Love this spot! I've visited twice and tried different things both times. There aren't many Persian restaurants like this one around. The vibes, the service, cleanliness, and food is always consistent and a 10/10. My favorite part is that they don't have the traditional items you're expecting. Everything is so flavorful and different, which really sets them apart from others. I love the potato dish, the wings, chicken, soup. I can't remember the names, but everything is delicious, truly!

The food was all absolutely delish! The eggplant gheimeh was shockingly good (as somebody who isn't even a big eggplant fan). It was very flavorful and comforting. The chicken and lamb dishes were so tender we didn't touch our knives. Highly recommend getting a mazeh plate to share. The kofteh was also delish and huge! We had a group of five and would have been fine with three entrees+mazeh plate. The vibe of the restaurant is cute but casual. You order at the front before they seat you. Loved the family-style vibe and cute plates. Service was a little bit weird about seating and wouldn't let us sit down while we waited for the rest of our group despite the table being ready and seemed slightly annoyed when we requested a table switch due to being squished against a wall. However food came out quickly and made up for it.

I love Azizam! Took myself on a solo date here about two months ago when I moved into the area. When you first walk in you're welcomed with a cool retro vibe that feels pretty homey. Since it was my first time here I asked the person working at the front ( you have to order up front where they then give you a number) some questions regarding the menu. They were supper attentive and friendly. After I ordered I sat outside to people watch which was honestly really nice. Reminded me of Paris. My food came promptly thus after. The Tumeric braised chicken is amaaazzzinggg the chicken is so juicy and falls off the bone. The rice has some sort of crunchiness to it that compliments the entire flavor profile of the dish. The eggplant dip reminded me of the one my grandmother makes, dipped with the chicken made my meal feel really nostalgic. I've been back four times since and never regret it. One of those meals that just makes you feel really good after!

Solid 4 stars for Azizam! Order at the counter and someone brings your food all in a very casual ambiance with tons of outdoor seating. Service was helpful with picking out dishes for my first visit. Favorite dish was the Kofteh Tabrizi, a tasty little meat and rice dish served in the shape of a ball with a tasty broth. We also got the Turmeric Braised Chicken was a little disappointing, 3 1/2 stars. Would definitely come back for a casual bite here when craving Persian food in Silverlake.

Maybe my favorite Iranian restaurant in the whole city. If you look at my Persian food reviews you'll see I'm into the homey and fresh Persian food, which is pretty rare in LA. Azizam hits the spot. I had my doubts and wondered if it was going to be Persian food for non-Iranians but it's totally not. My Persian parents (who themselves are very good cooks of Persian food) also loved it. My absolute favorite is turmeric braised chicken. Tied for second are the kofteh tabrizi and eggplant gheymeh. The fresh herb plate is simple but so fresh and a great starter. Also love the mirza ghassemi. Gonna have to try the rest of the menu soon. But seriously, it sounds so simple but I actually regularly crave the turmeric chicken (and I never crave Persian food!). And they sometimes have tahchin which I'm super picky about but theirs is really good (no rose water!) The servers and owners are so helpful and nice (and always co-sign my desire to get an extra dish). It's also dog friendly outside which is great.

We recently visited this restaurant. The food tasted good and the quality was decent. However, the portion size was really small compared to the price we paid. We felt that the amount of food did not match the cost. Honestly, we did not feel full at all. The photos don't clearly show how small the portions actually were. In person, it was very noticeable. For example, koofteh is a dish that is normally eaten with bread, but they charged us separately for the bread. They asked $3.50 for just two very small pieces. Even the bread portion was small, which was surprising.

Trendy little Persian spot in Silverlake?!? Too funny. There was a Pro-Pahlavi Monarchist Protest happening so why not take some family to this spot to try it! - Gheymeh Bademjan (Eggplant): Slices of eggplant were juicy and tender. Sauce was nicely flavored. They hit this one nicely! Sadly, the rice was not it. And for Iranian rice to be subpar in an Iranian restaurant is a cardinal sin, with all due respect - The plate of appetizers were perfect for complementing the meal and the Zeytoon was GAS. Wish the torshi had some garlic cloves and more cauliflower but it was a small gripe - Albaloo Spritz (Sour Cherry): For those not familiar with sweet drinks from Iran, they often have sour cherry syrup/flavoring. Kinda Shirley Temple-like you could say. Wish I could chug 3 of these. - Ash-e-jo: Herbaceous with tender barley. Reminded me of being a kid. Perfect on a cold night. Nice size for sharing. - Kotlet (Ground beef patty): Chunkier consistency than I'm used to but it complemented the crispyness so well. Going to try the sandwich next. Definitely coming back and bringing friends. Staff were kind and constantly coming around to take plates and greet people. Amoo and Padar approved!

Honestly kinda not wanna review this place and keep it my hidden gem lol everything was delicious and maybe a bit Asian fusiony/inspired. It's like a cafe where you place your order at the counter then go to the table with a number. They also serve wine, beer, and sake. The ambiance is nice and there are plenty of outdoor seats with heat lamps. Loved the lamb dish, the baba ghanoush and the chicken dish the most but everything else was also delishhh. Parking is impossible on this street so be ready to circle around multiple times or valet somewhere.

As a Persian, I love going to trendy Persian spots with a twist on the old school recipes I grew up on. Azizam has a cute cafe ambiance with some middle eastern touches. The mirza gasemi eggplant dip was one of the best I've had. You have to order bread separately, but at least they have tasty fresh made barbari bread. The tongue and kotlet sandwiches were a little hard to eat with the way the bread was cut, but they were both good in flavor and taste. Located in Silverlake, so parking is a nightmare as expected. But great place to try some dishes you may not find at your traditional Persian restaurant.

one of my favorite restaurants in LA. mazeh plate is unlike anything i've ever had defffff get the herbs and eggplant. the turmeric rice chicken is so flavorful and tender and there's so many pinches of pickle which i LOVE. they use long grain rice which soaks up everything perfectlyyyy affordable (everything around $20) and very easy casual counter service style. please come to explore diverse cuisine and support small businesses. so well deserving of all its accolades

The food is very delicious. The service is pretty good at daycare. If there is anything less they can take care of you the ambience is pretty cool as well. Overall we went to this place a few times and I really like and enjoyed it.

You know when you've seen a restuarant pop on the Eater LA, you know it's going to be good! As you walk in, you order first and then take a seat. The water is self serve which is nice as I do drink a lot of water. lol. There an outside and inside seating. I love sitting outside and people watch as you eat. The vibes are amazing. I've been here two times now and I still wanna go back! The first time we got the mirza Ghanem which is an eggplant and tomato dip. It was well seasoned and had a nice crispy onions on top. We ordered barberi bread with it. We then got the chicken plate, so full of flavor and also got the kofteh tabrizi. I'm so excited again to come and try even more!

It's one of the best authentic Persian food, make sure you order the shams beer and Sharbat as a drink because you cannot find it anywhere else, The turmeric rice and Chicken was so delicious. It's so hard to find a parking, but there is a lot of street parking close by. Dorrin was amazing!! Great customer service:)

The gentleman who take care of us was super friendly - I'm sad I didn't get his name. I am not a wine connoisseur by any means, I know a few things I like and that's about it. Our waiter was kind enough to let us sample the three whites they had rotating that night so we could pick what we wanted. I ended up going with a nice Georgian white. And now for the food! Cucumber and pomegranate salad (5/5) - it was fresh, crisp, and very well flavored with the fresh herbs. Ghormeh sabzi with rice (3.5/5) - flavor wise it was delicious, it reminded me of my grandma's ghormeh sabzi. Kidney beans were a bit undercooked. Rice was fluffy and well cooked. Tahchin with chicken (3.5/5) - flavor was good, I think it could have used a bit more seasoning and the rice was more "custardy" than I am used to. Blood orange tart (3/5) - the tart itself was yummy but the blood oranges were quite bitter. Our meal was quite expensive which I completely understand given the quality of the ingredients they use and the fact that they are small business. With that being said, I'd probably only come back here for wine and small bites, not a full meal. But I think Voodoo Vin is worth trying at least once.
