I hate this place. I dread coming here every time because they struggle to run a successful operation. One time I think they failed to clean the suction tube for cleaning and I know this because it smelled like horse sh*t. Punctuality is something that doesn't exist here; I've waited an hour for an appointment at 9 in the morning. The staff have personal issues they need to work on instead of projecting passive aggression due to the opinions they have formulated in their head based on what a person looks like. You can't decipher demeanor just through physical appearance. My appt was at 4pm and 4:15 as I have two kids, they said they would not see my kids because they were overbooked! THE ABSOLUTE WORST! They schedule your appointment, then chronically cancel your appointment ( via "their system"). Despite the fact that you show proof that you confirmed your appointment, they fail to communicate with the patient that they canceled you out. Sadly, even the endodontist was complaining about this location. She had to do everything herself because there was only one tech/assistant. This is by far the worst dentist office I've been to in over 50 years. Do not sign the form they give you stating if your insurance does not cover an acceptable amount they want you to pay the rest. The doctor was put on the phone (after being hung up on by the rude receptionist) and ask me to get preauthorization. I told her I just hung up with the provider and two people said it was covered up to their agreed amount. I stated I would call them back and get documented proof of coverage. Ms. Lee then immediately told me I could go somewhere else and then hung up on me. I was respectful at all times. They are scammers to our community taking advantage of those who don't know their rights. Believe the post about the Maryland Ave location. They are rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. My kids have been a patient of this practice for years. Lately, there have been significant scheduling issues. My son has been scheduled wrong or rescheduled; at this point, it's time to say goodbye. I do not know what happened to the service after the name change but it has definitely gone downhill. My son has been rescheduled so many times at short notice. Definitely a huge waste of time. My son appointment with the orthodontist for braces was at 9am today. We arrived at 8:46am. We waited a little longer than an hour in the waiting area. We when finally got to the back, and waited even longer. They didn't have anything setup properly, didn't have most tools for the appointment and then practically at the end of the appointment we were told that we had to wait an additional 3-4 weeks in order to get brackets and etc. MY PATIENCE IS WEARING THIN WITH THIS PLACE!!!! I was emailed and texted multiple times to confirm my appointment then received a text 90 min before the appointment to be told it was cancelled. I called the office to confirm it was cancelled and then told it was NOT and to come in. After 2 full hours of waiting I was told the doctor wasn't even in the office- not acceptable. If The office has horrible wait times, completely unorganized, it's like a cattle drive in the place. I love Kool smiles/Pine dentistry my children normally go to your Hechinger location. Your district height's location had a sooner appointment. I was expecting the same type of care and treatment that my family receive at that location. This is a little dishearten to write. My very first visit time at your District height's location started off smooth until one of your dental hygienist questioned my 17yr told daughter about her vaccination status. I asked her to stopped and clean my daughter teeth, this isn't what we came here for. Yet she continued until I elevated my voice and demanded that she stop. I reported the incident to patient satisfaction on 08/06/2021 the very next day and was told someone would get back to me. It's almost a month later and no one has called me. I called to the office and even visited on 08/30/2021 and was told by the front desk that the manager sent it to her district manager. Yet no one has called. There are children under the age of 12 who can't get vaccinated and there are people who can't get vaccinated due to allergies. For your staff member to question (almost like she's reprimanding) my daughter is very unprofessional and unacceptable. For management and patient satisfaction to treat this situation so lightly is very unprofessional and dishearten. Your company need classes in customer care and sensitivity training. read more

Pine Dentist & Braces originally was Kool Smile. Not to mention this place has the poorest wait time to be seen. And if you 15 min late they will refuse to see you and want you to reschedule. But please listen to this one ... I have been coming to this office with my granddaughter for 7 years. This one time after, multiple call and texting, " Are you coming in for 1 Pine appointment schedule today....., now just to let you know they had previously did multiple fillings and put braces on her teeth. She was schedule 09/11/2019 for filling on her front tooth due to having her braces on she encounter a Cavity. Our appointment time was 8:00 am. We sit and wait for 1hr and 20 minutes before being called in the back. The young lady "Bria" that was assisting her, ask me was I the mother, I said I am the Grandmother and I have been bringing her here for some time now and me and my husband has custody of her. Now to remind you for SEVEN years, i have been signing consent form for my grandchild sitting in with her for cleaning, getting her braces and everything from this place. And this one time I was questioned. I told "Bria" that this is Not my first time here and that most of the people work here knows who I am. Ms. Bria response was "I am just doing my job" and she walked out of the room. I assumed she must of when out to verify with another worker. The other co-worker "Ilene" peak her head in the doorway whispering to Bria, that she didn't see anything in the file. At this time I didnt know what was going on. They then return and said that is her mother or father had to sign a consent form for her to be seen. I explained to them that she is in my custody. Her mother lives in Baltimore and Dad I have no idea. I also explained to them that i raised her since she was 2 months old and now she is 16. I've been bringing my granddaughter there since she was 10 years old. Now all of the sudden they can't complete her procedure. They asked me could I contact the mother and if they could email her the consent form to sign it and then they could move forward with the procedure. I contact he mother and told her what was going on she gave them email to give them. And then they came back and said that the mother or the father has to be in person. At this time I was getting frustrated and angry, because I feel like if this was a problem than why was'nt I asked for this information 7 freaky years ago. I Than asked to speak to the manager. The Manager" Princess Washington" Approach me and said unfortunately they could not proceed without the parents, again i had to explain myself Again. She then told me if I can bring back the paper showing that we has custody of my grandchild then they could continue. I said okay, but still I would like to request all of the documents that I've sign for her to be treated here and her records. They denied giving it t me. I was then told that the only one could get the document is the mother or father. I do not agree with that, why would someone else be allow to received documents that I've sign with my signature. Because of all the years they treated my granddaughter and she is stuck with braces on her teeth and they are now refusing her treatment, and I got to find another Dentist office that will take over what they've started. I was told not to go to this place, but I wanted to make my own judgment. That was a horrible, horrible mistake. We scheduled the appointment almost 2 months in advance and we finally arrived we were greeted with rudeness and waited about an hour before we were called. When we got to the back it looked like a dental school with 10 chairs all in one room there was not a 6ft apart space and the chair myI was warned efore I went to this place, but I decided to give them a chance. Hor child sat in was broken and she got her arm and finger pinched. W were told that my oldest child needed two cavities and that several of her teeth were sealed(which was untrue) my daughters teeth were already sealed. My youngest daughter (6) was told that she had 8 cavaties and she was just at the dentist 6 months prior. The atmosphere was just unwelcoming.
