(only 1/2 of the nurses were wearing masks in the surgical rooms and they were not on correctly) We are out of covid requirements of wearing a mask! I checked in and the 2 employees were rude and short with me. After checking in, my husband and I were told to go out and wait in the outer lobby. The outer lobby felt dirty and unprofessional. I had to wait almost an hour before being called back to get ready for my procedure. My husband stood up to go in with me and was stopped. He could not go back with me! He is always by my side and it's comforting to have him with me to keep me calm and grounded. As they were getting my ready, the nurse who was supposed to be putting in my IV missed 3 times!!!! He looked as if he had just crawled out of bed! I was taken back for the procedure and the nurses in there were just as cold as the room was! I tried staying in a positive mood but it was getting harder by the minute. When the procedure was over and I was waking up, I noticed a bandage on my arm. My procedure was for my back! During the process of my procedure the skin on my forearm was ripped back! I wish I could upload the pictures of my arm. All they did was throw on a bandage with no antibiotic and no attempt to pull the skin back in place so that I wouldn't have such a large scar. I do have thin sensitive skin and I told everyone nurse I came into contact with about it. I was sent home with just a bandaged arm. The next day and today my arm is very sore. It's like they jerked me from the procedure table back to the other table and I'm sure they were wearing gloves which was a double sword because with gloves on they had a firm grip which peeled my skin back worse. After my procedure, my husband was called back about the time my doctor was coming in. We got the report and was going to be dismissed to go home. I don't know why I didn't pull the bandage back while the doctor was standing there, a little out of it from the anesthesia. After we got home, I pulled the bandage back and was SHOCKED by what I saw as my husband was too. My husband took pictures and I went to go sleep off the anesthesia. The next day, I sent pictures to my doctors office. I received an immediate call back from the office. They asked that I come in and they would try to work the skin back into place and put sterile healing strips on it. I declined because I didn't feel up to making the hour long trip and I was used to working with sterile healing strips due to being the caretaker of my Mom when she was alive. My husband and I fixed it the best way we could but I will still have a large scare on my forearm. I WOULD NOT recommend anyone to use this facility. I have told my doctors office to NEVER book me for a procedure there ever again!

Despite multiple requests over three days, the staff did not provide her with an incentive spirometer--a simple, standard device widely recommended for pneumonia patients. It encourages slow, deep breathing to help fully inflate the lungs, loosen and clear mucus, prevent further collapse of air sacs, and support faster recovery. Medical sources (including guidelines from places like MedlinePlus, Cleveland Clinic, and respiratory therapy references) commonly advise its use in hospital settings for lung illnesses like pneumonia, particularly to aid breathing and reduce risks in elderly or bedbound patients. I had to escalate the matter to the nurse manager before one was finally provided. Compounding the issue, her assigned nurse was dismissive and somewhat rude during interactions. I recognize that hospitals face high demands, but for an elderly patient with bacterial pneumonia, basic tools like this--along with attentive, respectful care--should be standard and not require persistent family advocacy. This experience fell short of what I'd expect for vulnerable patients. If you're weighing options for yourself or a loved one needing care (especially respiratory issues), I strongly suggest considering other facilities based on what we went through. Prioritizing places with stronger emphasis on timely basics and compassionate nursing can make a real difference. Wishing your loved ones better experiences wherever care is needed.
