The establishment policies are not followed throughout the staff. I came in with my elderly grandmother and got a couple drinks. We were there to laser bowl and celebrate with my brother for his birthday. An older man told me we had to leave right after I got our drinks and sat down. Meanwhile the table next to us wasn't made to leave. We were not being loud or rude. We were not bothering anyone. We were simply waiting for my brother to get there so we could celebrate with him. Maybe the lady who sold me my drinks should've said something before I bought them but no instead we had to toss our drinks and we had to leave. Unfair and down right ignorant. I wasn't asking for special treatment. I just wanted to be treated equally as the table next to us. Or at least given some time to finish what I purchased from the establishment. read more

Been bowling here since 1980( I was 6)...joined duckpin leagues as a youth all the way through adult leagues. Was told by management they will be replacing the duckpin lanes August 2025 with Ten pin lanes. New owners apparently could care less about duckpin leagues or the lanes as they have needed much repair these last few years. We have people that have been bowling here for over 45 years in leagues, drive from Winchester and other places. Will 6 more Ten pin lanes really make that much of a difference? No it will not, it's a shame these new owners could care less about the people who enjoy duckpin bowling and have spent tens of thousands of dollars over the years with summer and winter leagues. Six Tenpin lanes isn't gonna do much for the business except leave about 24 duckpin bowlers with no leagues or have to travel to Hagerstown. read more

This place is not family friendly. The employees are rude and use foul language. Cursing at customers and refusing to honor posted prices is not a way to stay in business. You probably shouldn't tell people your job is to press a f-ing button, call them the b word, and kick them out. This was on top of cursing at high school kids. Cannot believe that you refuse to take down a wrong sign and tell people you don't care that the posted prices are wrong. I cannot count the number of times they used the f-word. Multiple customers including kids were misinformed. High school kids don't have a lot of money and kicking out customers for trying to help them, then screaming profanities as they exit the parking lot is not a way to get return customers. I'm not sure what's up with all of the bad reviews. This is like any normal bowling alley anywhere in the country that isn't some fancy laser show all day backlight bowling garbage. It's a little dark. It's a little dingy. It's a normal bowling alley. The lady at the counter was super nice and helpful. Games were 5 bucks a person, which is cheap for this day and age. This was a hidden gem of a find while vacationing from NYC with my wife! Not only do they have many excellent bowling lanes to bowl in they also serve fresh made burgers, sandwhiches and snacks to boot. There is also a huge room filled with games of you want to have even some more fun and a prize counter with goodies and prizes to win when you redeem all your tickets. Prices were very affordable and the everyone was very friendly and helpful. Wish we had one of these up North!! Lol!! This bowling alley is a Grand Slam!!! 5 star rating and very clean and well maintained. We will be back for sure next vacation!!! read more

Had a bad experience first time being there. Machines started malfunctioning not giving the balls back and the machines were lagging. After asking the employees about it they started to get aggressive and told us to get the F$@ out, (mostly a taller man that was wearing a hat and dirty grey beard accompanied by a short Asian man backing him up) at the end cops were called. It was 8 of us and didn't even get to finish the game. Felt like we were racially profiled but I'm sure we're not the only ones. We are local business owners to the Inwood area and we know that is not the way to talk to paying customers supporting other local businesses. On top of all that the employees were utterly disrespectful when we went up to tell them the problems. Went there to bowl with 3 friends and played a total of 3 games. Our lane had and issue with it giving us strikes no matter what we actually scored. After my friend told the lady at the front and told her the issue, in response she gave a look and did not even say anything. After a bit of us troubleshooting our lane barrier came down and would not go up again. After telling the employee this she said nothing could be done and had a very rude demeanor towards us. 82 dollars for 3 games and faulty lanes. read more

Duck pin bowling was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with 2 elementary school kids. They had a blast! Nice size place, very clean and family friendly the arcade is pretty. Fun as well and the prizes are pretty decent :) we haven't had any issues here so far staff seems like they enjoy their job and helping the customers. We went to bowl with our whole family, we decided to try the duck bowling,since we had not ever done it. We bowled 4 frames,it took us over an hour, the lanes kept malfunctioning. When we asked for assistance we were treated like we were a nuisance. We ordered two pizza's, two large cheese fries,and two pitchers of soda,and one pitcher of beer. it came to around 75 dollars. I wasnt bothered until I realized they charged us 12 dollars for frozen pizzas. We tried to work with them and they finally accused us of being the reason the lane did not work,saying " they have worked every day until you came in". Asked us to leave but still charged us full price! We will never return.. read more

Well here we go again. I'm guessing you all have had the same luck as I. By seeing the other reviews I wasn't surprised by my visit to Peculiar Pikeside. The staff was very rude from the start. The place looked as if it needed to be shit down by the health department. As my friends and I bowled we noticed there was an awful amount of people who were just sitting there not bowling waiting for their lanes to be fixed. It's really sad to see such a horrible staff that gives the least effort, and on top you're paying a overly taxed price that changes based on the employees mood for lanes that don't even work. Do I would not recommend this place it's disgusting. I'm surprised it hasn't even been shut down yet. read more

If it were possible, this place deserves negative stars. The owner could care less about investing back into the house which is why the equipment is ancient and constantly breaking, the restrooms are disgusting, the ceiling is constantly leaking. The management Dave and Carolyn couldn't care less about supporting the leagues. They just want your money and refuse to put anything back into the house. We scheduled for a birthday party for my 6bry old and 15-20 guests. We got there, set up and my husband engr to let them know what wewanted to eat. He walks up and only have dough left for 1 pizza even though I told them that's what we would be eating. He came back we said 5 hot dogs and 7 fries and some other stuff. He comes back no hotdogs. We said just get the fries. 25 minutes later he comes back with our food. At this point over an our had went by. At this point staff changed. I went up to the front counter, mind you I'm disabled and we have a party of 5 80 yr old ladies, and ask for shoes to bowl. He said he couldn't let us bowl cause we took too much time. I explained what happened. He checked with the staff and they said we got food in the first hour. 1 16 inch pizza for 20 hungry people to share. I said I would pay for the adults and he just wanted us to leave. We didn't start and trouble or anything. We were well behaved. Did I tell you that the entire time 2 kids kept running in and crashing our party. Finally I had to post someone at the door so they couldn't cone back in. Then they stared through the window for 30 minutes. Oh and 2 of the 3 bathroom stalls were filthy and the one that wasn't, it's toilet paper was on the floor! WILL NEVER GO BACK! Could have been 10X better. I'm a local who lives not to far from here and I have always tried to stay away from this bowling alley tonight but was Retro Night and I thought it would be good to try to give a redemption to this alley. It started out fun and so amazing... our games were full of fun and laughs until the 2nd game out of 5 that the problems started. The pin setters broke, balls got stuck, and numerous other things. While I do understand this happens to bowling alleys, but it happens EVERY GAME, at least 2 times if not more each game! I was told "you can't finish your last game because the systems were built in 1900s and it takes to work on them." We were the only ones having issues this night it seemed when looking around. The man who I spoke to the last time was very upsetting. He was not understanding and the lady I spoke to the whole time helped the best she could. How is our fault your systems are faulty? Lol we pay to have a proper game not a game full of malfunctions. Like I said 1 or 2 malfunctions here or there is understandable... but 2 or more each dang game we had? I'm so upset because we came to have fun and we still kind of did but we were more frustrated than having fun. read more

My children always have a great time at Pikeside Bowling!. The place is decent and clean. The food is good and the staff is very nice.

Went with a small group Sunday afternoon. 2 Lanes we had were constantly malfunctioning requiring resets and it skipped over people's turns. Snack bar was totally overwhelmed and inefficient - it took over 45 minutes to get a simple (premade & frozen) cheese pizza. Would go to Northside in Winchester or 7-10 in Hagerstown before going to Pikeside again. read more

Bowled 4 games and the lanes malfunctioned 3 times. The man Working the counter accused us of throwing extra balls and was going to charge us for an extra frame! As if someone wants to interrupt their time to continuously stand in line. While paying he denied ever saying that and said he was the manager and no-one was above him.
