Ribs (slab for one served wet), fried, hush puppies, and very buttery garlic toast.
    Erik H.

I am in Millington for work and stopped by here to get some BBQ. I found the menu to be a bit confusing (I.e. the "slab for one" is huge and for the price of about 36 bucks could be two meals) but the food was good. I think they should be more clear how big the portions are or at least provide photos online. I got the slab of ribs for one served wet (dry rub with sauce too), with hush puppies and fries on the side and they included garlic toast. The ribs were moist and flavorful with a great taste like I hadn't had before coming from CA. The hush puppies were good but the fries and toast were just okay. In conclusion: this spot is worth a try, support local places wherever you go!

ows a basket of fried fish and fries

HORRIBLE!! I ordered the catfish plate with fries and slaw. I also asked for my fish to be fried hard. That didn't happen and the hush puppies were old and tough. The "suppose to be tartar sauce" was sweeter than the tea. Service was slow even though I called my order in but that was fine the food is horrible. I don't recommend it at all. I asked for catfish not SWAY.

New location!!! The Millington location is now on hwy US 51. Doors open to the public on June 10, 2019. This new location (closer to Millington) is located next to the Wyatt Earp steakhouse. Expect the same delicious BBQ and fixins you remember from the Kerrville location. Expect the same hometown service too! They've made some changes in location, setting, and even added some new menu items- all of which make me want to keep returning!! Even though the building looks different- the food quality, fair cost, friendly staff, and Awesome peach cobbler hasn't changed at all!! If you have always loved Pig and Whistle or if you've never tried it, give this new location a try. You won't be disappointed!! My fav: the kielbasa (dry) cheese plate! But you can't go wrong with the BBQ nachos either- of course!!! And that's just to get started!!

    muddy ribs...oohh man

Dry brisket and pork, Hush puppies are good. Service was good; however, I couldn't get over the dryness.

Solid hometown barbecue. The ribs never disappoint. Service and ambiance are down home but, really, it's all about the barbecue.

For an appetizer we got the spicy chicken bites. We were seated immediately and our waitress, Jennifer C., was right there to take our order. She was attentive and professional. Our silverware was clean this time. Our food was cooked just the way we ordered it and with just the right ammount of seasoning. Delicious steak and hamburger. Everything was excellent. If you haven't tried the spicy chicken bites you are missing out and they give you a lot of them. Anyway, Longhorns is my go to place for delicious steak again! Good job!!!

This is not our first time coming to this Longhorns, and we actually appreciate the location of it as it keeps us from driving to Memphis. Tonight was my first night back in the area and my wife and I wanted to have a special meal, so we chose Longhorns. As we entered the facility, the Hostess readily greeted us and got us seating. We waited about five to ten minutes before the server actually showed up to the table to take our drink order. We had enough time to actually know what we wanted when she came, so as I stated in the survey, she took our entree order because we gave it to her when she came. The next phase was seamless until my wife found a hair in her table napkin that held the silverware she had just used to butter the bread. The Server after dropping off the drinks and bread seemed to be very preoccupied because we didn't even get the customary "yall still doing good?" The food comes out and my wife is mortified that the steak is still mooing it was so pink. My salmon look as if it had eczema. We tried to enjoy our food, but it was just not tasty at all except for the shrimp because we both got the Shrimp. We'll see if the dogs will eat this, because I certainly just wasted $63 dollars! Other than that, this is one of those instances where I should've just driven to Memphis instead of having this disappointing experience with this location.
