Everything about this small town restaurant is great. When you walk in you are greeted with smiles and greetings. The menu is typical of a Coney Island restaurant and they serve breakfast all day. I ordered a vegetable egg white omelette with tomato slices instead of hash browns. It was cooked perfectly and had the perfect amount of vegetables and cheese. Now this may not seem important to some people,but I like my rye toast lightly browned and not burnt. You have no idea how often my toast comes to the table burnt. But this restaurant made my toast exactly the way I like it. That's why I took a separate picture of my toast !!! I was so happy that it was made correctly!! My friend ordered biscuits and gravy and the gravy was very white and looked nice and thick (look at the picture). My friend said it tasted awesome. The prices were very reasonable and service was quick. It's worth stopping here if you are in Dryden!! read more

I am dumbfounded. We got a carry out breakfast today. The hash browns were so hot they melted the container. This was brought to their attention and they placed the melted container in another container. I cannot speak for others but I prefer potatoes in my hash browns not benzene and styrene. I called to complain and when I asked the person who answered the phone if they would eat potatoes which had styrofoam melted in it I got a "well thats a hard one". It may be a hard one for them but not for me. Styrofoam contains benzene and styrene which are both known carcinogens. The use of these containers for food has been debated because these chemicals can leach onto the food where they are then consumed. Thus consuming food which has been physically combined with melted styrafoam can result is serious illness. I would think common sense would tell most not to eat styrfoam. Given the response of Main Street Coney I am guessing it is not as common as one would hope. read more

This restaurant is a bit off the beaten track but worth a visit. It's not near our home but whenever we are traveling in the area we try to stop in. Portions are huge, prices reasonable and the staff friendly and competent. I particularly enjoy their specials, especially the Chicken Pot Pie. I usually get three meals out of one serving! All in all, a great small town diner. read more

This dirty diner is awesome they have some creative items on the menu that don't disappoint. Be prepared if you order something buffalo- they are not shy with the application of sauce. I had the buffalo Mac n cheese and the little me had the buffalo chicken wrap we polished off lots of water and some delicious chili cheese fries with this amazing diner meal. This is my favorite place to eat in Dryden! Literally the best chicken omelette on earth!! We order food to many weekends. My husband goes to pick it up and the gals there are super sweet to him while he's waiting. He drinks lots of ice tea lol. So glad this little gem exists in our town. This is one of my favorite diners. The food's pretty good, portions are large, it's clean, and the service is good. I have to give it a 5 star - in the Diner Category. It's the king of diners! I've eaten here countless times and am happy to see their business is doing well. It get's pretty busy there at times and you have to wait for a table, but the wait is usually not very long. The menu is similar to other diners with Coney's, burgers, gyros, hot dinner plates, and a nice variety of sandwiches. I like their daily specials which might include fish/chips, perch, lasagna, and all sorts of things. It's all pretty good. Good, all around diner that servers great breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Carry out is available too. They are closed Sundays, FYI. Which is cool :) read more

I have been here a few times now for breakfast. Sometimes the place is packed and we have to wait a few minutes for a table... But well worth it. They have different specials every day, last time I got the Irish omelette and it was delicious! The servers are always so nice and on top of everything. The prices are cheap for the huge portions. The wife and I have been enjoying the food and service at this restaurant for nearly five years. You never know what the crowd size will be like but we've always waited if it was packed, and that's not something we do very often. Been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We think they have outstanding fish and chips. Portions are ample and the wait staff is very good. Really nice country restaurant where farmers meet to eat and have coffee, you see the Chief of the Police, "hello's abound". They do very well. read more

Great little place. I took my son for dinner and the waitress was friendly, prompt and attentive. The other waitress who may have been a manager was also attentive and helpful. My son had a hotdog & fries and I had a country skillet. Food came out quick was hot and our condiments where clean no sticky bottles. We also had a coke & chocolate milk. The bill was still under $15. For the quality of food, service and cleanliness it was well worth it. We will be back. read more

Cannot believe we lived in Almont all of these years and didn't know about this place. Forget Maria's for breakfast...just drive 4 more miles to this great place...everything is homemade from their hash to their gravy...eggs are fresh and fluffy...amazing potatoes...best breakfast I've had in years...and only a few miles away...and when you walk in everyone is smiling...the place is clean and updated...a true pleasure...Thank you Mobile gas station lady for recommending this great place! Everyone loves a good coney dog, especially those of us who grew up in the suburbs of Detroit. Any coney island restaurant worth stopping into- better have a few staples down pat. Coney Dogs and Coney Specials featuring Dearborn brand hot dogs give a good first impression and they are being served with the absolute best french fries in Lapeer County. Breakfast? Fast and furious, my friend... giant omelettes, nice portion of hashbrowns, HOT toast, and coffee that is always fresh. French toast, pancakes, all top notch. The burgers are great, my personal favorite is the Patty Melt- always done right, Loose Hamburger with heavy chili... OMG! (Oh Mighty Good) I am told the Fish and Chips dinner and the Tuna Melts are great... Over and over, we bring friends and family to this little place to have a meal- well worth the price.
