Just picked up my order that I dropped off a couple of weeks ago! I was in absolutely no rush to pick it up, and frankly didn't want to add an extra thing to my list due to the Holiday Season. At the time of drop off they informed me that they hold on to items for up to a year, so there was absolutely no hurry for me to get back there. When I walked in to pick it up I was carrying my baby with me. The clerk at the counter let me know that for future I could actually park right under the overhang when picking up, so that I wouldn't have to walk across the parking lot. I thought it was a nice gesture that they informed me of that. The service requested was getting two suits with white shirts cleaned. They came back looking nice and fresh, as well as wrinkle free. Each item came back on a separate hanger with its own plastic covering. I also thought this was a nice touch. It was just over $50 to get all 6 items cleaned (suit jacket, shirt, dress pants x2). I don't get things dry cleaned often, but this seemed like a very reasonable price to me. Overall I'm very happy with my experience! read more

Hi Sarah! Your store manager Rex told me that the prices are not set by the tailor but by "pilgrim cleaners" and that they also go by inches and yes the discount was $20 per curtain which is still a crazy price. Your other store manager Collin did not discuss any other options with me except that I could leave them there and after 1 year you guys would just donate them somewhere! So essentially the tailor will get nothing for their work. That just doesn't make sense! read more

I have used Pilgrim dry cleaners in the past for dry cleaning without any issues but I recently requested a pair of brand new dress pants to be adjusted to my length. A week later they were finished and the tailor made changes to the waist which I did not request. The owner agreed to put the waist back to its original condition but refused to provide a refund for the charges for that alteration. When I questioned him about why I was not being credited with a refund for the charges the owner did not say anything and gave me a dirty look. Wow! I will definitely find a different dry cleaner for all my future needs. read more

Hands down the WORST dry cleaning experience I have ever had. I would go back to starching shirts by hand before I went back to this place. I dropped off three items as a test, and boy did they fail miserably pretty much start to finish. Here's how: -Saturday: I arrived to drop off my clothing. The girl who helped me entered my info into the computer and took my email address, informing me that I would get an email when my order was ready for pick up. I gave the girl my three garments, a dress shirt, a sweater and a canvas kind of men's shirt. I pointed out a stain on the dress shirt and she didn't mark it and barely noted it. She then picked up the pile of clothes and realized the item on the bottom was a canvas shirt. She declared, "Oh, I thought that was a pair of pants!" But she did not go back into the computer to change what she had put in. I left feeling a little disappointed. In reality, I should have taken my clothes back and left. -Tuesday, the promised delivery date. No email. -On Wednesday evening on my way home from home, I stopped in after work. I gave the girl (different girl) my last name. She looked up my order and quickly located the dress shirt, which -- to be fair -- came back cleaned with the stain removed. Then she goes in the back of the building and I hear her putting a plastic bag over a garment. This is the canvas shirt. And then she informs me that the third item, the sweater, is still "at the factory" and is not on site. I kind of look at her and say that the clothes were supposed to be ready a full day prior and that I can't believe that simply dry cleaning a sweater would cause a delay. She just kind of shrugged and told me that sometimes that happens. I never got an itemized anything, so I as of right now have no idea if I got charged for pants, as the item was originally entered, or the canvas shirt. So frustrating and so unhelpful. So I pay almost $8 for my two garments and leave. -Thursday I get an email saying my clothes are ready, two full days after they were promised. I stop after work and the girl (a third girl) locates my sweater. She then tells me my total is $10.40. I say, "No, I paid for the other two garments already." And she says, "No, it's $10.40 for just this one." I ask why and she says it's because it's silk. I say that it is not silk and invite her to look herself. She does and shows me the tag that says that the sweater is 35% silk. I have taken this sweater to several other dry cleaners and never had anyone even ask me about treating it specially because it is part silk. I honestly never even knew it was part silk. She then stands there and stares at me while I fume for a minute. If they are going to charge TEN DOLLARS for one single item, they really ought to tell people when they are dropping off the clothes that there is going to be a substantial upcharge. But as another reviewer said, there are no prices listed anywhere. It really seemed almost like a scam -- like they are reading garment labels and finding any reason to justify a jacked up charge. On top of the fact that this is not particularly cheap dry cleaning in the first place, this is just really ridiculous. I tried not to throw $11 at the girl and told her I will not be returning, which I will definitely NOT. Also, on this final visit to the store I was not the only unhappy customer. A woman was there before me, and it turned out she had a garment that was also delayed "at the factory." She said it was supposed to be ready yesterday (Wednesday) and could not believe it was still not there. Turns out the garment in question was a gown for a wedding. The manager was in the process of telling her that not only would the garment not be returned to the store until Friday but that it wasn't even cleaned due to the fact that there was concern about bleeding. The woman was in the middle of rightly pointing out that the garment would then be THREE days past the promised time, NOT cleaned and NOT in time for her to do whatever she needed to do to get to the wedding on time. I left the store in the middle of her discussion -- didn't seem right to stick around to eavesdrop. But I really really hope she gave them hell. There is no excuse for being one or two days late period, but with such an important garment, I can't imagine how angry I would be if it were me. I wish I could subtract another star for that other lady. And I sure hope she gets her dress in time for the wedding. read more

Brought a suit coat in to be cleaned, didn't inspect the jacket immediately after, and that was a big mistake. The original stain was un touched and a second stain was found on the backside. I didn't see that the stain wasn't cleaned until I needed to wear the suit. I wouldn't trust them to clean anything. read more

Worst experience with a dry cleaner, ever. My husband and I have used Pilgrim's in Golden Valley 4 or 5 times and the last few times at least one, if not 2 of our garments have been ripped/torn. We complained each time and they didn't have much of a response. I understand when something happens maybe once but to have it happen so many times is unacceptable. We also brought my husband's linen suit we purchased for our wedding to them to be steamed before our we walked down the aisle and they stained the back pockets. The stain could not be reversed and new pants could not be ordered in time for our wedding. My husband had stains on his behind while we stood at the altar. We will never be back! read more

I hate them! I paid $10 for a bag to make it easy to drop off. I found a dry cleaner that is $1.50 per shirt cheeper and same or better quality of cleaning. I took the bag that I paid $10 for back for a refund. No refund, we pay to use their bag, but you don't get your money back. They wanted to just take the bag back, did not ask why I wasn't going to use them any more. I took the bag back and will put it in the trash instead of giving it back so they can charge someone else the money to use their stupid bag. My first time ever using Pilgrim Cleaners in Robbinsdale.. I brought in a variety of my old army uniforms that had sat in a closet for twenty years and had gotten pretty musty. (About 10-11pcs). Everything came back nice and clean,a little shocking it was over $90, except my one Camouflaged field uniform. I pretty much got blown off and an attitude of ,"well that happens sometimes, sorry." This was not a common white dress shirt, or black slacks. It was a full us army camouflaged shirt with my name, patches all over it and so on. It's the one item I can not replace. After a few visits of checking back, a voicemail appears on my phone saying that they would like to offer me store credit. How do you put a value on something that can't be replaced? And store credit? Like hell I'm ever going back there. What if it was a wedding dress? read more

I brought several items to get dry cleaned here. When I picked them up, I grabbed the bundle of them and failed to notice that one of the dresses was missing. When I stopped back in and told them it was missing, they searched the racks and couldn't find it. They then checked with the facility that they send the clothes out to for cleaning and they couldn't find it either. They then told me that I must have taken it home and didnt realize it. I called back later in the week to tell them that I definitely didnt take it home and they essentially accused me of lying about that fact. The woman at the front desk swore up as down that she remembered herself putting the dress in with my other clothing. Approximately two weeks later, they called me and told me that another customer had brought my dress back to their store and that it was put in their bundle by mistake. Instead of apologizing profusely and offering me a generous credit, they begrudgingly took $10 off my bill when I asked for some kind of compensation for my inconvenience. I will never go here again. They clearly have no concept of what customer service is. read more

They are way too expensive and their pricing is not posted anywhere. So it seems that they just throw out a number and that is your total that you have to pay. I paid $9.43 average for 8 items. I went there for years with no problem except high price. Last few moths, it has been a nightmare. I am express customer and get 30% Wednesday Senior discount. Every single week shirts and cleaning and shirts coma back with either n discount, or 10% discount, instead of advertised 30%. When you let them know, they either point to the 10% discount as proof of the 30%, or give a 10 % discount if there were none to begin with. Then you point again that they made a mistake, and they sometimes insist they did it tight and sometimes change it to correct discount. Either way it is time consuming and humiliating. They make you feel like you are trying to get something for nothing. I met with manager, spoke with member of family that bought the chain and nothing has changed. Can you even imagine how many people qualify for sr. discount and either don't get it, or only get a small piece of it while company continues to pull this bait and switch. I am waiting from wrong discount to be fixed from several weeks ago and every week has either zero, or wrong discount. It certainly is unethical, but it is also illegal. Accidents can happen, but every single week and at multiple locations? Please watch your pricing and check your receipts. For years, it was a very good chain. Steve Iversen read more

Extremely disappointing experience! I tried this Pilgrim Cleaners as a new customer. I dropped off one small item. A few days later, I received a confirmation email telling me that it was ready for pick up and the price. I was shocked at how much they were saying it was! I went online to check their prices but they have NO prices listed online anywhere. I then went to Clean 'n Press' website and their prices are all listed and are 50% less than Pilgrims! I responded to the email asking to double check the price and, of course, didn't get any response. Today I went to pick up the item and inquired about their pricing and asked for a list. The girl at the counter said they don't have any pricing listed at all anywhere. Really?? I informed her that their pricing was 50% more than their competitors and asked why that was. She said she thought it was because they use green cleaning technology but wasn't really sure. She said she'd go get the manager. Well, the manager didn't even have the decency to come out and speak to me! She just told the girl to give me 20% off since I was a new customer. Then the girl informed me that she didn't even charge me what it should have been in the first place...what? So it should have been even more? Never going back there again. Why pay double the price for bad customer service and the same cleaning? Awful. read more

I have used this store twice. The first time my clothes were so much better than my previous dry cleaning store that I got really excited. I then brought in an expensive pair of Eileen Fisher pants. I needed them back in 3 days and was told no problem. I was a little nervous because they were a little snug fitting, but needed them pristine for an upcoming wedding in Sonoma. I picked them up the day before leaving for Sonoma. I smelled something "off" in the car, but thought it was just something in the air. When I took the bag off at home I was overwhelmed by the smell of cigarettes on my pants. I also noticed they seemed baggy and misshapen- not the same as before. I tried them on and it was obvious that someone had WORN them!!! I called the store and their only response was an offer to reclean them and I could pick them up in a week; um, I was leaving in the morning. I emailed my complaint to the manager and have never heard back from them. WORST experience ever!!!!!!! read more

I was very displeased today when I went to pick up my clothing. I dropped off a wedding gown and a leather jacket 2 weeks ago. The pick up ticket that I was given two weeks ago said that the items would be ready today, June 10. I went to pick them up today and was told by the manager that they weren't there, and in their system they weren't due for a few more days. I pointed out the due date on my ticket, and she said "someone must have put that in wrong". She never apologized or took responsibility for her employee screwing up. She was very unhappy that I continued to ask her about this and sighed and rolled her eyes when I asked if I could speak to someone about a price adjustment. She was very non-committal, and said that no one could consider any type of price adjustment until the items were back at the site for pickup, and then "we will see if we can do anything at that time". The manager's name was Sadie, and she was not at all customer-service oriented, and I find it incredible that she didn't take any responsibility for her employee's error.
