She was not aware of the incident as she was not there. I did find out that you really have to be very specific of what you want your dog to look like. Have a rescue that is skittish and apprehensive around strangers. Last grooming did not go well at Petsmart, so we had to find another groomer for Bear. After reading the reviews, I decided to give PinUpPets a try. Bear appears to have had good experience. She was groomed exactly as I asked, but most importantly she was calm and not shaking excessively when I picked her up. Definitely recommend even though this was our first time. Update Though Bear only gets groomed on a as needed basis due to her anxiety, her second visit seems to have gone as well as the first. All I can say is "Wow!" I love this groomer! We had used a different groomer before but suspect they were not treating our dogs well so we immediately stopped going. This groomer is awesome! We had Sarah groom our yorkie and shih-apso and they came home happy and trauma-free! She is so sweet and seems very patient and loving. She is a dog trainer, as well, so she obviously knows how to work with dogs. Pinup Pets has dog runs with water, toys and beds and there is a lot of room for the dogs to play. Also, they don't have the dogs in with big dogs like the other groomer did. Our dogs have come home super traumatized so I'm so relieved that they are doing great! I have been going to Pin Up Pets for years but lately they have been going down hill fast I have been told by numerous groomers here that my dogs are very good and sit still. With that being said, his cut was completely uneven from the ears to the body Now that my baby is older, they make me sign a waver, I'm ok with that, but they MUST assume responsibility for their negligence ! This particular visit was HORRBLE. I stressed to the groomer that he has a skin tag on top of his head, so please be careful, she responded 'of course'! Well I go to pick him up and she tells me that she cut it open and the bleeding finally stopped ! I asked for a Mohawk as I always do, and it was not at all what a Mohawk is supposed to look like, so I asked it to cut down because it was soooo high that it was flopping over. Apparently, they do not read directions. My other baby, her hair was flopping in her eyes upon pick up! Both my babies are Malteses. My lil guy was uncomfortable and crying all night and he didn't eat! Not acceptable! I am very disappointed If they were a trusted and responsible establishment, they would refund half of the cost , she offered to fix it but it's tooo short to fix and you can't fix trauma Very very sad! read more

I hesitate to take my dog any place other than my vet for a nail trim because my dog is so skittish about her nails and HATES having her paws touched. Her nails got so long I thought I'd try PinUpPets. I am beyond happy with the service and care they used with my dog. By the time I filled out the new patient form and paid my dog was done and ready to go. It was less than 5 minutes!! I loved that I didn't have to make an appointment for a nail trim/buff. When I got home from picking up my dog I noticed how unevenly his head was cut, something I had to fix, and that he shook A LOT of cut hair off in our home, leading me to believe he wasn't dried/brushed off after. Also I assumed ear cleaning is part of a full service groom, and if it isn't I know for the future because his ears are still yucky. My dog is a 70lb Sheepadoodle with a lot of fur, but after tip I paid over $130, I've never been charged anywhere close to that. He smells great and his body and legs were done very well. read more

This place is our only "go to" to take our chihuahuas for a bath and nail clip. I have been coming here for about five years now and they have been consistent which is hard to see in a service industry. They always do a great job on my dogs and are attentive to not only my dogs but me as an owner. They have gone above and beyond to get me in so I do not have to wait weeks for an appointment. She listened to what we wanted and made our handsome boy transform from Teddy Bear to a wow-looking pup. He was there for two hours between bath and cut. I was impressed as I watched hidden outside so my pup would not move as the final touches were made to his "puff." Emily at that point was refining the details with a scissor--just like a "show dog." This store is very Not accommodating. I was late with my appt for 1:30 hour and would be willing to reschedule, however this store would not let me apply the 25dollar deposit to another appointment, which is really bad customer service and greedy. Granted I was late but usually other stores would be happy to accommodate instead of being greedy and take my 25 dollar deposit. A grooming session is usually more than 1.5 hours so they are being very not accommodating. Due to this upfront attitude I will not recommend this store or go here ever again. read more

My ladybug has seen many groomers in her long lifetime. Unless we move to a very different part of town, this is the last groomer she will likely have. We are so so happy and can't imagine anyone else now. They are super careful with my old poodle with her bad hips and knees. My dog, max is an older dog that is super grumpy. A groomer at a different location was unable to finish Max due to Max being stressed. After that I was unable to find a groomer that would take him. Great experience this morning with my two cattle dogs. I was a bit skeptical due to most of the pictures being of smaller breeds, but they did an awesome job. I recently moved to Tempe with my German Shepherd! She is a 80 lbs and full of love! However, I've taken her to several places where they've called me saying that they can't clip her nails or fully brush her because she wasn't having it. I know my dog, and she is an easy going pup. So when I stumbled upon Pinup Pets I was excited and relieved! I called on a Thursday and was able to get in on Saturday! Drop off was extremely easy and I got to speak to SAMMY who was going to groom my pup! I told Sammy about the incidents I've had in the past where nail clippings and brushing have been an issue. I also told her that my pup needs cotton balls in her ears because she gets nasty ear infections. Sammy listened and told me it shouldn't be a problem at all! She also told me it should take about an hour for the deshedding package I wanted. And she wasn't kidding! It only took an hour! Normally it takes 2-3 hours to groom my pup! When I went to go pick up my pup, Sammy told me there was not a single issue. That the nail clipping and the brushing was fine! Not only where there no issues but my pup looked amazing!!!! She was shiny and fuzzy all over again! And she smelled wonderful!Her nails were finally trimmed to a great length. Her ears where clean and she even came out with the cutest bandanna!!
