As soon as we walked in, we were greeted so warmly The staff made us feel right at home. Our waiter was amazing and funny, which made the whole experience even better. His recommendation for the pork ribs was spot on ! they were absolutely delicious! The Chinese broccoli was also very good, perfectly cooked and flavorful. I also tried the pork dumplings, which were just okay...pretty average compared to others I've had ! Everything else made up for it. Overall, great service, tasty food, and a really welcoming vibe. I'll definitely be back!

10/8/25 We were in the neighborhood for an appointment and decided to stop for lunch. BBQ Ribs are delicious, most Chinese restaurant makes them but are usually tough but these were tender and so flavorful. I wish they were near home hehehe. Peking Duck, while it was super crispy outside and tender inside it was not seasoned. Without the hoisin sauce it would have been a waste of money... Bok Choy with Garlic is delicious, I wish I could make it this good hehehe. If we are ever in the area we would definitely go back. Lots of pig related decorations, cute! hehehe

Had a craving for Chinese BBQ spareribs so I ordered takeout from this restaurant that I have dined in before and I was very happy that I did, the red glazed meat was delicious just about ready to come off the bone. Also ordered chicken with string beans and the chicken was cut in strips and stir fried for a natural texture rather than the silky texture that some restaurants go for which was nice. Also ordered steamed Sea Bass. It was an epic weekend dinner!

Always so good! Great service! Delish food!

Always so good! Great service! Delish food! Chinese Broccoli and pork ribs are our go to faves! We also love the soup dumplings! Happiness is wrapped in dough and filled with savory broth

This restaurant feels very homey. Cozy. It reminds me of a sit down Chinese spot in Park Slope I loved as a child that is no more. The chicken broccoli was amazing. The broccoli was cooked exactly how I like it and the chicken had perfect flavor. Unfortunately a good bit of the rice was hard. Possibly the rice from the corners of whatever it was cooked in that typically gets overcooked. The scallion pancakes were lovely!

Came during the day for lunch. Service was fast and super friendly. Was able to get seated right away. The string beans are out of this world, highly recommend them!

So my beloved, who is a Michelin Star trained chef who has mentored with Michel Guerard, Alain Senderens, Pierre Troisgros, Roger Verge, Anne Willan and Barbara Tropp decided to surprise me for for Valentine's Day. I mention this not to impress anybody, but rather to impress upon you that one can can tell a lot as my father would say, "that one can tell how good the cook is by the food they make." That in mind, I want to bring up the woman that my beloved trained with as a mentor, Barbara Tropp --- please look her up n Wikipedia that says that she is the one that introduced Asian cuisine to the Americas. Thus we ordered from this restaurant something that is really hard to make, which is a Chilean Seabass which is crispy and has its own sauce along with a Peking duck which also is difficult to make. And of course we ordered egg drop soup and I have to tell you when I saw how the egg drop soup was not full of yolk and yellow, I realized this place was truly authentic. The best way to describe this place is that my beloved echoed what her mentor would say of how Asian cuisine is so amazing and magnificent. So I leave you with this if you're looking for a place to get a fortune cookie at the end, this is NOT the place because the fortune is actually the meal itself.

BBQ Spare Ribs (S), Steamed Fish Fillet Bok Choy

A bit pricey (not an everyday meal), but I will say the ribs were pretty tasty. Piping hot, sticky, sweet, and flavorful. Didn't even need the sauces (mustard and sweet chili, I believe) offered. The bartender--I sat at the bar for a relaxed vibe--mentioned they have #1 ribs, so I gave the dish a go. I was also craving steamed fish with vegetables, so I ordered the fish fillet (flounder), which wasn't bad, just a bit salty with the soy sauce, so I did have to eat around the sauce and with rice. More or bigger bok choy would've made the dish better, as well. Overall, a nice treat.

Eh I was pretty disappointed with my meal this past weekend at pig heaven. I heard great things about the spare ribs and don't understand the hype at all. I was picturing fall off the bone ribs with a tasty sauce and I didn't get any of that. The meat was dry and most definitely not the worth the price. I also got the pig heaven chicken and was very throw off by the weird aluminum foil presentation and the mix of half onion half chicken in the dish. It was a glorified kung pao chicken. A very pricey restaurant for the low quality of food. I did enjoy the dumplings but the restaurant had weird vibes so I don't think I'd come back.

Good neighborhood spot for Chinese in UES Craving Chinese food in the UES? This place will scratch that itch. Their prices aren't actually too different from takeout places nearby even though this spot is an actual restaurant. They're supposedly really good for their ribs. As a Chinese person who had a craving for Beef Chow Fun and was far from Chinatown/Queens I opted to try it out here and it actually wasn't bad. Have come back more than a few times, and it def scratches the itch of authentic Chinese food though it is def UES prices; also the beef chow fun was better the second time around - so consistency maybe could use some work but I now think of this place if I'm wanting Chinese food in this neighborhood. Beef Chow Fun Chinese Broccoli - I got this once and it was the crunchier side, maybe could have been cooked a tad more Water Spinach w Garlic - love getting my vegetables this way, nice and garlicky.

The mapo tofu, green beans, twice cooked pork, and spicy (lazi) chicken were very flavorful. I thought the mala levels were just right, but it may be on a bit on the lighter side compared to authentic. They don't take online reservations for groups over 5, so we called to make one for our group of 6. It was pretty busy Friday night, so would recommend. I wish the sauce was sweeter though since the flavor was more j spicy/ salty. I think a different sauce like a hoisin chili combo would make the dish a lot tastier. They have a variety of sichuan dishes. I wasn't a huge fan of the swing pork belly since it's served cold and mostly tastes like cucumber- it was lacking flavor for me even with the red sauce/oil. The sour cabbage beef soup was interesting! It tasted nice and beefy, but was a bit too sour for me. The lemon dessert was my favorite! It was a cheesecake mousse with lemon curd in the middle~ so pretty and tasty! Service was top tier! I'd recommend coming here for the vibes!

I did not expect to find a sit down Cantonese & Sichuan Restaurant in the heart of Herald Square…read more For sure a hidden gem worth trying. Came here with two other friends for dinner and we pigged out. We started off with Scallion Pancake with Shredded Duck ($15), which tasted amazing. The pancake was flaky and not overly soaked in oil, while the duck meat enhanced the taste. I think everything should order this for the table. We also got the Dan Dan Noodles w Minced Pork ($8), which is a staple dish in Sichuan cuisine. Make sure you stir the bowl to mix the sauce and minced pork. For veggies, we got the Sautéed Green Beans With Eggplant ($18), which tasted great. I usually get sautéed pea shoots for a veggie dish, but this was worth ordering as the eggplant tasted great along with the green beans. For entrees, we got the Spicy Green Pepper Fish Filet ($28 for filet). A classic Cantonese dish that comes with bok choy, so it turns out I didn't really need to order a veggie dish. Delicious. We also tried the OOHU Mao Xue Wang ($34), which may be one of the most spiciest dish available on the menu. This dish combines blood curd from a duck, tripe, and chicken gizzards along with other organs into a simmered broth containing chilis and peppercorns. They also use spam, vermicelli noodles, mushroom, and other things. If you're adventurous and you like spicy, I would recommend this. Best eaten with a cup of rice. Service is great as our server made good recommends and was overall friendly. They also have a party room you can book, which sounded pretty affordable. Don't recall what their minimum spend was, but it was super reasonable compared to a lot of other spots in Chinatown and Flushing.

We ordered multiple dishes which came out one after the other. Some of the standouts for me were the Pork Intestine Dry Pot ($20.95), Crispy Tofu with Salty Egg Yolk ($23.95), and Sauteed String Beans ($16.95). Many spicy food options since this is a Szechuan spot afterall. Some dishes were a bit too salty and spicy, which they did discount after we brought it to their attention. Overall, decent spot and good for large groups. Otherwise, I didn't find this spot to be too memorable (not bad, not great).

I really liked the scallion pancake and eggplant. The pancake wasn't crispy/dry, but rather the exterior was crisp and the inside was still a little soft/fluffy. It's the first time I had a scallion pancake that wasn't just straight dough inside/outside, or so thin that it got crisped out. I really liked this texture profile though. The eggplant was 10/10; the eggplant was cooked well, so tender but not soggy. The sauce was really good too such that it was sufficient spice but not flaming. Would recommended. I enjoyed the cucumber salad and tofu as well, but have had better. Seasoning and prep were good though -- although the tofu was cooked so tender (or maybe was silken tofu to begin with) that the whole table was struggling with carrying it from plate to mouth -- heh. Food came out very quickly; staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Decent amount of seating with a cozy vibe. It was a good meal, not my favorite Szechuan spot, but definitely hit the spot.
