 price cheeseburger, the chicken salad, the soup & salad combo and a veggie pizza. The veggie pizza was quite tasteless...it needed a stronger cheese and/or more flavorful tomato sauce. They have a nice sounding happy hour 3-6 weekdays so I think we will return for that.

When I arrived around 9:00 PM, I was told the kitchen was already closed and that I had to leave. How does a restaurant "close at 10" but stop serving food an hour earlier? The entire purpose of going to a restaurant is to order food. If your kitchen closes at 9:00 PM, then be honest and advertise that your kitchen closes at 9:00 PM--not that the restaurant closes at 10:00 PM. I wasted my time walking here only to be turned away because of a policy that makes no sense to customers. It's misleading, frustrating, and a terrible way to treat people who came expecting to dine based on the hours you advertise. If you don't want to serve customers during your posted business hours, then change your hours. Otherwise, honor the closing time you advertise. This experience was beyond disappointing, and I won't be back.

4 stars! This place…read morehad delicious Chicago Tavern Pizza and some old school sodas which were all great. When you step into it you feel like you stepped into some time warp into the 1970's and like a real life Homer Simpson bar like Moe's Tavern but in real life which kinda makes it even more cool. I would have loved some local Chicago beers on draft or local Chicago beers at all like Old Style and was pretty bummed they didn't have Old Style at all? Had they did I would have given it a 5/5. Price was good and we got a ton of food, will be back for sure!

I ordered and paid for two small pizzas at the counter, and learned I had to go to bar for drinks. The same cashier came over to take my drink order, where I paid separately. In about 15 minutes, our pizzas were ready at the counter: One with only cheese, and the other with sausage. We immediately noticed the ruffled-edge crust, which looked more like a pie for dessert. We both took a bite of each pizza, and immediately disliked the cornmeal crust. It tasted to me like it was made from Jiffy corn muffin mix, with a cardboard-like hardness. My wife disliked it so much she barely ate one small piece of pizza. I liked their cheese and sauce, and especially liked the sausage. I managed to eat two pieces thinking I'll give it a chance, but hated that crust so much I couldn't eat a third piece. There are plenty of other items on their menu other than pizza, which are the only things we will consider for any future visit. The dining room is large with a dark, traditional wood decor. Parking is free in their own lot. Having no table service, other than cleaning tables, logically results in a tip and cost savings. Now that I know this is how Barnaby's operates, I am not down-voting them based on service.

I mean, we're still eating leftovers because they're so good, we don't want them to be gone. Even the bread they gave us had a super crisp crust and soft, moist crumb. Something changed over the past year with the quality of the food. I catered some pasta and tiramisu for a grad party. I asked that the pasta not be overcooked and they offered to cut the tiramisu into slices decorated with strawberries. Unfortunately the pasta was way over cooked and the dessert was not precut as promised which had me scrambling at a 100 person party. I called to give feedback with minimal response. I also catered from Grill House for that party that brought a cheesy shell dish that was cooked perfectly and held up well. I ended up throwing out the pasta from Italian kitchen as it was way overdone and no one even took it to go. Please return to your previous quality and service.

He did find a table and during the course of our meal there were non-stop arrivals with a few heading straight to the small bar so I'm thinking perhaps it has a strong flow of regular customers. The service was efficient and the dining room has a cozy bistro feel to it. The menu is seasonal. Nothing was calling out to me so I went with the burger and fries. Both were good. We arrived very early at a random time, probably right after opening. Everyone was so nice and service was great. The table started with the cornbread, moist and warm. Not as sweet as I personally like (I can't help it I'm southern) but delicious nonetheless. The eggplant hummus wasn't that great to me, loved the bread it came with but I think I would prefer typical chickpea hummus instead. Brussels were so good, probably the favorite thing I tried. For my entree I had a kale salad with added salmon. I liked the crunch and the light vinaigrette. My husband had the seafood risotto which was slightly undercooked. All and all a positive experience and I'd definitely go back if I was in the area.
