It's just your typical average dive bar with dartboards and pool tables. It wasn't too busy when we went because there were no games, but I was there for my friend's birthday. The bartenders were great, and the food was good. Overall, there were no major issues except for one thing. Apparently, the bar allows a random man (I forgot his name) to hang out there and harass guests. I wasn't even inside for a minute when he pulled me aside, pretending to know me. He started talking and quickly acted weird. He asked me to buy him a beer since I was getting one, and I could have bought him one too. The bartender lets this man sit at the bar and talk with patrons without doing anything to make it less awkward. Throughout the birthday party, he kept approaching me, asking me to buy him a beer. It got to the point where the birthday girl had to confront him, and then the restaurant got involved. Due to this uncomfortable situation, I hope the bar has resolved the issue and that no one else will have to face a similar problem. read more

Tried Brewlands out last night on a Friday and was pleasantly surprised how chill the vibe was! When you walk in, you're greeted by security who check your ID- they apparently also have a dress code, but nothing too crazy. We went to the bar to get set up for pool and you can also order drinks and food at that time. The price to play is around $9 an hour. Alex and another one of the super nice ladies behind the bar, took care of us the whole night and were very attentive. There were so many pool tables, so very little wait time. The food was really good and I 100% recommend! The only thing that killed the night a bit was the music. They have a Jukebox (Touch Tunes) where people could request songs. There wasn't a variety only sad, slow songs- totally killed the vibe. Would we go back again? Absolutely!!! Great fun and company! read more

Spacious pool hall with plenty of dart machines, accommodating for large groups. This place left a lot to be desired, and I think so because it's actually a dive bar. Underdressed bartenders with attitudes, slow service, overpriced basic bar food, nothing allergy friendly on the menu, dirty bathrooms, and that group of people who inevitably load the juke box with depressing rock music. Wannabe truffle fries and High Noon's seemed a bit out of their leagues here. I bet if Brewlands totally embraced their dive-y essence they'd disappoint fewer reviewers and attract more of their key demographics. read more

This is the best pool hall in Tampa. I haven't tried all of them but I will never not come here. It's a big building with over 20 pool tables and they also have large pool tables. The parking is fantastic you will always find a spot. For $40 I was able to drink two high noons play pool for two hours and have a chicken quesadilla. This is a great place to have fun play pool have drinks and watch sports on all the TVs that they have above the pool tables. Really good for big groups and the food is your typical bar food, but still really good. Had a great time tonight! I highly recommend coming here if you're in the area. read more

A few nights ago I came in before closing with some friends and was very disappointed by the service. We came in for a quick drink and the bartender that served us was very rude telling us we needed to be quick because they would be closing soon. We told her we'd be one and done and she replied with something like "well you better be". The interaction made us feel not welcomed. During the time we were there she was clearly being rude to another guest, I don't know if she was friend with them but their weren't many of us in the bar so it was very obvious how she was acting towards him as she was very loud about it. I understand that they close at 3 am and about 5 minutes before she proceeded to tell us that we needed to "get the f*ck out" from across the room. Someone that rude shouldn't be serving people that are spending money and not causing problems. The other bartender working was excellent, she was very nice and tended to us with care. I hope something can be done about the other bartender so other guests can feel welcomed because if she was acting like that that night I can imagine how she treats other guests. read more

I came here with two of my business partners as they were in the mood to shoot some pool and have some drinks. This place blew me away, nicer than I had expected, plenty of pool tables, nice long bar, good amount of seating area inside and out. The staff was very pleasant, they even had two young ladies giving out Big Wave for free in a small glass. I found the prices to be very good for the amount of drinks ordered and an hour of pool. Probably one of our favorite places and we go often. They seriously have one of the best burgers around and you definitely need to get the tots with it. I visited Brewlands on 8/19/23 and received service that has made me not want to return. I knew I wasn't stepping into a 5-star restaurant but the bartenders were extremely unprofessional, provided zero customer service, and were rude to the patrons. I was seated at the bar and viewed three employees behind the bar; two men and one woman. All three employees were constantly using horrible language during my whole visit, but most importantly, mocking patrons after they left the bar. I love the atmosphere of a casual bar or even a "hole-in-the-wall" bar but have never received as unprofessional service at any of those as I did at Brewlands this night. We waited over 8 minutes (yes, we set the timers on our phones) and then had to interrupt the bartenders personal conversation to ask for a refill. It seemed like an inconvenience to ask them for another beer so needless to say we asked for the bill as soon as we received the next drink. We will not be returning in the near future and hope this serves as something to help better Brewlands for any future patrons. read more

This is a great place for good beer & billiards! I am not a serious pool player by any means, but I love a good game and appreciate how much space they dedicate to their pool table area. They have a surprisingly large tap list and even some pretty rare bottles too....definitely a hidden gem! The staff has always been really friendly and attentive. Plus, the food is actually pretty good (for a bar). I really appreciate that they try with their food though because most bar food is just inedible. Plus, I know I stay longer drinking and playing when I have food in my belly! ;) The only complaint I've had is that I've gone a couple of times where it's been completely taken over by a tournament (they seem to hold them fairly often but hey, if you're good, there's prizes $$$!) to the point where you can't even move inside so I had to leave. I would have given 4 stars but this place is sloth slow on food orders. Second time coming. Last week it took 30 mins for nachos. And this week it took 35 mins for wings! Their "excuse" is they get slammed. I have a lifetime experience in restaurants, getting slammed isn't 35 mins on wings. If you like a clean relaxing pool hall with excellent drink selections and nice outdoor seating, this is the place for you! Their food menu falls a bit short, but the drink selection is amazing! Their bar is beautiful and they have a variety of locally brewed beers. The pool tables are all new with ample room around each one so you're not taking turns shooting your game with the players next to you. The first word out of my mouth when I walked in was "Wow!" The place is very well done and a complete upgrade from the establishment that used to be in the same space years ago. The bathrooms were also clean and it's a nonsmoking environment inside, so you can enjoy an evening of pool and cocktails without walking out smelling like an ashtray. My husband and I went here last week for an attempt at date night. Unfortunately, We didn't have a good experience. We decided to order some food & drinks before playing pool. We ordered 2 drinks, wings, and southwest egg rolls. We got our first drinks and everything was fine. Then we ordered a pitcher of beer. Unfortunately, my husband had something in his mouth after drinking the beer, it was hard and bright blue. We talked to the server about it and she was very nonchalant about it at first explaining it was a sanitizer tablet. She offered to get us a new pitcher and we explained that we didn't want a new pitcher and just wanted it removed from the bill. She removed the pitcher from the bill and then began to apologize about the inconvenience and gave us a coupon to come back. :( Also, we received our wings but I do not recommend as they tasted boiled and not fried. We also never received the egg rolls we ordered. Overall, I was hungry so I ate the wings, my husband didn't even bother and we left without playing pool because he was hungry. We wanted something to do after dinner and I found this place on yelp which is not far from my house. The reviews were good so we decided to try it out. Boy were the other reviewer's right this place is great! They have a full bar and the bartender iwas extremely friendly and helpful. She gave me a few tastes of what was on tap so I coukd make a decision. Pool is charged by the hour and you get the balls from the bartender we paid under $10 for an hour of play.. there are a lot of pool tables and it it is very clean! after we played a few games of pool we went over to the dartboard area where you need quarters to play. we played a game of cricket and then a couple of games of 301. I enjoyed my angry orchard on tap and there are a lot of beers and ciders to choose from on tap. My husband opted for a crown and seven so it is a full liquor bar. I ordered a Free Dive and said I would like to see a menu. She pours my beer, handed me a menu and, that was the last time she paid any attention to me at all. I never got any food. My order was never taken. I sat watching her walk back and forth serving regulars she knew on a first name basis. The people next to me received drink after drink. She knew them. Me, I got nothing. So happy Brewlands opened this spot right around the corner from me! I wasn't sure what to expect as the last 'pool hall' we went to left a lot to be desired... this place got it all right. When we walked in, the bartender quickly greeted us and was super friendly. We got our drinks and a pool table and off we went. Before we even began our game we were met by the server for the pool area to welcome us and make sure we didn't need anything else. She rounded frequently but not so often that it was too much. There was a pool league occupying the back, but they had their own area and there were plenty of tables for the public to use. The space between tables is more than adequate and the tables are really nice. The bar area is huge and there are several dart boards I plan on challenging my husband to on our next visit. The only thing that could have been improved on is the food... we only had the pretzel sticks with cheese but they were kinda wet and not the best (but that wasn't what we were there for anyway so no biggie) The best thing about Brewlands aside from all of the other amazing things I can say- it is CLEAN! I love that you can play pool and have a great time with friends without reeking of cigarettes when you leave. The bathrooms are spotless and I felt safe while I was there... no shady mcgradies lurking that I noticed lol. Big thumbs up for Brewlands! read more

I saw the pictures on their website but I was not prepared for the number of pool tables inside. The pretzels were great and the service was very good considering. Tiffany did a great job. The bathroom was clean and there was free ice water at the end of the bar. If I had a complaint it was that there was only one waitress taking orders in the pool table area and the lady that took payment for our tab gave my DL to my friend instead of back to me. Neither of us realized that's what happened until the next day. There was another waitress on Saturday morning that was very professional even after my hubby was mean to her.
