What We Ordered: * Hot Crab & Cheese Dip * Crab & Corn Chowder * New England Clam Chowder * Blackened Grouper Sandwich with Mashed Potatoes and Baked Beans * Bourbon Salmon with Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, and Coleslaw * Caesar Salad Food and Flavor: The Soups and Dip came out first, and everything was served hot, flavorful, and delicious. Our main dishes arrived shortly afterward. My blackened Grouper Sandwich was amazing, especially with the Mashed Potatoes and Baked Beans. My wife's Bourbon Salmon was simply the best Salmon we have had in this area. The Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans were excellent, and the Coleslaw was on another level--absolutely fantastic. Our friend's Caesar Salad filled the plate, tasted fresh, and had dressing that was spot on. Service and Hospitality: The food was excellent, and Dorlina's service was outstanding. Janet the Manager also stopped by to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. When we asked for extra Bourbon Sauce for my wife's Salmon, she brought it back right away, even though she was busy. Kudos to Pinchers for great management and great service. A Special Birthday Surprise: Because it was my birthday, the team surprised me with a slice of Key Lime Pie topped with a large sparkler. It was a fun and memorable way to end the meal. We met my husband's granddaughter and her 4 boys here for dinner. Luckily the restaurant is used to hosting large parties and had plenty of big tables for groups. Another plus for coming here with kids is that they eat free for every paying adult (I think there's a price amount but not sure), so three of the kids ate free. The children's menu is pretty boring, however. It's basically hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken fingers...Don't you wish they had some more fish options? Another plus factor is that it's a casual noisy place. No dress code -- so we saw a bit of everything from daisy dukes to overalls. And it was a bit loud so no worries about the kids disturbing the other diners. Service alone here warrants four stars. David was patient with all the special requests and numerous drink refills, etc etc. Kudos! My husband and I each had gulf oysters to start. He had a half dozen raw and one of the kids even tried one! I had a half dozen steamed. The oysters were very good. For entrees, I had their (one) softshell dinner. I got it sautéed and did green beans twice for my side. The softshell crab was good but very small. My husband just had a shrimp cocktail. Fresh and nice sized shrimp. His grand daughter and one of the kids shared the Alaskan crab special. It was rather skimpy for the price. And since they were still hungry, they added on a shrimp cocktail. The other kids did a hot dog, chicken fingers, and a burger. They came with fries -- cute rounds of fried potatoes with smiley faces. For dessert, we sampled the carrot cake, the chocolate cake, and the key lime pie. The dessert portions were huge (and priced to match) but well worth it. They took most of the desserts home. Family dinner here at Pincher's tonight, where Kids eat free, (from limited kid friendly menu). Also Happy Hour, all day every day. The kids enjoyed looking at the boats out the large picture windows. Lots of lemonade and soda refills while waiting on our food. This is my go-to seafood spot in Fort Myers. Every time I'm here I come with family to have an amazing seafood dinner. Always seated quickly, the table has brown paper on it (which, BONUS!!! The hostess was really nice and attentive, we were sat pretty quick. Our server, Carla, was very nice and attentive. She asked us multiple times if we were okay, how was our food, and gave us refills without asking. Unfortunately our food was very very bad. The conch fritters and the clam chowder and the side of baked beans were the only thing that were good. The burger was super salty, had our party try it as well and yes they also thought the burger was salty. The fries were brought out cold as hell as well. My dad is a big fish guy and he said it was the saddest fish he has eaten. It was salty, super tiny and just wanna not good at all. I got the fried fish and chips with the green beans. The green beans and the fries were good but the fish was hmm more batter than actual fish. Yes we got two big pieces but really wasn't much flavor. Food here is good. Service was fast and friendly. We came for lunch. It was very nice and quiet. I can see how it would get louder in the evenings-with 2 for 1 drinks. There's even a bucket drink for $19. We had conch fitters and gator bites for apps. We got two grouper sandwiches and the kids ate free (cheeseburger and popcorn shrimp). The entire meal was $100. The almost exact same meal was $193 at another restaurant on Sanibel Island, and Pinchers's food was much better. We had a big group of eight people, or four couples if you prefer your math. It was a rainy late afternoon, and we didn't need reservations. I haven't been to a Pincers in ages. I have no idea why I have not gone. But this Pincers really hit the mark. They had fresh fish, crab legs, oysters, and grouper dip. The grouper dip had a nice kick to it that really set it apart from the rest of the fish dips I have eaten. Mrs. K. had their fish sandwich "TONY'S BIG FISH SANDWICH." The filler seemed non existent. Then we had stone crab with a mustard which didn't disappoint. Then we topped it off with shrimp cocktail. The shrimp was of good size cooked perfectly. Pinchers was a hit-went twice in one week! TBH, going in I thought it was going to be a run of the mill tourist spot and I was wrong. Fish was so fresh and delicious! Stone crab claws were great, too. Key lime pie was great and one of the few places in the area that have the graham cracker crust-do many places put nuts in the crust now and we have nut allergies I our big family so we enjoyed it. Service was quick and friendly The conch fritters were fresh and the sauce made it even more delicious. The fish and chips is a great deal for the price, you get so much grouper and 2 sides of your choosing. I got the soft shell crab dinner, which honestly was way too salty - I wish I had gone for the fish and chips dish that my parents ordered. There is a little sticker that advertises the restaurant's fresh greens - they're actually very fresh, plump and seasoned with a lot of garlic. One tip I wish we knew before coming was the amount of fries we received on each of our dishes - there was way too much for any of us to finish. Stopped in after an amazing day at Fort Meyers Beach. Sat at the bar and ate. They bring you a big piece of paper to put under your food. Cool idea. The young lady working the bar was great. They had 2 for 1 drinks, kids eats free and Happy hour food specials. I got the steamed oysters and the fish dinner. Both were really good. They make in house cut fries and they give you a ton of them. I like my fries a little cruncher than these came out, but they weren't terrible. Their coke slaw is fantastic! Creamy and a little sweet. My wife got the coconut shrimp and she got so many big shrimp that she couldn't finish them. I'm not sure if they were frozen or fresh, my wife thought frozen. Over all we loved our experience here. Good food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Thanks for a great experience. I stopped by here a couple of Wednesdays ago with my family for lunch. We had driven by Pinchers a number of times throughout our vacation but what really drew us in was the fact that kids eat free. The inside of Pinchers is actually quite nice with vaulted ceilings and many different types of fish up in the rafters. Those fish are labeled too and so you can see what you are eating or what you can catch in Florida. We ended up being seated near a window with a view overlooking Pelican Bay. For lunch on this day I decided to go with a blackened gulf grouper sandwich and then chose the fresh cut French fries and rice as my sides. My wife had the shrimp tacos while my twins shared popcorn shrimp and butter noodle meals both with fruit cups. First off my twins loved the fruit cups with their lunch and dug into the popcorn shrimp and buttered noodles as well. The noodles portion itself was pretty massive and so it worked for both lunch and dinner for us. Then my sandwich was decent as I liked the blackened spices on it. It was a bit fishy though (my father in law thought the same about his grouper tacos). My fresh cut fries were definitely the star of my meal as they had a sweet and salty seasoning on them and were cooked nicely. The bottom line for me is that I would likely stop back here again in the future. While I wasn't a fan of the taste of my fish, the rest of our food was good and our kids eating free was a bonus too. read more

Four of us went to eat this evening, first time at this location. They had a hog fish special. I was excited until it came out. $32 for two very thin and small pieces of fish. Definitely not Hog Fish. Hog Fish is my favorite fish. I sent it back after talking to the waiter. He said that many people think that hog fish tastes like red snapper so maybe I was confused. He agreed to take it back and exchange it for Grouper. It was much better than the first fish they tried to pass off as Hog Fish. Still, one piece of Grouper for $30. Too much $$. We had never been to Pinchers before so we were inquiring about the two for one and my husband asked about what well vodka they used. After being told he ordered a cranberry with the well vodka and I had a whiskey sour. After we finished our first, I asked about our 2nd one since it was two for one and the bartender stated those were not included in happy hour. She pointed out mine was ordered from inside the drink menu and not on the front cover so it didn't count.
