We had such a wonderful dine-in experience at Piesanos! We typically order takeout and enjoy it at home, but this time we decided to dine in and were so glad we did. Our server was incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially considering we arrived about an hour before closing. We never felt rushed and received excellent service throughout our meal. We started with the fresh garlic knots, which are a family favorite and something we look forward to every visit. They were warm and absolutely delicious as always. For dinner, we enjoyed a classic cheese pie and the blackened chicken pasta...both were outstanding! The pasta was packed with flavor, and the pizza was everything you want from a great pie. It was slow for a Sunday afternoon only 3 tables including mine. The pizza was good came out piping hot and you can taste the quality of the product. The chicken parm on the other hand the chicken was dry and hard not sure if I would get that one again. WOW!! Just WOW!! Came to Disney World for my fiancé's birthday and we were wondering where should we eat and wandered upon this place.. Let me just say we made the right choice..From the food to the Service to the ambience even the 15 minute wait didn't damper our spirits.. Short on staff, Tristan helped us and was amazing. We had an Italian margarita and a chocolate martini to start with along with pepperoni rolls that were to die for... Finshed off the night with a meat eater pizza that we couldn't eat completely so we took two slices home.. Highly recommend if you're ever in the area.. I love this spot. I've been coming with friends for a while now and it has had quite a few wide swings. The device is always friendly and the food is always good. The decor is not super creative. Mainly a local tavern feel with some Italian flair. I had my fave, Eggplant Parmesan & a Ceasar Salad and the hubs had the Pasta Arrabbiata & the Garden Salad. Both were so, so good. The eggplant was a healthy portion so I was able to score leftovers. It wasn't too greasy and it was seasoned just right. The pasta was SO spicey. It was delectable! We also had a smaller amount left over of that. The only not so great food was the spaghetti side that came with my parm. It was pretty blah. Plus I really do not care for watered down pasta sauce. First time coming to this location. Pizzas were delicious! We had the eatra large pizza for 4 people and a special personal size pizza for one. The manager and server were great and so friendly. One of us had a dairy allergy and brought his own cheese. The manager offered to put them on the pizza for us - so appreciative of this. They serve these soft bread rolls in a vinigrette that is so yummy. Could fill up on these! We ordered the piza antico - thin crust pizza with lots of pepperoni! The crust was perfect with a nice crunch yet still soft and doughy - very Napolitano We were seated on a relatively quite area close to the kitchen. This place is definitely on my top spots for pizza and Italian food. The stone fire crust has a great crisp on the outside while staying soft on the inside. I tried the meat eater calzone, one of the best I've ever had, loaded with meat and cheese, very flavorful. My wife ordered the chicken piccata and my son ordered the chicken Marsala and both were terrific. There's a great selection of pastas,salads and even desserts. I've only ordered Togo from here a couple times. The employees have all been super nice. And the time it took to make my food wasn't too long. However, I think the food lacks flavor. I've gotten pizzas and pastas, garlic sticks and their piesanos buns. The pizza is okay but not fantastic. The garlic sticks don't taste like garlic and the piesanos are interesting bc they put Italian dressing on them. Idk. I'm just not super impressed with this place. Now, for appetizers - don't skip the pepperoni rolls. They're the closest I can get to my Pennsylvania roots of pepperoni balls, and they're delicious! Caprese is a good choice as well. My two favorite pizzas are definitely the old-fashioned and the Napoletana. The old-fashioned is thin, has the perfect amount of spices and fresh ingredients, and feels simple but classic. We were actually blown away! Our server, Ashley, was truly incredible and she made everything perfect. She really went above and beyond for everything and was genuinely nice and sweet. FIRST TIME & LAST TIME. THE GOOD The service was EXCELLENT. Ana was super-sweet. What a GREAT personality! VERY well done on her end. She didn't miss a single thing we asked for. Also, the rolls were fairly good (plain ones...not the disgusting ones swimming in a mixture of garlic, oil and Italian dressing - send those away). BAD (EVERYTHING else) :-( Previously Served Salad: A runner brought our salad to another table, put it down and had a whole discussion about how they didn't order a salad. Then, took it back past us...eventually bringing it back and putting it on our table. GROSS - even by pre-pandemic standards. Once it's served, you don't bring it to another customer! The customer was just coughing before the salad was brought to that table too! Dirty Plates: The empty plates had food remnants on them. Restroom: My wife went to the ladies room. NO SOAP!!!! So, even the women on staff haven't been washing their hands properly!?! Chicken Parm: The chicken parmesan with pasta was fast-food quality. It reminded us of a California chain called Presto Pasta. At $11, it would be fine..but not at $19! Also, skimped on the pasta (the cheapest food item there!) The sauce not only seemed oddly dark, but smelled weird too. Pizza: BBQ chicken pizza may have been ok if the chicken on it wren't overly large pieces of what seemed like some kind of roast chicken with seasoning that you might get at Boston Market. It had NO place on this pizza. I love bbq chicken pizza made right...but went back to the rolls after being kinda grossed out by the huge chicken cubes. Bottom Lines: So, $54 for extremely mediocre medium pizza, chicken parm and the side salad + tip. We were looking forward to just a nice, stress-free night out and came home VERY disappointed. We've ordered from here a couple times now for delivery. We tried a few things but by far my favorite is their chicken Marsala. The flavor is very good, the sauce is a bit different as it is creamy, but it's delicious! I've learned to ask for some extra sauce as there's been a few times where it had almost no sauce. I don't know if it is because we've gotten it as delivery or if it is the same in person, but my only complaint is that sometimes the portion can vary. It's been a while since we dined here and it was good as we remembered. It was lunchtime on the weekend and they had just opened so it was nice and calm. We have been for dinner a few times and it's always very busy. We where seated right away and asked what we wanted to drink. I decided to give their pizza a try. I know it's a pizza place how could I have not had the pizza. We have always ordered pasta dishes. I ordered the lunch individual pizza with fresh basil and mushrooms. I wish there was a bit more basil as I didn't taste it very much. I saw it so I know it was there it was just on sparingly. Mushrooms where nice and thin which was perfect. It was cooked perfectly had that little crunch I love. My mom had the Italian salad (looked like an antipasti salad to me). It was a large portion. She enjoyed it. My boys both ordered the penne pasta from the children's menu. Perfect portion. My one son also ordered a side salad. It was large for a side salad. They both ate all their food. All the servers checked on us not just our own. I almost forgot as always they brought out their yummy rolls before the food arrived. My mom and boys inhaled them. Excellent experience this evening at this Piesanos Restaurant. Food was excellent and timely. They were quite busy and were able to seat our party of 7 within 20 minutes on a Friday evening at 6:30 without a reservation. Waiters were quick and friendly. I am always sad to share when there aren't any redeemable qualities about a restaurant experience. Whether that be through a third party delivery service or an in-house experience, it should be management's intention to uphold good customer service, even if the food is lacking. I ordered Piesanos' today through UberEats, only to wait an exceptionally long time for cold and improperly prepared food. The timing is likely nothing to do with the restaurant, however, the food's quality should not have been so incredibly poor. Items ordered: - Meat Eaters Pizza - Side of Fries - Cheesesteak - 2 Sweet Teas - 1 Unsweetened Tea - Garlic Bread The pizza was nothing to write home about but was sufficient. Despite leaving detailed notes, the cheesesteak ordered was unevenly charred and crunchy--there was nothing even remotely satisfying about this sandwich. It was requested American cheese be added to the sandwich and the saddest excuse for an execution was provided (please see photos). The meat was burnt as was the cheese and the bread. This had to be obvious upon assembly. A positive on the sandwich was the full flavor notes between the burnt cheese and meat. The additional order of fries was void of flavor and soggy upon arrival. Even with a long wait, there was no reason for these potatoes to have taken on as much moisture as they had. The drinks were not labeled and 2/3 were missing. This would be easy to blame on the driver, however, I am inclined to believe it was likely an in-restaurant concern. The garlic bread had a good flavor but was also soggy, which made for a chewy experience. I think the worst part of the experience was the interaction with the restaurant post-delivery. The manager was quick to acknowledge mistakes had been made but left the solution to the customer, knowing he had zero intentions of actually making the situation right. A credit was offered to be used for an in-store purchase, as delivery would only be accepted through third-party apps...unless a catering order was placed. Though it was identified the issue was with the restaurant and not with the delivery service. Management insisted there was nothing they could do and gave pregnant pauses in an attempt for me to find the solution. I encouraged the manager to reach out to UberEats, which was a missed opportunity considering the issue. Immaterial to all food flops, I would absolutely never suggest this restaurant to any patron. Management and service alone are enough to completely deter me from visiting or ordering again. I generally try to find positives within every interaction and food experience as things happen and almost any issue can be corrected. In this instance, a solution was not the intention of management with full acknowledgement the establishment was at fault. Offering an in-house credit to patrons on a quick stop through a location, when they purposefully paid for delivery is not a sufficient response nor is it good customer service. read more
