I'll start saying the the entrance needs to be more inviting, if not for a board that said We are Open, I would have thought is was not. Once inside, the host super nice and sweet. Very elegant and nice ambience and decor, our waitress, Luana, super nice, excellent all they way. As for the food, we had the regular all you can eat option, we were going to go a la carte, but makes no sense since prices are a bit on the higher end. Rolls are good and have a Brazilian touch, they were good, but would have loved to see more traditional options. Ordered the nigiri and sashimi, and omg, that changed the experience, fresh, very good quality, FANTASTIC! And do try to leave space for the fried banana with Nutella. Overall, very good experience, won't give it 5 stars because I believe it needs some traditional rolls. read more

From outside of the restaurant, it looks like it's permanently closed. I've always been hesitant to go and try it because of this... today I saw someone come out so I knew it was safe. lol. The waitress was really nice, but she immediately started speaking Portuguese to me... which I do not speak. I understand that there are a lot of Portuguese speakers in the area, but you shouldn't automatically assume that everyone does. I also had 3 different waiters come by and continue asking me if I was fine or needed to order anything else, even though I had already told my original waitress I was done... just felt a bit pushy. What a transformation this place has undergone since it was a cheese sandwich place! Gorgeous interior and excellent lighting. The menu offers both a la carte and all-you-can-eat dining. Since the items are pretty much the same, if you're going to have more than two items, you're better off with all-you-can-eat. The lunchtime price was $35 which, considering you can order pretty much anything, seems fair. Most of the dishes we ordered came out quickly, even as they got busy, and we could order as many as we liked. Fish quality of the sashimi was excellent, and was my favorite thing. Despite the extensive menu, there is a sameness to a lot of the items. They particularly like cream cheese. If you prefer cooked items, there are a lot of choices, both as rolls and appetizers. Overall I found it to be good if not at the very top level of local sushi, although with some tweaks I think it could be, particularly given the lovely interior design. read more

I visited kingdom sushi on a Monday for lunch one day. The place looks awesome inside, with a nice little private room as well as a small bar. I love what they did with the space. We were seated immediately and given menus. I think that this is where my first surprise came in; I didn't realize that this place was Brazilian fusion sushi, and I feel that it could've been better advertised. The menu had way more cream cheese than I'm used to, and I found that I really wasn't the target audience. As for the food, I ended up ordering a basic roll and sashimi platter. The presentation of both were beautiful, but I found my sashimi to be cut in an odd way I hadn't seen before. I also found myself wishing that it was colder. I also felt the prices were a little steep for the food. The service here was fine, but they made a big push for Google reviews at the end, which was slightly off putting. I asked if they cared about Yelp and they said only Google ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but here I am anyway. I can't say I'd go back just because I don't feel that I'm the target audience. read more

The way the all you can eat sushi works is you can order for a set price, a variety of cold and hot sushi, but for several dollars more, you can order more hot sushi and unlimited dessert. This time my family and I chose eating A La Carte to be able and appreciate the other food items within the menu. The girlfriend & I started off with drinks, then onto appetizers, entrees, and lastly dessert. Kingdom Sushi takes Japanese Cuisine and throws a Brazilian spin to it. It really brings both cultures together and the food comes out banging. Service was amazing and was always readily available for anything that we wanted and needed. Had to ask for chopsticks and napkins. Talk to five different people at different times to try to get our spring rolls and one person we asked twice. Waited for our napkins in spring rolls.. They didn't have our usual volcano role that we like to get and looked at us like we were aliens when we asked for it. Closest thing you can get is fried. The portions are very small. Definitely not worth what you pay for. We eat sushi a lot in this place was super crowded. We sat at the sushi bar, and it reminded me of the great sushi chef conversations we had with our first love of sushi chefs in San Diego between 1999 and 2005. Horrible!!!!!!! I went on Valentine's Day to celebrate my son's birthday with a reservation I had made the day before. When we arrived, I was directed to the bar -- yes, me and my two children -- to sit at the bar to celebrate his birthday. Seriously? After I refused, the attendant asked me to wait and I believe she spoke with the manager. She came back in about 2 minutes saying she couldn't do anything. I asked to speak with the manager, who tried to convince me without success and asked if I would accept sitting outside -- I said yes. I waited about 10 minutes until he finally got us a table, even though I had a reservation -- meaning I shouldn't have gone through any of this. The waitress came and we ate. We ordered 3 regular rodízios -- me and two kids (11 and 16). We had 2 juices and one draft beer. The bill came to $187 with a mandatory 20% tip. People, this is absurd!!!!! No place charges mandatory tips -- I don't even know if that's legal, even after living here 25 years. The issue isn't giving tips -- I always contribute -- it's fair when there's good service. But forcing it? I don't agree! And my son's birthday? Nothing. No small cake, no candle, nothing!!!!! This is BY FAR the best sushi in the Orlando area. Either this location or the orlando location will not disappoint. Everything is super fresh, service is always great and the food is amazing. If you can, sit at the bar and you will have a blast chatting with the sushi mans while they service you some fresh treats not on the menu. Came here with my fiancee last week and it was mediocre at best. The sushi was decent, but as other reviews on here mention, not nearly worth the price. Service seemed to only be there to run up our bill. We both ordered waters and they brought out two bottles that they charged us $7 for. The space was also way too tight. It was hard not to bump into other tables on the way in and out and we were less than an arms length to the table next to us. I got the all you can eat and the food was pretty good, however the wait times are unacceptable. We arrived, they took our order and then took like 35 minutes for our first order of sushi to arrive. After we finished we had to wait another 25 before they noticed that we were done, took our order, and we had to wait another 40 minutes for our food to arrive. We were in the restaurant for like 2 hours and most of that was just waiting for the waiters to bring our food. And most of the time we didn't even get everything we ordered! Every time the waiters came back we had to tell them we were missing food items and they would just ring up the order again. I will never come back here until they fix their wait time problem or they find a way to keep track of what you order. All of this made the experience pretty miserable. read more

I wanted to love this place and was annoying my husband to go for a few weeks. The all you can eat concept was good, but the menu seemed just variations of salmon and cream cheese. This is right in our backyard and was hoping we'd have a new sushi spot but I think this will probably be one and done for us. $38 per adult wasn't too bad for an all you can eat concept. I was nervous because I read reviews that the wait time between reorders was long but that was totally not the case. Our server Ramon was prompt and efficient and checked in multiple times if we wanted to reorder more. The restaurant was pretty packed with only a few two tops still open the entire time we were there. They forgot my husband's coke and my tea towards the end but I'd say the service was primarily excellent. The vibe was upscale ish which is a change of pace for the other long standing restaurants in that plaza (gators and flippers). Everything we were served was fresh, I'm just really hung up on the too much cream cheese and salmon thing. We'd definitely try it again if they switch up their menu a bit. read more
