This was my first fish fry and I have thought about it countless times since. I may be biased because it's the only fish fry I've ever been to or experienced but I'm already thinking about coming back. We did have to wait about an hour. But we got delicious cocktails while we waited. A lot of other families who were waiting were smart and brought games with them. It was so worth the wait. Every single food item was delicious. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was electric and so community oriented. Like I said, I can't wait to go back!

If you want fish fry on a Friday night, pine ridge is one of the best in the area (and we have tried numerous over the years). You will wait, so be prepared. Stop and put your name in and then get some drinks and enjoy the outside while you wait. They have really good house cocktails that are always available and a good selection of beer. The fish comes fried or broiled with fries or baked potato. The fish fry also comes with fried chicken, fried fritters and coleslaw (with cranberry's in it, the best)! Also, a nice glass of blush wine! For the price, it's a great deal! We come every year that we are up at the cabin and have taken many guests here too! Thanks for the memories pine ridge!

If you are up North this is a must do. The atmosphere is good, and the food is better. Quite possibly the best fish fry I've ever been to.

Great place. Worth the trip. Wait for a table wasn't terribly long. Classic Northern Wisconsin Fish Fry. Cold beers and strong drinks.

Occasion: Lunch and some sporting clays…read more If you wake up one day and think to yourself: "where can I go to have lunch, get up close and personal with a live pheasant, and shoot at sporting clays?", this is your place! Most who know me know that I'm a military retiree - I had a lot of opportunities in my career to fire all types of weapons from a 155mm howitzer to every version of the Kalashnikov. What was conspicuously absent from the list of weapon's I've fired was a shotgun of any type. Not anymore... For right around $65 + tip, I was able to use both 20- and 12- gauge shotguns and expend an entire box of each gauge ammo to shoot at some sporting clays. It was nothing short of a concierge experience - our guide started the day by showing us one of their new pheasants before orienting me to the guns I'd be firing and instructing me on how to actually hit one of the sporting clays. He then took me to the "range" and walked me through trying to shoot from the different launch points. He also mentioned that they were one of the only places in the country that can set up a one-mile snipe. Let that sink in, folks...taking a sniper shot from AN ENTIRE MILE away. I put that on my list for next time as it does take more setup so needs to be arranged in advance. I performed respectably but more clay pigeons survived the experience than I would have liked. I learned a lesson - sport shooting is significantly different than military. It was humbling but a ton of fun! And the husband did manage to get a video of me actually hitting one of the confounded things so that made me a happy camper too. Would I return? YES YES YES Would I recommend? YES YES YES Service Dog rating? A++; she was welcomed for lunch and they also accommodated her needs while I was shooting

Indoor seating was only half full, if that. We waited for 20 minutes before our orders were taken. We then proceeded to wait two hours before we even received our food, with very little checking in from our waitress. She eventually apologized for the wait after we'd been waiting for an hour and a half after ordering. We asked for some bread rolls for the kids at this time and she seemed happy to bring those (along with a round of free drinks for the adults). When we asked for bread rolls for the kids, we mentioned we'd been there already for 2 hours and needed something for the kids. She pulled out her handheld ordering device and said, actually it looks like you've only been here for an hour and a half. 1) The waitress argued with us on how long we'd been waiting. 2) An hour and a half to wait for food (ended up being 2 hours in the end) is completely unacceptable. 3) We had been there 2 hours because it took them 20 minutes to even take our order. We finally received our food and it was just ok. Absolutely nothing to write home about. They mentioned only being open for three weeks and that being a reason as to why our wait was so long. They must have meant 'for the season' because their Facebook page has been posting since 2021. Another table of 4 behind us had been waiting for an hour and other tables that were seated after us received food before us. Completely unimpressed by this restaurant.

I chose The Boulevard after looking at the reviews. But overall, it was a meh experience unfortunately. I got a reservation for our large family group, and our table was waiting for us when we arrived. Besides us there were just a few more parties dining in. But while we were seated quickly, out experience then went downhill. The biggest problem: We had to wait nearly 90 minutes to get our entrees. We had to ask a few times what the hold-up was, and the owner (I think) ended up providing free desserts for the table to compensate. This helped, but still ... 90 minutes. And our entrees were a bit hit or miss. I got the shrimp alfredo, which didn't have much flavor. A couple of our other entrees were cold. My husband's pork chop was delicious, though, he said. It overall felt like The Boulevard didn't know what it wanted to be -- either more high-end with its entrees and prices or casual. I would be interested in trying it again, but hopefully our dinner won't take as long as it did on our first visit.

Our table had a nice greeting card to make you feel welcome and appreciated, but it went down hill from there. We got our drinks quickly, placed our dinner orders-we both tried the "Nut Crusted Walleye, thinking we should try what you'd think was a Northern Wisconsin "specialty. Mind you, the price is $38 per dinner, so you'd expect the food quality to match the price-NO WAY. First-the owner misrepresents what comes out of his Kitchen by using Stock Photos you buy for advertising. I'll get back to the food quality in a bit. We got our salads quickly-probably because our Server plated them, but they came with our salad dressings in packets you get at places where the menu is behind a fast food service counter. Honestly, this is insulting, lazy and cheap for the cost. We then waited 25 minutes after the salads to get our Entree's. They were not busy, nor understaffed and we were the only seated table in the entire place, everyone else was at the bar and there we about 10 people who had already been there, so they hadn't ordered before us. At the 20-minute mark for getting our food, I asked our server about our meals, nicely, she proceeded to lie to us that our orders came in AFTER several others and it would be a few more minutes. When our food arrived, it was ALL beige, and the fish was obviously low-grade Walleye with fishy-tasting blood line inherent in low-grade product. The Lonesome Pine in Deerwood, MN has a $36.00 Walleye dinner to die for. The only thing good on the plate were the baked potatoes, which we smothered in butter and our second experience that night of "squeeze tube delivered" Sour Cream. In summary, I see the owner takes offense to criticism. He never said boo to us, but he looked over at us more than a few times as he and his pack of Bar regulars yakked and looked over their shoulders at the "strangers" in their watering hole. Just me and the Wife, looking for new places in the area we thought we'd try. We came with normal expectations, set by how the place is advertised, and it's nothing of the kind. People vote with their dollars. The owner should understand it makes no difference if the patrons aren't your long-time crew and you'd think that it would be a chance to get out from behind the bar, walk over to our table and just say "Thanks for coming in-we hope to see you again" Our bill was $110.00 BEFORE tip for a server who lied to us. She must be related to the owner.
