I'm shocked by the negative reviews here! We visited a few weeks ago, it hadn't been opened long. We always order a plethora of items from new businesses - gotta try it all! My family is from Louisiana, so I was more than intrigued to try the catfish: it was absolutely incredible! Large portion, perfectly and lightly fried and seasoned. I'm a seafood junky, so also tried the Pan Seared Shrimp appetizer. I was worried about the "Secret Shrimp Sauce" but I legit could have drank it. Hubby ordered the burger with pulled pork on top. The pork was tender and loved that the sauce was on the side so you could add as much or as little as possible. Burger was well seasoned as well! Mac and Cheese and Cole Slaw were very tasty, but the Banana Pudding stole the show in terms of sides. I'm not a banana fan but loved it. We will be returning soon! So my wife and I stopped in today around 2:30 to grab a bite. We ordered two sandwiches and 1 large fry. We received 1 sandwich and the fry. The cashier was not listening well at all. We waited over 30 minutes for 1 sandwich and a fry. That was mediocre at best. Thats not a good start for a business only open for a week. Next time Im in that area Im going straight to Smileys better food and fast accurate service. read more

Second time at Piggy's. Family owned by a cool guy. First time we got an assortment of meats and their signature smoked then fried chicken wings. Awesome! Tried something new today, Brisket burger. A thick burger topped with smoked brisket on a brioche bun, I added cheddar cheese - includes fries. I got four of these for the family.... Wow!! This has to go as one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Very thick meaty sandwich, nice. Keep up the great food and glad to see that you're busy. Instead of waiting you can order online ahead of time too. Tons of food delivery services came in for pick up orders while I was there. I will be back for the brisket burger!! read more

First time here, we had pulled pork, pulled chicken, Mac n cheese, coleslaw and cornbread. Both meats were absolutely excellent best I hv had. Not sure what he puts in mac n cheese but it is very creamy and stays that way. No clumping. Coleslaw was ok, cornbread was great. I will definitely be going back!! read more

We ordered from the catering menu. We chose the pulled pork and rib tips with green beans and coleslaw. We also added an order of the bone-in chicken. Everything was great. The service was truly a 10 out of 10. Definitely recommend and will order again! read more

Disappointed. Yelp reviews were good but food no where lived up to hype. Had sampler of brisket pulled pork and shredded chicken with spicy sauce on side. Extremely small portions and just not very good food. Rib tips were more tasty but chicken wings again blah. The side if green beans were the best thing in the whole meal. The food is delicious, plain and simple. I've tried the rib tips, smoked wings, and the piggy so far and have not been disappointed. Also tried the banana pudding, which is the best I've had from a restaurant. Sometimes I go in just for that. The gentleman at the counter, who I assume is the owner, is pleasant and welcoming and the customer service is great. I'm glad this place is in Plainfield. read more

I ordered 2 family packs from them yesterday. One was beef brisket and the other was the pulled chicken. A total of 6 sides came with the meals. I found this restaurant on Google maps and was very disappointed. I ordered rib tips and they didn't taste as described. It was stated the food was smoked 4 hours but it did taste as if it had been cooked in a smoker at all. The meat was tough, not thoroughly cooked. The greens tasted as if they were cooked in vinegar. Not a pleasant experience overall. I would not recommend this place if you want authentic BBQ. read more

Service was incredible. My boyfriend and I walked in 15 minutes until they closed without knowing and the man who took our order was extremely nice about it. He respectfully told us there were 15 minutes left till close but proceeded to take our order without any complaints. Not only that but the food was incredible, easily is made with love. First time going to restaurant and not impressed with them. Ordered a takeout and when got home, the order was not correct. Got a brisket sandwich because they were out of brisket (??). There was no bbq sauce on the sandwich or even on the side. Called to let know and said would let supervisor know to call. Never got a call. Was just looking to get the order right. Also charge you a 3% service charge??? For what?? With no call back, don't feel they truely cared about the bad experience. Will not be going back. read more

Bad and Boujee All Wrong. The food is not bad, but the waits usually are long and the customer service I received today was enough for me to part ways for good and advise others the same. I placed my order online just before 3pm I also received a call 5-10min later notifying me I could cancel for refund or accept the hour delay. Not sure if it was a system thing or shortage. I chose to accept the 5pm pickup to give myself more time. Upon arrival, I sent my 15 yr old inside to retrieve the order. After 15 minutes passed I also went inside to check on the status. The line was to the door and there was no one upfront. You would think a dine in establishment would have a greeter/ host. Another thing expected with all the waiting would be a proper waiting area instead of having customers huddled by the front door. Just before 530pm another customer and I received our orders. A young blonde woman emerged from the kitchen with 2 bags. I noticed the lack of and requested utensils. I also asked if there would be compensation for the drastic 2.5 hr wait, I received the most unnecessary, condescending, demeaning look and response from the lady, assuring me I was just another number out of a very long list. (20 for the day) Whether I was 19 or the 20th I've never been so diminished as a customer. After gathering my belongings, and the little dignity remaining we left. Upon checking the food I noticed missing items but couldn't bring myself to step foot back inside. I ordered rib tips with fries, 2 brisket chilies with sour cream (extra charge) and a macaroni. I won't recommend the macaroni but the ribs were fine. 2.5 hours and they neglected the requested sour cream. No compensation in the form of a drink or otherwise, just bad treatment and rudeness. read more

The best food ever! I think if you live in Plainfield, Naperville, Joliet or Bolingbrook this is a must have. Everything on the menu is the best. I had the chance to meet the owner and he is so professional, cool, classy and awesome. Make sure you eat or cater this great food! read more

Ain't the same Piggy's no more... Went last night to the new location to order carry-out. Person kept answering and taking multiple phone orders rather than helping us standing right in front of them. Once she decided to attend to us, we ordered and began to pay but noted an extra service charge had been added other than sales tax. She kept flipping the screen wanting a tip added but I kept flipping it back instead and asking about the extra charge. By the third or fourth time, she realized that she was going to have to answer my question if she wanted me to complete the payment. She stated that the extra charge was for using a credit card. I pointed out that there was no notice given anywhere about that and she pointed to the homemade sign at the register. BUT the sign was for something else, and she then realized that there actually was NO sign about credit card charges anywhere around! She then went to find a sign and brought it back to her register. I told her I would pay with cash instead and she didn't bother with the tip screen again as she was clearly being discourteous to us by now because of the business' error. She took our name and said to take a seat and our name would be called when the food was ready. We sat at the first table directly in front of her at the register. She had to pass us by every time in order to go back and forth to the kitchen. We waited nearly 40 minutes for our name t/b called while watching her serve food to people who came in and ordered after us. I finally went up to the counter to ask if there was some problem with our order (1 pound of brisket, 1 mac & cheese, and 1 FF) and the other lady would only keep saying I don't know anything about it - I just work here. The order taker came out again with someone else's food and told me it would be "soon" and mumbling something about the kitchen being busy. When she came back out from the kitchen next time she asked for the name on the order and said there wasn't any order back there for that name. She then went to look in the pickup case behind register and was like "oh! here it is!". I questioned her that the food was likely sitting in there for 20 to 30 minutes all while ignoring us right in front of the register and because she never called our name when it was ready? She didn't even try to say she called out the name and we didn't hear it. At that exact point in time, it was as if she knew, that we now knew, that she had decided to mess us up with the order from the very beginning. We said we were not accepting the food which was obviously old by now and requested a full refund. She refunded our money in silence. Both women, one by her intentional malicious actions, and the other by her indifference, have not only ruined us as customers, but also caused the food to needlessly go to waste. But then again, she may have just served the old food to the next customer without them knowing any difference. Too bad that the owner likely never hears about customers treated like this. I truly enjoyed the BBQ without the sauce. I feel you need to taste the meat without the sauce to enjoy the Que Process. I definitely recommend eating at Piggy's plus the Husband and Wife team are so beautiful and loving. Glad thy came to the area. read more

We tried this place for the first time yesterday afternoon. The woman who greeted us wasn't the friendliest and never looked up at us once. We waited about 10-15 minutes for our food which was fine as we weren't in any rush. Once we got home we realized the portions were smaller than other BBQ places in the area for the same amount of money. I ordered the Brisket sandwich and my husband had the Pulled Pork Burger. The sandwiches were overall pretty good. We also had the Elote which was basically just corn and butter. I wouldn't recommend. We also got the Mac n cheese which was very tasty. Overall some good things and some that need to be improved. We might check it out again in the future. read more

We ordered catering this past Saturday for a party. The food was phenomenal! The brisket and elotes were our absolute favorite! They made it so convenient to have the barbecue sauces in the squirt bottles on the side. We had everyone leave the party with full bellies and lots of compliments on the food. I tried this place because it was close to where I live. In a comparison between Station One and Piggy's I'll stay with Station One. I ordered the Piggy and my wife ordered the Chicken sandwich, we also ordered the Mac an cheese and Mushrooms . We waited about 15 minutes for the food . When they brought it out I asked if everything was in the bag , the girl replied yes it is . When we got home and opened the bag it was missing the Coleslaw and the mushrooms. Needless to say I was pissed . The Piggy was so dry and tasted really bad , my wife's chicken tasted dry according to her and no flavor . They did include bbq sauce which was mild flavor and it tasted just like OpenPit. I paid $46 for less than good food so I'll just stay with Station One . read more

After living in Texas, I crave decent bbq regularly and am always disappointed. We gave piggy's a try and I ordered brisket Mac and cheese and my husband ordered the sampler with very low expectations (after eating Texas brisket, everything else is tough and flavorless by comparison). I drove it 20 minutes home with my expectations sinking by the minute realizing the food was getting cold. Holy smokes was I surprised. The brisket was fantastic- tender and full of flavor (and still warm!) and the Mac and cheese was amazing on its own. Lots of flavor in the cheese sauce! We loved the spicy bbq sauce too. I've been here twice now and love it. The first time I got the pulled pork BBQ nachos and they were so good! The second time I got the Jumbo fried shrimp and they were huge! And delicious. My husband got the smoked turkey leg and said it was best he ever had. We can't wait to go back. read more

Driven by many times and been wanting to stop and try this place - kicking myself it took this long! The barbecue here is outstanding! We ordered the rib tips and their signature sandwich "The Piggy". Also tried several sauces on the side. Meals came with cornbread as well. Every sauce was delicious - the meats were top shelf and barbecued to perfection. We've been to other "award winning" barbecue places in the area, but Piggy's is definitely a cut above. The owner told us we'll be back and I have to say "no doubt"! This is our new "go to" place for barbecue. read more

My wife and I were on our way home from being out for the day, and decided to get Piggy's for dinner. We called with the intention of placing an order ahead of when we got there to save some time, but we were on hold for 5 minutes before we finally gave up and figured we'd be there by the time they got back to us on the phone. We got there and placed our order, and I was told it would be 20-30 minutes because they make the shrimp to order. We finally got our food 45 minutes later, and took it home. Opened the bag to find that they forgot the BBQ sauce (how does a BBQ joint forget the BBQ sauce??), then opened the ribs to find that they weren't nearly as meaty as ribs I got at their previous location. I always justified the higher price by saying the ribs were meatier than any I'd had before. I also ordered a large fry, and asked if that would be enough for two people, and was told yes. What looked like a large bag was half filled with fries, and was not enough for two. Very disappointed in this visit to Piggy's. Not sure if we'll be going back. read more
