Cute dive bar out in echo park. Friendly patrons and staff. Love.the dark ambiance of the place and it's cozy. They have signature cocktails and limited food menu. Also great for taking a mirror selfie but no flash. Music by the dj was great. Music vibes all night. Parking, out on the street.

Walking in initial I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and nice it was inside. They played live music and the vibes were amazing. Service was great and drinks tasted good and were well crafted.

The Gold Room is hands down one of my favorite spots in Echo Park. What really makes this place shine? The bartenders. They're the kind of people who remember your drink, your vibe, and treat you like a regular--even if it's your first time in. Great service. The cocktails are thoughtful. You can tell they care about what they're pouring, from the classics to seasonal specials. It's rare in LA to find a place where the drinks are this well-made and priced so reasonably. You're not paying $18 for something overhyped--you're getting quality without the markup. Whether it's a Dodgers game day, a low-key Friday, or just a random Tuesday, The Gold Room always feels like the right move.

First time coming here! It was Thursday night and they have a live DJ. My friend got a vodka soda and I got the Mexican candy shot. Both were really good. The service was great and so was the music they were playing. It's pretty small in there but there was enough space to dance and all.

This place was perfect before the dodger game. Not too crowded and the menu and prices were amazing. Probably the best michelada I've ever had. The bartender was so polite and pleasant. The drinks were creative the tropical Red Bull margarita was awesome. Cool spooky vibes with dark classic bar feels.

I really enjoyed the ambiance of this bar and found it a fun place to hang out on a week night! I appreciated that they have 2 happy hours each night and it just so happened when we arrived, one was about to end. The drinks was very flavorful and had the perfect strength. I liked the creativity of the drink menu and hope to return to try more of their delicious drinks.

Came here this past weekend and it was awesome! Kudos to the dj that was playing on Friday night. His music choice was 10/10. From hip hop, reggeaton, cumbia, banda, you name it. The service was good for having 1 bartender. She was very nice and attentive. Can't wait to be back again

Haven't been to Gold Room in years, better than I remember it. Small dive bar off Sunset. Bartender Tony was friendly, attentive and quick to take our drink order. His cocktails were very very well made. He takes his time and you can tell enjoys the craft. Tried the Double Trouble and Pineapple Express. Double Trouble is absolutely delicious - 10/10. Pineapple Express was just as good, but def loaded (has mezcal & tequila). It'll have you feeling good real quick. Drink prices are reasonable priced for LA. Same for their daily happy hour menu. Very solid beer menu too. They have a jukebox you can pay to control the music which is kinda cool. Get to hear a variety of music genres cause of it. Solid bar for a quick beer or cocktail.

Stopped by Gold Room for our very last drink of the long night on a Saturday. This bar stays poppin' until closing! I didn't get the name of my bartender but he was friendly and take the time to make me an excellent whiskey sour (with egg whites!), even though it was a very busy night. Drink prices are fair for quality drinks. I will definitely return!

(A lot of thought went into the acoustics & speaker system.) This chic establishment serves up European-inspired small plates, and their cocktail program melds inspiration with a respect for classic structure. The sultry pulsating bass lines that ooze through the speakers set the tone for a chilled vibe, and the tropical motifs provide an escape from reality. It's a great spot to relax and catch a game or hang with friends, which I did. I met some of my favorite Yelp peeps here for Sunday Brunch. We received a warm & friendly welcome from Rasheeda (bartender). She was darling, as was our server, Mason. They were both fantastic. We settled into the cozy couches tucked in the corner and ordered several dishes to share: Hummus, Prosciutto Panino, Eggplant Panino, Mediterranean Eggs, Green Shakshuka, & Fries. Drinks consisted of: Nitro Cold Brew, Bloody Mary, Age of Aquarius, & a Lavender Gimlet. The fries were tossed with rosemary salt and came with garlic aioli & ketchup. They were addicting & delicious. My Lavender Gimlet did not disappoint. Everyone enjoyed their selections, and we had a great time together. This was the perfect meet up spot. I'm looking forward to coming back. *Street parking (can be tricky.) Metered parking across the street. *Happy Hour 2 pm - 6 pm daily & all-day Monday.

And thank the lords that I went with a group so we could try a bunch of different bites~ I will start off by saying that I truly cannot understand some of the haterade or strong dislike comments that talk about lack of flavor because genuinely every dish we tried was flavorful and overall pretty darn delicious. The spice level was actually a bit high for some of my friends but really hit that perfect mild-moderate heat for me. We ordered the dosa onion rings, piri piri fries, paneer parm sandwich, the bbq wings (for my omni friends), the malai rigatoni, and the green chile chutney pizza. We were hungry as a group of 4 but I will admit we had a few bites left at the end that we could not finish. Honestly everything was delicious but the standouts were the piri piri fries and the paneer parm sandwich. The fries came out hot, crispy, so well seasoned with both ketchup and raita dipping sauces; ugh I can't help but love a good potato! The paneer parm sandwich was such a thick, indulgent slab of fried paneer with melted cheese and chutney, chef's kiss would absolutely get again. The dosa onion rings were so true to their name because you could absolutely taste the dosa batter on the outside; it was a tad difficult to bite/cut but otherwise also very solid. The mango chutney that it came with hit and this is coming from a girl who usually doesn't like sweet chutneys. The green chile chutney pizza was sooo tasty; good fusion between a classic pizza and I love green chutney so could it get better than this? We tried both alcoholic and N/A drinks and they were delicious! The tandoori spritz was A+ imo. The interior is bright and it's fun to really hit a sports bar with such an eclectic fusion of foods. It was interesting to see the variety of sports they had on each TV too. Even with the small comment on service below, this place deserves a 5/5 and I would totally return. Prices are very fair for quality, esp in this economy. Service was...interesting. Friendly overall, checked in on us when first items were dropped off, but not again. When we were ordering, we wanted to be mindful of portions/quantity so we asked for some guidance and were essentially told "well I don't believe in restricting myself and you guys are all adults so you should order what you want." Totally understand the energy and intention, but did find it rather unhelpful as we were visiting from out of town and had no place to store leftovers. I understand the role of server when it comes to upselling, but it was a really strange interaction when we were already ordering quite a bit.

The piija was a standout for me. We also came in during the NBA Finals game when the Knicks won and the place had TVs all along the walls, so the energy and crowd that day were a lot of fun. Even outside of a big game night, seems like a solid spot for watching sports with great food and drink options. Staff were friendly and attentive. Really good experience and would come back.

Now, I was just a man looking for a sports bar to watch my team win, wasn't expecting much. So, I was pleasantly surprised when met with not only awesome fellow fans but also a kick-ass service team. That bar was so busy given the season and that was of expectation, but I watched the bartenders specifically handle it like a cake walk and even better, my drinks were FANTASTIC. From the Espresso Martini that got my not-so-young self through the night, to the Carajillo--those were elite cocktails and I had low hopes honestly. The people here were nice and had a corky humour to them. Our table got two sausage platters, frickles, lemon pepper wings, and a pretzel. There is usually an expectation for American bar food before you enter the establishment, and they all lived up to the hype. The textures were amazing, fried food was crispy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside. Sausages had a bite to them and tender in the middle. Flavour profiles here were smoky, punchy, sweet, and vinegary. The lettuce mix under the sausages was a nice touch too. This fed four perfectly. Great variety of beer too! What a friendly local bar and a great place to catch sports. I watched one of the World Cup…read moresemi-final games here and it was the perfect destination. Hungary didn't make it to the World Cup this year so that was a bit of a bummer, considering my fam is from the old country. However, my second all-time fave, France, was still in the semi-finals. You see, I grew up watching Zinedine Zidane and to me, the World Cup brings back childhood memories and family bonding time. The menu items took me back in time. Much to my surprise, I noticed that there was a Hungarian kielbasa & a Debreziner sausage listed on their $10 lunch deal. I was shocked that I had the opportunity to debate over which one to pick. DEBREZINER sausage (in German) or for us Hungarians, is better known as "Debreceni Virsli" and made in the region where my dad's side of the fam grew up. It's often served cut up on the sides and has a richer color. For me, it's a bit juicier and there's more paprika in there. It's more along the lines of chorizo, if that's what your flavorbuds prefer. It's made with sweet and hot paprika, garlic, pepper, and marjoram. If my dad had been with me that day, he'd opt for the Debreziner. After deliberating for a bit, I decided to go with the HUNGARIAN KIELBASA and decked it out with grilled onions, sauerkraut, and jalapeños (very hot, stated the menu). The jalapeños rivaled the outside 100+ degree temperature. Thankfully, the cool AC made me forget it was one sweltering summer's day. Also, the Hibiscus Cider was crisp and made my experience and the lackluster game worth my time out. I loved how easy the ordering went-just tap the menu on the iPad and voila, you got the whole spiel. Service was quick and felt welcoming like I was at home in someone's living room with tons of TVs all around. Sadly, France didn't show up to play in the game until the last 5 mins or so. Spain obvi deserved the win and yes, this year's cup for their fancy footwork. The vibe was great and the crowd around me were locals on a first name basis with the staff. With awesome cider and food as tasty as I had growing up at home, I think I'll make it a goal to be on a first name basis around here during the NHL & NFL season.
