Nice little shop in Poway selling smoothies and more. The shop was clean, bright and welcoming The gentleman behind the counter was pleasant and helped me order my drink. I decided to go with a Strawberry Pomegranate smoothie. It was sweet and just a little tart. The perfect drink I was craving. I love supporting locally owned businesses and I will definitely return in the future to try other smoothie flavors.

My family and I have tried a bunch of items from this place from smoothies, shakes, kids meals, dip n dots, toast, acai bowls and enjoyed them all. This family owned business is great. They are extra friendly when my kids come. There are a few tables inside and a kids area. It's a nice place to hang out. My favorite smoothie is the green smoothie: it has spinach, celery, cucumber, apple, banana and kale. It's a nice way to get more vegetables in. My favorite toast is the Nutella Nova: it has nitella, strawberry, blueberry, almond, walnut, and shredded cocunut. Nice pick ne upper . I usually like to order a milkshake or a blendded coffee to go along with this. It's between the blended Vanilla Latte or Caramel Latte mixed in with cookies. I ask for it to be thick and the cookies to be out in more towards the end. For the milkshake I ask a special request for Cookies and Cream and make it Matcha. Service has always been great! Whenever we are in the area we stop here for a nice treat.

I've been on the lookout for acai bowls recently! This acai bowl is $11, and comes with granola, banana, strawberry, blueberry, almond, peanut butter, walnut, coconut, and organic blue agave. The portion size is pretty good for $11. Something that makes this acai bowl stand out is that they have a layer of granola at the bottom, middle, and at the top. Sometimes when I'm eating acai bowls, I run out of toppings before I get near the bottom, so I appreciate how they've layered it so thoughtfully. The owner was very sweet, and checked in on us to see if we needed anything. He also spontaneously gave us samples of the acai smoothie. I like how there's a kids' area where kids can sit and color. They also sell some chocolate, jams, and spreads from Hanna's Creamery and Cafe. I really enjoyed my time here, and will be back for another acai bowl and to try some of their other offerings.

Got the Defense Up smoothie, and the young man made it fresh with real fruit. It tasted so good -- not too sweet at all. The pineapple was super refreshing and smelled amazing. Really delicious overall. A bit pricey for 24 oz- their largest size, but it's made with fresh fruit instead of powder like some other places. Plus, the service was fast and friendly. Will be back!!!

Cassie was super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We order two smoothies and got a free snack just cause. My daughter had a sweet sunrise and I ordered a defense up. They were both delicious but we both preferred the defense up. The smoothies are made from fresh fruit and a little bit of sweeter is added. This is a great place for a healthy smoothie.

Suuuuper cute little smoothie shop with a wide variety of options! FRESH fruit smoothies that look irresistible, fruit bowls (including açaí and Chamoy!), ice cream, milkshakes, Persian treats, and tea+coffee!!! The shop is very bright with good energy and vibes I'm assuming the lady and gentleman who helped me were the owners, but either way, super sweet people with excellent customer service and a homey feel :) :) they gave us several small samples of different drinks that were left over :) You can't go wrong with any of their smoothies- all extremely healthy and full of vitamins and fresh fruit that is cut up right in front of you! Can't wait to be back

Delicious smoothie joint that makes both smoothies and acai bowls. My mom ordered a mango smoothie which was one of the best mango smoothies I've had! Perfect thickness and consistency and mango flavor was sweet and fresh. I ordered the acai smoothie which was good too (wish it had a bit of a stronger acai flavor but still very refreshing) - they also gave us extra little cups so we could try each others smoothies - service was excellent and there very little wait time for smoothies to be made!

The best place to get smoothie bowls in San Diego County. The portions are extremely generous and the toppings are fresh and everything is customizable. They have a passionfruit bowl base which is heavenly. The chamoy bowl is so unique and a perfect salty sweet experience. The owners and all the staff are so friendly and sweet. Cannot recommend more! In our case, a total waste of money. We fortunately had a coupon so we got 3 different ones to try. My wife could not force herself to finish her pina colada. And both our strawberry ones lacked any real flavor and were gritty/grainy definately not smoothies. On the positive, it was a warm day and they were cold & wet. Definately not our cut of tea. Such a cute little place to get yummy smoothies! I have been here about 4 times now and have been impressed each time there! I called in for a smoothie to be picked up on my break and was able to get it right after walking in thanks to the awesome staff who are helpful there! It's a quiet place to go alone or with some friends! It even has a little kids table to keep them busy! Highly recommend going! read more

Pina Smoothies is a local gem. Menu is fantastic, prices are so good, and the folks who run the place are simply wonderful. Had a strawberry and kiwi smoothie today and loved it. Nothing added that would make it overly sweet. Some very healthy options on the menu, as well. Can't wait to come back for breakfast some time as their avocado and eggs toast will go well with a vanilla latte. Like I said, can't wait! Also, every Tuesday is $2 off smoothie! read more

I left a Yelp Review on Pina Smoothies on September 19th with regards to the rap music lyrics that I found offensive. Within two hours I received an apology from the owner. It stated that they want their customers to feel welcome and comfortable in their store. In addition, the message stated that they will address the music issue. i always come here after my PT to get a smoothie and it's delicious every time!!! the place is always clean and welcoming as well. everyone is always very friendly, when they're not too overwhelmed they're even kind enough to bring my smoothie to me (which is totally unnecessary as i dont mind walking up to the counter but it's very kind of them!) ALSO their prices are very very reasonable and they're one of the few places where i *know* they really use mainly fresh produce (rather than juices or concentrates), so i always trust coming here. highly recommend!!!!! read more

walked in expecting a normal ass smoothie shop and was pleasantly flabbergasted with the immaculate vibes and suave spunky aesthetic this place packed. The woman working skipped over me. I'm waiting for a customer to finish and she only addresses the man walking in not me as I've already been waiting inside. When I bring it up she said "oh I didn't see you there, it's not a big deal". I said I've been sitting here in plain sight I'm pregnant and didn't stand long. I made sure to sit where I can be seen it was only me here the man standing and the woman ordering before me. Even after I brought up being skipped over the woman working with glasses and blond hair was very rude. Even the man looked at me in disbelief she was only addressing him and acting as if I was invisible.I will not return simply because of the disgusting customer service. read more

I've been here a few times now and bought acai bowls. The service is very friendly, the servings are large (ate them over two days) and the quality/freshness are great. They also have several types of bowls, not just acai - mango, coconut, dragon fruit and more. It seems like a mom and pop place, not so much of a corporate feel. Firstly, this place is so cute. The decor and the all around environment is amazing. The girl who helped me, Claire, was so friendly and kind. I wasn't sure what to order, and she asked me my likes and dislikes to find the smoothie right for me. And...I loved it! I politely responded and made it clear more than once that I did not need assistance. I prefer to shop independently, and if I need help, I will ask. Despite this, the employee continued trying to engage, ignoring my clear and respectful responses. At that point, I was already feeling pressured and just wanted to check out and leave. While waiting in line, the same employee approached me again and redirected me to another register, saying he could help me there. I agreed, expecting a straightforward checkout. At that moment, I had to say: "I think my English wasn't that bad saying 'yes' after you asked if I need a bag." His response was dismissive: "Oh no, I asked if you need a cigar bag."! This interaction felt unnecessary, patronizing, and inappropriate. What should have been a simple transaction turned into an uncomfortable experience that made me question whether I was being subtly mocked or tested over something as basic as saying "yes." This happened around 3:33 PM on a Saturday. what should have been a quick stop after a long week turned into a frustrating and unwelcome experience. For clarity, the employee's name was John. I expect better from a company like Total Wine. Customers should not feel pressured while browsing, nor should they be made uncomfortable during a basic checkout interaction. This kind of behavior reflects poorly on the store and needs to be addressed seriously. I hope corporate reviews this and takes appropriate action to ensure customers are treated with respect and professionalism.

If you're not paying attention, you might end up unknowingly "donating" extra money to Total Wine. It's baffling that they don't cross-check the shelf tag with the scanned price, even after the mistake has been pointed out so many times. So take a photo of every price tag--or be prepared to "tip" them inadvertently on your way out. Also, their ID policy is asinine. If you're with your spouse and they forget their ID, even if you have yours, no alcohol purchasing for you. But if you're with a child? No problem, come right through, the purchase is yours!
