Taking my chances in a jet train, pool voew

Got to the hard rock a little after 9pm and came straight here for a drink after checking in. Live music inside was great but a little too loud for what we wanted. Outside seating was comfy, quieter and easy to find lounge seating. Variety of fun cocktails to choose from. Can't go wrong with any. All You Criminals: a classic old fashioned, did the job Took My Chances on a big Big Jet Plane: a sweet whisky drink, just how I like them. 10/10 for someone who normally get tequila. Citrus Kiss: 10/10. Big fan of the sugar rim. Whitney our server was friendly, engaging and good banter. Would come back here for the chill vibes and great atmosphere.

Velvet Bar is a perfect spot to grab a beverage and some light bites at the Hard Rock hotel. The drinks are always tasty and the staff is friendly every time. I've enjoyed some of the seasonal specialty drinks and the bar staff has always given spot-on reviews and recommendations about things to try. There is also live music on many nights; it can get a bit loud, but it's worth it after a long day at the theme park!

Off-lobby bar inside the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Orlando. Reasonably comfortable with good service and some banquettes for group seating. Live music (not too loud) performed some evenings. Nice cocktail menu with standard resort hotel prices (around $15). Thumbs up and would return.

Short and simple. Was drinking Buffalo Trace bourbon until I eye spied the bottle of Blanton's. Any establishment that has a bottle of Blanton's is a de facto 5 star establishment.

Found a nice spot to do some work at the outside bar. Power outlet available at the bar. Our servers gave exceptional service. Diego, Sandra and Brandy...the best! The trio checked on us often and made sure our glasses never went empty. We had the charcuterie board and a Caesar salad to snack on. Charcuterie board had great choices of cheese and meats. Delicious and great paring with my Daou Cabernet. Hubby had the Buffalo Trace old fashion. They know how to make a great old fashion. Definitely recommend coming here! Great music playing, incoming fresh breeze and superb service and food! What more can you ask.

Nice patio looking over the pool

I stopped here for a couple drinks while going to a show at Hard Rock Live. The bar itself is somewhat small, but they have a large outside patio that looks over the pool. Our server Avery was friendly and attentive, and offered us some snacks while we hung out and drank. The beer selection was pretty decent, and they had a full liquor bar. This is also a convenient way to visit Hard Rock Live without having to go through the main park entrance.

The fact that this looked so obviously charred and it was still served. The place seemed chill just don't get the food.

Cider and Burbon.. one is all you need!

Happy hour from 5 - 7pm for the win! I was waiting for a friend to pick me up for dinner so I headed to the par for a drink beforehand. The decor is super cool, definitely has the Rock and Roll vibe that you would expect. The coctail I had was delicious and the price was great. It was a Hard Cider with Burbon, the combination was surprisingly delicious and it was more than enough for the night. I thought it would come in a little coctail glass but it didn't. A pint for me! With it came a great little glass of snacks just for me. It was super early so the vibe was chill. I would have been just a tad more comfortable if there hadn't been so many employees just hanging around socializing. Otherwise it was perfect for watching videos, hanging out and people watching while my friend came so we could hit up Nile Ethiopian.

We stopped her to finished our night after catching a show at the hardrock live. The ambience is very nice. We sat at the bar. They had couches and tables and chairs. We sat at the bar that had TVs around. I had their espresso martini and hubby had his usual crown on the rocks! The bartender Brie was very nice. We would come back again.

Terribly disappointing. Pop rock martini? Tasted like cough syrup with 2 pop rocks on the rim. All the drinks were disgusting.

We went here for drinks while staying at the Hard Rock, and I was horribly disappointed. Having just had dinner at the Kitchen, I wished we had just stayed there for another round. I'm not sure how there could be such a disconnect. There were only three of us, and since it was only around 9 or so, we had no problem finding a nice couch area in front of TV (to watch the most random music videos ever!) the service was fine, but not amazing. At one point, the manager/bouncer someone came over and "reminded" us, that the bar area was for people aged 21 and over. We were all sitting silently looking at our phones, not sure what the issue was. Then I realized he was referencing me (I'm 3'9") We all looked at each other, then I caught on and laughed and said, "Thank you sir, but I'm going to be 30 next week." He was mortified, and muttered something about how he didn't know cause I was looking at my phone, but ok we all had waters soooo.... I half expected a free drink or something to be done to remedy the humiliating situation, but he just scurried away and nobody spoke of it again. Our drinks came and were VERY disappointing. One tasted like cough syrup (and was supposed to have a rim of pop rocks, but there were just one or two sadly floating in my pop rocks martini), the Flirtini tasted like perfume and the other two tasted like straight alcohol. Completely underwhelmed by the whole less than a rock star experience, we closed our tab and went back to our room. I was very disappointed as it did not align with the other amazing dining experiences we had at the Hard Rock hotel. Don't waste your time, save the money for a round by the pool, THOSE drinks are spot on.

Maybe we lucked out coming after July 4th and before Disney officially reopens but this place was a hit. A quiet night at the Hard Rock Hotel. The Topanga Canyon drink was solid and worth the money. Ken the bartender was great at mixing other drinks not on the menu and also a fun companion for a few hours. We got the BBQ chicken flatbread and the velvet sliders. Both were great, the sliders were some of the best I've ever had. Great flavor combination and a nice slight bit of heat from the tobasco onions. Prices are slightly higher being in universal property but overall everything was good. Thumbs up.

It is such a relaxing environment, think of this like a high end cocktail bar but for hookahs. Almost any flavor you could imagine, they have. I thought I understood the world of hookah until I came here. I left with a Masters in Hookology and I am hooked - no pun intended. The experience and service you receive here is second to none; have you ever been to a really nice restaurant where they know how to pair a nice wine to your dinner? Well they know how to pair a nice hookah with your hookah. Have you ever done hookah on hookah? I have, and it is an enlightening experience. I have found a new home to experiment with all the different flavors. Also, moving on to the food, the Plov, the napoleon cake, the Pepperoni Pizza, and the Khachipouri are things I have tried and have been blown away by. It's almost like the first time you use a bidet, mind blowing. And again, I'll bring up Hunter again, he makes you really love enjoying a hookah. Come with an open mind if you don't know what to get and trust in Hunter.

Once I stayed once and appreciated the midcentury design of the place I was hooked. And the Swizzle Lounge was definitely one of the perks. When I was running late, driving north after work from South Florida I had a 1st primary objective, make it in time to grab one martini at Swizzle. I was making ok time but when I got into the lobby I knew I only had 15 minutes to spare. And there was a long line to check in. When I finally checked in I only had minutes left. I walked up the busy evening bar with little to no hope. And yet one of the busy bartenders saw me and said they had last call already, but they would get me for one. Halleluiah. One martini later and I was ready to wander to our room. The Swizzle is retro, brightly lit, and especially friendly. Looking forward to stopping in again soon.

To whom it may concern,…read more The food was good but I am writing this review to highlight their above and beyond customer service that made a really bad day for my family a bit better. I had my 82 yr old father and 49 yr old Down's syndrome brother with me. My dad's mobility scooter ran out of power and there were no outlets to be found. I was pushing the scooter for an hour as my father struggled to walk with his cane when we reached the steps of the restaurant. The manager said she was more than willing to let us charge the scooter as we ate which was above and beyond what they needed to do. It went further. I discussed how bad of a day we were having and she brought us an appetizer and said she hoped that might help in leasing the bad day. Another employee helped my ailing father up some stairs and to the table. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. Instead of making us walk back to the front where the scooter was charging, another manager brought it to our table. I don't think they realized how much that meant to us and me. Both my dad and brother have challenges and I have to help a lot which I am willing to do but by Margaritaville and their staff giving me a small respite and helping us out, it meant the world to all three of us by helping out when they had 0 obligation to. Friendly staff and good food. Please give them a chance and I guarantee they will move heaven and earth to make your experience an amazing one! Ty! Forever grateful and thankful, Mark Harris

Yes, I know youa re paying theme park pricing but at least for that you typically get some sort of presentation. These were served in a plastic cup, that of which you would recive at a pool bar at an inexpensive resort. They looked nothing like the photo. And for "blended" drinks they were not mixed at all - like literally separated ingrediance. they are also filled so high the you can't pick it up without spilling it. And again we ordered blended so they were sticky. The server spolled some on the ground (whihc was sand) in bring them to us and I spilt on my self when trying to take a sip (because no straws were offered to us until we asked) The food comes out in to-go plates complete with lid so it's soggy to start from the enclosed container keep the heat and mister in. No presentation whatsoever - you can use a covering to shield food from the elements and bugs that is more interested and wont harm the food...this is not a new concept. Food was really bland and flavorless. I truly just do not have anything else to say about it. Just really forgettable. We were not impressed by anything and won't be back unless a visitor (we are newly local) wants to go here. And we will eat something prior to avoid ordering as much as possible.

I really wanted to like this place but it was a swing and a miss. Parking was easy during the Saturday afternoon we visited. On busier occasions, they do offer valet parking. Nearby businesses share parking so if it's a peak time, you may have to walk a little to the door. Not a long wait before we were seated. Spacious with tables and booth seating. There is a bar and televisions here. Our hostess was nice and offered insight into the menu. For the appetizers, we started with oysters Rockefeller, and fried gator tail. It's a red flag when places smother items in a sauce instead of letting it stand on it's own. No complaints on the oysters and the gator tail was given previously frozen vibes. For the entree, I got the shrimp po' boy. The bread was hearty and held onto the six lil shrimp that they felt were enough. When the ratio of shrimp, bread and topping aren't portioned right, you end up with gaps of the flavor when you're eating. What sent me is the shrimp weren't properly deveined. If you took a biology class, you know that black line running along the back is the shrimp's waste system. I'm not eating that. The hostess saw me just sitting there looking at my food and asked if I wanted something different. Hard pass. Even the waffle fries were bad. They weren't piping hot and dried out inside. I made due with the sweet tea which they did well with. The manager came by and offered to remake or replace my meal. I appreciate his efforts but I didn't want anything at that point. The bathrooms were clean. Nice enough people but the kitchen didn't get it right.
