Pika Tortas ahogadas is the real deal. The first time I ordered, they forgot the salsa, but I called and they responded me very nice. So I am happy that they really care about their customers. A week ago I ordered a package of 10 tortas ahogadas with 20 tacos. I have got more than enough salsa this time. I am now a fan and a regular customer. Pika Tortas Ahogadas are the original tortas ahogadas from Guadalajara, the bolillo salado, carnitas and the salsa. You can get your Torta bien ahogada if you dare. When the tortas ahogadas is in the name of the restaurant, order the tortas ahogadas. I am usually not a fan of tortas, but this place changed me! We had it with carnitas and when it came out the meat was overflowing from the buns. It is a messy dish cause you're gonna have meat, juice, sauce, pickled onions running down your chin and hands but it is worth it! Even the bread is super fresh and so good. Add their house made hot sauce and enjoy the slobbery goodness! My bf and I also tried their barbacoa tacos which were really delicious (I might even like it more than the tortas.) The tacos were plancha style so the tortillas have a nice grilled texture, and the meat was just amazing. The flavor was all there in that beef and it was incredibly juicy. I would definitely revisit this modest establishment for some of that delicious barbacoa. I would recommend this place if you are craving some MEAT. read more

The only thing to their detriment is the service. That is to say, at no fault of personnel. There's always tons going on and the food served is to blame. It's a shame all their seating (as of today) is out in a gross parking lot that's short on parking spots, but they package all their dishes in a manner that maintains all the delicious all the way home. I visited on 11/08/21..at around 11 a.m. Ok I do have a complaint about this place. But I will also will like to say the food was ok. 1. We sat down and it took like 15 minutes for our order to be taken or even asked what we will like to drink because our waitress was next door getting her hair done. Honestly we where getting ready to get up and leave. 2. When I order coffee the cup was dirty from the previous person because their was still a lipstick stain on the cup. 3. I asked for a replacement and requested to have it in a disposable cup the lid they gave it to me in had a curly hair possibly pube hair. 4.The utensils two of our forks where still dirty as well. Honestly I will not return to this place I will fail them in cleanliness... I dont understand how they have an "A" I will really suggest to the owner to ask his employees to be carefull of these things since they're selling food or replace the dishwasher person and also waitress need to pay attention when giving the utensils. read more

So we decided to give this place a try today since it's close to us. This review is based solely on the guy working the front. We placed an order today through their website at 9:06 for pickup. My husband arrives around 9:30 and the guy in the front says they never received an order. So my husband is like oh we have the email and he said he didn't mind it waiting for the food if there was any mistake. The guy says he wants the physical email where he can scroll through it and not a screenshot. So my husband texts me since I had used my email and I forward him the email. The guy disregards the email and says well I can't make your food because we didn't get it. So he made my husband go through all that to just say he wasn't going to make it. He told him he should place another order and pay. At that point my husband was upset because he wanted him to my husband to pay again for the food. He even showed him the charge from the bank. The guy ended up calling the owner I'm assuming and they said that they had gotten the order so what was the problem. He then said he was going to make the food. At the point of receiving the order it was point it was almost 10am and my husband was running late for his meeting. I understand that computers fail but there had to be a better way of handling this. If someone is already showing you and email of the order and the charge to the bank I feel like that's enough evidence or at least call the owner right away instead of going back and forth with a customer. I am not sure where to start, but I had been going to this place for many years because of their tacos and licuados. However, one day I ordered the regular tacos de birria with a side order of red rice, and this was the last time I went there. Perhaps it was a mistake, but in the rice, there was what it seems to be a pubic hair. Yes, I know it is gross, but being a human, I know how they look. I immediately showed the cook; he just pulled out and apologized. I could not bare eating anything from there. Im not sure how that hair got there, but the only thing the cook offered was a new plate of rice. I left disgusted, and I have never been back. It's a great place- good customer service, fast, good sauces, and great options. What won me over was the fact that they said the sauce on the torta was hot and IT WAS. Usually, I tell her "yes I am sure I want the spiciest" because it's never as SPICY as I can take it.. but this place exceeded my expectations with that sauce! Placed an order over the phone for: carne en su jugo, chips and salsa, side of sour cream, and jericalla. Drove to pick up my order (as they told me 15 mins) and to my surprise, everything was ready, so I just had to pay. Got to work and my goodness! Everything was well packed and I got salsas, chiles toreados, cebollitas, cebolla y cilantro, limones. The carne en su jugo came with 3 handmade tortillas and guacamole and let me tell you, it was perfect. The carne was tender and flavorful, the broth de chile verde was tasty and mild, the bacon and beans complimented the whole thing. The chips were the right texture (not too crunchy or soggy) and the table salsa was really good with a pronounced tomato base. The jericalla was great but I personally didn't care too much for the texture of the top part. Think creme brulee meets flan but with a light flavor. I brought the rest home with me and my husband fell in love. He thinks we should make it either a weekly or bi-weekly stop. read more

Great customer service, because I was serving myself the whole time. I got up to get my chips & salsa after waiting 10 minutes for them. My food arrived & I was with my parents & we all ordered the tortas so we needed a fork & a knife. We only got 1 so I asked for 2 more but never received them. Our food began to get cold so I AGAIN got up to ask for the knives & the lady said "I'll bring them to you soon" & NEVER DID. My dad had to get up 5 minutes later to ask a different person for 2 knives. They need to hire more staff because they are all overwhelmed & stressed. This place is over rated and over priced . Let me start with customer service, the cashier was not friendly nor helpful. Wasn't familiar with the menu I asked if several items where available her response was no! Nor did she have any suggestions. The food ordered was quesadilla al pastor, chicken nachos, Food took long time to come out . The al pastor quesadilla tasted funny , can't pinpoint if it was the meat or the cheese. The chicken nachos where two thumbs down. The chicken in the nachos was a couple days old . The salsa was not fresh . The menu has lots of options to chose from however, don't think it matters because the food was not good at all.
