Went there for lunch and was shocked by their prices. For a basic wrap, fries and cup of coffee was`over $30 w/o tip! Their wrap for ~$17 includes nothing but a dab of cole slaw. If you want a small order of fries it is $9 and coffee is $4.50! This is outrageous! This place just charged me $5.36 for a plain bagel with cream cheese. A plain bagel. No smoked salmon, no truffle oil, not even a tomato slice--just a dry, basic bagel and a smear of cream cheese. This is the only place that I know of in southern CT where you can get a good pastrami sandwich. While on the pricey side, its pretty good. Service is fast, but they definitely don't rush you to turn the tables over. Throughout the years, the sandwich has gotten a bit slimmer, but still a generous portion. We ordered the classics: Roast Turkey on Pumpernickel and Pastrami on seeded rye. WHAT A MISTAKE!!. The turkey was sliced nicely, but all the edges of the meat had a fatty grizzle that was hard to chew, and I had to literally throw away 1/3 of the pastrami since it contained so much fat and grizzle. I went here with a large group of family. We were seated promptly at a table providing plenty of room for all of us. The restaurant wasn't crowded and the waiter was very attentive and friendly. I really like this place. I've ordered 3x from there.They're polite, efficient and the food is always good. The third time I ordered, I got a crepe with fruit and Nutella/whipped cream. However, what I got was a super thick disgusting crepes with 20 blue berries, maybe 1/3 of a banana and probably 2-3 strawberries, they forgot to add the whipped cream and Nutella so it was super dry. I've been going here since I was a kid. While the inside has not changed at all, the prices certainly have. I will warn you that this is on the pricier side for a deli. They have a huge selection but be prepared to pay. We stopped on our way to Newark for dinner. The service was prompt and fast, the food was good and we were full when we left. As you can see in the pictures, the sandwiches were large and full of meat. I gave this place 3 stays due to the prices. This was a treat for us stopping here since we don't live in the area. The few positives are that everything is ultra fresh & well displayed, a broad variety of retail, they roast their own turkey breast, and carry many of the expected and familiar deli products we all love, and it's immaculate.
