I never write reviews but I need to on The Pine Ridge in! We had a wonderful stay. I've stayed here plenty of times and it's my favorite. We even left a rolex and it was turned in safely. Can't say enough good things about this place! Clean, comfortable, love the bed and bedding..... The staff is very friendly, it's dog friendly too!! The breakfast staff person from Klamath falls was so nice and so was the front desk guy from Saudie Arabia. I would never stay any place else! Love the new towels too! read more

Think twice about booking here, they really don't care about their customers. The air conditioning went out in this hotel the day or day before we got there. Instead of being up front and telling all their guests they made us all SUFFER. It was 78 degrees in our room that night, we got about 3-4 hours of sleep. When we complained they still didn't tell us that the air was out in the whole hotel just our room. Who was directing this deception. So later that day they offered us a room with air conditioning. We moved from a river view room to a parking lot room. Guess what...... No air conditioning. They gave us a portable air conditioner that if we left it on we wouldn't get any sleep cause of the noise it made. During our 2 days of complaining on deaf ears and being told we would be compensated ( but what they never said) we were told to call the manager. She said herself could have slept with the portable air conditioner cause noise didn't bother her. She also comp us $100. Oh how generous of her when the room was over 200 per night. They should have closed the hotel and got us all other rooms in another hotel. They should have comp us at least one night but perhaps 2 or better yet a gift card to come back with a stay on them. We suffered at the hands of Pine Ridge Inn and they didn't Really care. Their manager was unprofessional , cold and uncaring and unwilling to make things wright. When we left on the 3 rd day it still wasn't fixed. By the way it was in the 90's and they had no air conditioning . Time for a unit the works? read more

This is my first night here and I am NOT a happy camper. First off-- if you're from out of area and you've never been to Bend, OR before, just be aware that Google maps has absolutely no idea where this hotel is (and will send you on a wild goose chase through many charming roundabouts). If you're lucky enough to find a brown sign on a seemingly random corner indicating you've reached the Pine Ridge Inn, it's also helpful information to know that you need to turn right at that sign and look for a black tarmac path which leads you about a quarter mile to the actual hotel-- and this is the ONLY entry to the hotel (of course, I discovered all of this after staring longingly at the hotel from way around on the other side of a street which does not allow hotel access because-- of course-- you can only access the hotel through this very poorly marked remote pathway). I'm here for business and my company booked my room here through Priceline. Upon checkin (which again was a wild goose chase trying to find out which door is the main entrance), I was assigned a first floor room. As a single female traveler, first floor rooms make me leery, so I like to scope them out first. The first thing I noticed when I entered my room was a door that opens up to the parking lot. THE PARKING LOT. THE PARKING LOT. THE PARKING LOT. (Just let that sink in.) I asked the front desk attendant if any second floor rooms were available, and they're all booked for the week. I asked if I could at least have a first floor room with a door that does not open to the parking lot (!!!), and it turns out all of those are booked too. But don't worry-- if you're a criminal reading this review and planning to come into my room tonight, I've moved the boulder of a pull-out couch behind the door to block it. Finally, after FINALLY feeling like I could sort of relax, I decided to enjoy some of the free wifi. Unfortunately, it did not want to cooperate-- I think a glacier moves faster than the wifi connection in my room (which is unfortunate, considering my boss is expecting me to be pumping out emails to clients right now and is going to wonder why it looks like I'm slacking off....) I asked the front desk where the router is, and she told me it's upstairs. So I am writing this Yelp review from the upstairs sitting area, which is clear across the hotel from my actual room and pretty much the ONLY place I've been able to connect to ANY sort of internet here. I would eat my left arm to have a room across the street at the Hilton Garden Inn right now. read more

I cannot say enough about this wonderful little hotel! The staff was so friendly and helpful. Warm cookies in the evening. Local beer on arrival. Walking distance to the Les Schwab Amphitheater and great restaurants. Room was super clean and fireplace was a bonus. And being from Los Angeles, my daughter and I were thrilled to look out our patio and see a family of deer snacking on crabapples from the tree in front of our room! But the biggest treat of all was the breakfast - far and away the very best hotel breakfast spread I have ever seen with local coffee, and pastries and homemade granola and everything you could possibly want all in a lovely room overlooking the river and sunrise! We were only there for one night but I will be looking for any opportunity to go back - highly recommend! read more

Very nice hotel, with great views available. Their painter must have been drunk considering the overlapping lines everywhere in our deluxe king room. Bring your own music because they furnish the room with some chinese alarm clock radio and there isn't any music on the tele. I don't think it is fairly priced, a bit high considering their lack of attention to detail. read more

We went two nights at the Pine Ridge Inn. We had a suite on the second floor overlooking the Deschutes River. Due to the many pine trees between the inn and the river the view was obstructed. The suite was well equipped and roomy. The shower was rather small. The inn is in a very good location. Walking down to the river is five minutes. You can walk to the mill district in less than 30 minutes and walking to downtown is no more than 45 minutes. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. A continental breakfast is included, but don't set your expectations too high. It is not bad, but also nothing special. The choices are rather limited. The breakfast room is small. We had the pleasure one morning to share our breakfast with a crying baby that threw the food around and left the table and adjacent space a real mess. Overall a nice place to stay. read more

It is hard for me to even give this a two star but I will because of the cleanliness of the rooms and the condition of the building. What my wife and I really disliked about this place was, the beds were very uncomfortable and hard, we did not get a good nights sleep. The shower was more like a dribble instead of a shower. I felt sorry for my wife trying to wash her hair, it was hard enough for me to get the shampoo out of my hair. I paid extra for the king suite with a River view, but not much of a view of the river since the trees block the view. I also told the front desk that I will be paying with cash for the room. I did have to give a credit card, which is normal practice, but when I was leaving they already charged my card before I could pay them the cash for the room. When I commented about this they seemed like it would've been a huge inconvenience for them to credit my card and for me to pay in cash. We will not be coming back because there are a lot of other choices in the Bend area that are much better. I travel to Bend all the time for business and will not be coming back here. If you decide to stay here I would suggest you check the beds and make sure the shower works. read more

In a word, mediocre. Not horrible, but certainly not great. The mattress was too small for the frame, so that was weird. The lighting was extremely poor -making it really hard to get ready in the morning. The water pressure was wimpy at best. No USB ports for charging and not too many outlets. I had to unplug the alarm clock to charge my phone. If you are looking for a place to sleep and nothing else, it was ok. No gym or pool, but you could pay for a pass to a local gym. For the price, it was very disappointing and not worth the cost, especially with the Hilton Hampton Inn being in the same range and offering so much more. (Hampton Inn was full and did have a Pool, gym, snack bar, wine/beer, friendly staff and are reasonably priced). Also, I would have shared this feedback with the staff and not here, if the staff would have asked me how my stay was or even made eye contact. read more

I did a spontaneous stop in Bend this weekend and stayed at Pine Ridge, sort of at random. The place was a nice surprise for my short stay. The people at the desk were friendly, the room was clean and very comfortable. Everything just sort of worked, which is refreshing at a hotel. A bottle of water, a couple of fresh cookies, free internet, a decent breakfast as part of the deal... the little things make me happy. The location's quiet, and there's a decent brewpub right across the street for dinner. I'd definitely stay there again next time I need to get away to Bend for a couple of days. read more

My wife and I stay at the Pine Ridge Inn whenever we visit Bend. However, I'm sorry to say, after this last trip we won't be returning. The glory days are gone. Gone are the days of the complimentary wine and beer. Now you get a glass of wine on the night of your choosing. Cheese and crackers with the wine? Sorry. They no longer do that. Fresh cookies each night? Nope. Computer for guests? Not anymore. Gone. Sigh. I can't keep going. It's too painful.... It was all the little things at The Pine Ridge that added up to a great experience, but, unfortunately, it is now under new ownership and it is definitely not for the better. If you have stayed at the Pine Ridge Inn in years past, you may want to stay elsewhere. The nostalgia that we had for the place was killed bit by bit as we discovered what it had become. The price is the same, but the experience is definitely not. We will miss you Pine Ridge Inn. RIP. read more

I absolutely love this place! The hotel is overlooking a canyon with a river, and it's in a beautiful part of town. I stayed in the Canyon View Suite and it was beautiful, clean, and quiet. My room's balcony overlooked the canyon and river. I wish I could have spent more time on the balcony. I have stayed in a lot of nice hotels over the years, and this is one of my favorites. The staff is what makes this hotel really shine. They are extremely friendly and helpful. They know the area well, and were constantly suggesting things to do around Bend (both in town, and up in the mountains.) I'll definitely stay here again. You can't go wrong with Pine Ridge Inn. read more

Great value - comfortable and cute with lots of amenities and great location. Lovely view of the Deschutes and access to the trails. My colleague and I stayed here for a work trip and the staff treated us sweetly. Tricky location. Call for directions even if you have a GPS. No in room coffee maker but they will bring you one. Beautiful view overlooking the Deschutes River. Cool patio. Quick getaway to Bend, spoiled by a subpar hotel. We arrived the first night to a room that smelled like someone broke a full bottle of cologne. Hotel staff didn't care and didn't offer to make it right. Moved to their largest suite for the next two nights as planned and although the room was spacious it's not worth the $300+/night they charge due to the poor service and dated room. Coffee and breakfast was more of the same lackluster effort. Skip this hotel and use your money wisely at a better place. read more

TERRIBLE BEDS! They had to move us to 3 rooms because of broken beds or mattresses that had a deep valley in the center. This spot used to be lovely, but no longer. The attitude of hospitality of the original owners has been replaced with mean-spiritedness. They no longer prepare breakfast, but do put out some yogurts, hard boiled eggs, and cheap pastry. They offered us a comp room for our next stay. When we tried to use it, they told us they changed computer systems and had no records. read more

I read the reviews on this app and wonder; If these guests only knew what the employees go through daily. They are subject to verbal abuse from management. They are required to complete tasks that are clearly not in their job scope. Including, but not limited to, shoveling knee deep snow while wearing house shoes, which they are required to wear. Not a single thought is given to their individual physical capabilities. There are more humane places to stay. If you do choose to stay, keep in mind, the person checking you in with a smile, just shoveled the path you walked in on. read more

Our canyon view suite room was perfect for our trip through Bend, OR. The rooms are incredibly spacious with a sunken living room, fireplace, outdoor patio furniture overlooking the river - all at a very fair price. The beds were comfortable as well. Although there were minor details that needed attention (some paint near the door, etc.) we were impressed with the value and our overall stay here. Certainly recommend for a night or two. read more

The staff was so helpful when I needed medical attention, directing me to the right place, and seeing to my comfort when I was back at the inn. The dining staff was also very accommodating and breakfast, plus the yogurt parfait were so good. read more

First of all if this review was based on just the employees at Pine Ridge Inn I would have given them 4 1/2 stars but unfortunately it is not. When we called and then went into the inn both employees at the desk were very efficient and nice. They were trying to be accommodating for us as we just dropped in to see if they had a room for 5 days. They did but we had to move two nights so they reduced the price of the room . The room we got had one bedroom and a murphy bed in the living area. The front desk person assured us that the mattress on the murphy bed was comfortable. He also told us that we would receive a complimentary drink upon check in and that they had a continental breakfast. We left until we could actually check in and when we did there was a new person at the front desk and she just smiled and did not offer the complimentary drink. We went up to our room and it was very nice, dark but nice. The bathroom is very large and actually has separate sinks but the lighting is absolutely dark and dim. Had to put my makeup on in the living area near the windows. Pulled down the murphy bed and the mattress sank down to about 2 inches and was worse in the middle........ Fortunately we had bought with us a 3" memory gel form mattress that we then had to cart up the stairs to our room. This helped a little but still rolled into the middle of the bed. The next morning I woke up with a really bad head ache and decided that a nice bath in the jetted tub would help. My husband ran the water and I got in. Adjusted the jets and sat back to relax. A few minutes later I looked around and noticed a black greasy line around the tub. Grease from the jets!!!!!! This just grossed me out and I jumped out of the tub immediately. I got right into the shower and had to scrub the grease off of me. This really upset me horribly. Needed coffee and went to the coffeemaker to make some and the coffeemaker didn't work. Really???? Light in the mirror in the bathroom didn't work either. The breakfast is nothing more that a very, very small continental breakfast. Small fruit selection, muffins and granola. The Pine Ridge Inn touts themselves as a boutique hotel. This place is far from a boutique hotel. It is old and over priced for what you get. We have stayed in boutique hotels in Mexico and Seattle and have never had a problem at all. So because of the murphy bed and tub issue we decided that we did not want to stay here any more. I went to the car and my husband went to the front desk to tell them about the tub problem. I took pictures with my phone and he showed the person at the front desk the grease line. He said that this person was very nice and reduced our room rate for that night by 10%. My fault was not going to the front counter myself and complaining because $30 off an already overpriced room did not make up for the stress and complete uncomfortable feeling I got when I saw the grease. We ended up going to a much nicer and less expensive hotel. I really feel bad about this review because I had such high hopes for this place. It is on a cliff over looking the river and in a nice wooded area. Other than the one girl at the front counter everyone else including housekeeping were very friendly, nice and accommodating. read more

On February 23rd we went to Bend for a wedding. We stayed at the Pine Ridge Inn. This was, without a doubt, the cleanest place we have ever stayed. Even if you tried, you wouldn't have been able to find a speck of dust anywhere. We had a great view if you we're on the creek side, but not so good on the street side. We had a free breakfast with our stay. They offered sweet rolls, oatmeal, yogurt parfaits, fruit, sausage, etc. everything was good except for the sausage. Oh my gosh, it was like a slab of rubber. I put my fork up to it to cut and couldn't even push it through to cut and the flavor was, well, there wasn't any. Otherwise it was a great place to go. A bit on the expensive side but it was worth it. I would definitely go there again. read more
