Went for lunch and experienced a very sticky table. Ask to have it cleaned and was told it was just the finish. She cleaned it again and I saw the towel she used to dry it off and it was clean when she started but dirty when done. It was still dirty because I took my napkin and tub dirt off. Awesome place! This restaurant was recently purchased & gutted, and is BEAUTIFUL! Everything about the location is great. They have a huge patio with outdoor seating, and a large selection of seating inside. Great for groups! -- Additionally, the menu is fantastic! Lots of choices (including vegetarian ones) and the best part about this place is the service. The servers & bar tenders ROCK! Super knowledgeable and very attentive. And Dezii (the bar tender) is always on her game! A++. So glad this gem popped up in Montgomery! Can't wait to fly back to Chicago so I can visit it again! read more

Went with colleagues a few times for lunch. We loved the customizable burger and the place is clean with lots on TV in the bar area to watch. Only issue is, it took a longer time for the food to come out than what I am use to from other places. We went for the all-you-can eat fish fry last Friday at 6:30 p.m. Nobody was there to greet us for over 5 minutes so we took our own menus and took a table outside. After waving and trying to attract a server for 10 minutes, Mat came over to take our drink order. We had to wait 5 minutes for the 2 soft drinks and another 5 minutes for a can of beer. Mat took our order for 3 fish dinners and they arrived fairly quickly but when we ordered more, we were told that they were out of fish! So, I ordered another beer so we could decide but it took 6 minutes to get another can of beer and, for some reason, he brought more tartar sauce! Then, from somewhere, more fish arrived and Mat couldn't have been more apologetic and humble! He even accepted our Groupon which is only good for their Pub Food but felt very bad for our experience that night. I think that we will visit again but not on a Friday for the fish fry. Our family hasn't had anything on the menu here that we don't love. Great for lunch with family or to watch a game and later on with friends for dinner and drinks. The Thai Chili Brussel Sprouts will change how you feel about those little green cabbages forever! This was our third visit and my husband and I really enjoyed it. We sat out on the patio and it was a perfect summer evening. I had the special which was a southwest chicken wrap. This place was supposed to replace Elmers Dog House. They even have a wall hanging proclaiming that this was Elmers. The problem is Elmers was so much better. I came during Lent as this was a Lenten tradition as a child- Elmers as a fried fish destination. Elmers fried fish was way better! Better portions, not so greasy, rye bread, and they even had sit down arcade games back in the day (but I won't judge them on that last part). read more

Great cheese curds. Crystal the server was fun and attentive. Brought the wrong drink cause I changed my order last minute and was quick to make it right. Kids meal burger was smaller than reg menu. Perfect size and cheesy. Big bowl of fruit on the side. Hubs got fish fry and asked for it well done. Big pieces of cod perfectly cooked and the tots on the side were the bomb. My burger was great. Been to the restaurant twice now. Food is excellent and has a nice twist. I had the pork belly sandwich first time and liked the addition of the coleslaw on top! 2nd time got one of the specials in June blackened chicken risotto and it was very tasty. We stopped by tonight after a play at the Paramount in Aurora. My husband had been before but I hadn't been since the renovation and change of owners. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We ordered Grey Goose martinis. The server didn't have a lot of experience with martinis so the bartender came over to confirm how we wanted them. They were perfect! We had hoped for fish & chips but it wasn't on the menu, fish is the Friday special. There is a placard on the table showing the weekly specials. It showed that 1/2 slab of ribs was the Saturday special, however, when we tried to order them the server said that they haven't had ribs for a long time and that she wished that they'd take them off the placard. (Someone can't take a Sharpie and cross them out?) So we opted for Adult grilled cheese, soup of the day (cream of mushroom) and a basket of fries. After about 5 minutes the server came back and said that they were out of soup. There was NO soup of any kind. She felt really bad about it. At this point we decided to just leave. We asked for our check and paid for our drinks. She was very apologetic and we reassured her that it wasn't her fault. All in all I'm not sure that I'd be in a hurry to go back after tonight's experience. They've done a great job in remodeling,the place is beautiful, and the staff/service was good but I really wanted to try the food. read more

excellent food. my date had the burger basket -- the burger was light as air and delicious. i had the 3 Little Pig Dogs, which was easily one of the best sandwiches i've ever had. the wings were also delicious. everything came out hot and in a timely fashion. the tap menu isn't huge, but there's something for everyone. there's a substantial menu of bottles, whiskeys, and whatnot. no doubt you'll find something to your taste. the service was excellent. when we hit a minor snag with the app coming out behind the entrees, both our waitress and the manager were extremely solicitous and made sure that we were looked after. the location is lovely and vastly improved over the previous tenant's decor. the Fox River is just across the road, and you can feel the breeze from it when they've got the windows open. being on Rte. 25 between Geneva and Batavia, it's settled along one of the nicest stretches of road for riding in this area -- definitely a biker-friendly place. read more

Absolutely LOVED everything about this establishment! To start with Amber was one of the friendliest bartenders I have encountered. She gave us the background on the establishment, how it got its name, how long they have been there, where they get their drinks from, etc. Always smiling & extremely pleasant. It seems they do a lot of events that help fundraise. I loved that proceeds went to vets & local animal shelters. It is across from the river & the patio is super nice. She advised us that dogs are allowed on the patio so next time, we are bringing the pups. The food was excellent & drinks of course ! This is going to become out hangout. read more

I drive past this place almost every day and I happen to know one of the bartenders. I decided to stop in on a Friday. It was busy and pretty loud. The drink options were good and the cheese curds were good as well. I have not actually tried the burgers, hot dogs or the chicken dishes on the small menu but looking around, it looked like people were enjoying their meals. I like the feel and the service so I will be returning soon to try the food. read more

I think this place will do really well and stick around for a long time. They have a diverse beer list and a cool cocktail menu. The cheese curds are a great starter, and The Pig Dog sandwich is a winner. The burger was also delicious - great quality meat and perfectly cooked at medium rare. Went with a family of 5 and most had the burgers- they were great! The fries were truly fresh cut and excellent, the burgers ($10) for burger and fries was reasonable, were good sized and delicious. Homemade patties and juicy! I was stuffed after the meal and I am not a tiny fellow. I highly recommend the comfort food of the Piggy. My son, who is rather picky at 14, had the mac-N-cheese and it was creamy and real cheese (not Kraft) so that was also a good meal. read more
