We made reservations and came in an hour early for drinks at the bar and have the supper clubs experience. We arrived and the hostess Kaylee greeted us and directed us to the bar and told us she would come grab us for the reservation. Kaylee was super sweet and friendly. We walked into the bar which looks like a fun spot to socialize. Unfortunately every seat was filled. Some with teens which was a disappointment. The bar staff didn't seem to see us nor did servers passing by so we went back to Kaylee and asked if we could grab a table in the bar area to order drinks until our reservation. She was great and found a spot for us. The restaurant and patio were empty but the bar was full. After a few minutes, no one had taken our order so my husband went to the bar and ordered cocktails. From that point the bartender attended to us. Our dirty martini and old fashioned were very good. When it was time for our reservation, we elected to sit outside since it was such a nice evening. The patio has plenty of seating and a beautiful view of the lake. The building could use a little refresh but it is still a nice patio to sit and enjoy a meal. Our server was Maria who couldn't have been more lovely. She was friendly, attentive and always walked with a smile. I ordered the filet, medium, with a baked potato. The filet was cooked perfect medium but lacked seasoning. The potato was fine. My husband ordered the special which was a chicken Alfredo dish. He said it was delicious. For desert we ordered the donuts. Served warm with a whipped cream. They were also very good. Overall it was a nice experience except for the start to the night in the bar. The hostess Kaylee and server Maria were excellent which helped turn the evening around.

Reason I say that. Is I ordered a steak from another line that came with wild rice. So i did change to the other steak meal. So I get home and open all the boxes and a salad was in big box. Chocolate cake in the other 2 big boxes, and the Big Mac size box had the steak and garlic bread in it. I assumed the steak meal was one of the bigger boxes. Why would you put a steak in the box with the bread it will make it soggy. It did. But I opened the boxes and was shocked. Now I wasn't expecting a tomahawk steak. But wow. I grabbed my food scale and weighed the steak. I went on Chat gpt and asked if a steak weighed 6oz would it cook down that small,Chat said no. A normal 6oz steak would have cooked to 4-5 oz. I'm sure folks on here will debate this. So there is the picture and information. I did call the manager and he said next time I come in let him know he'd take care of it next time we come in. When I call a manager I'm not calling for free food. I'm calling to let you have the information for you to fix it going forward. Up to them. So as you see in the photo you could tear the garlic bread in half and make a steak slider out it. It's to bad that restaurants have to order from Sysco or US foods. With all the meat markets we have here. Totally changes the flavor of the meat for the better and has more vitamins getting it from a local meat market versus the highly processed foods and meats from the national chain. But a restaurant hands are tied. Why Sysco blocks local meat sourcing 1. Exclusive purchasing contracts Most Sysco agreements require: * 80-100% of food spend through Sysco * Meat is always included in that requirement Buying steaks from a local butcher = contract violation. Ok so to finish up. The Ambiance feel is a combination sports bar with cabin feel. Lastly when we walked in there were folks at tables spaced away from each other all over the restaurant. I truly love that. You can talk in private at your table. But as we say there they filled nearly every table around our table. Before the restaurant and former restaurant folks start. I worked in restaurants so has my family some of them their entire lives some even own restaurants so. I fully know and understand how seating works with fairness to waitstaff. I also understand that if someone was getting off work you'd fill the seats of the waitstaff that still working through. But there were a ton of empty tables. No need to rack and stack us on top of each other. Kills the vibe. If a restaurant is empty as this one was at that time. In summary great staff. Bland food.

It was Saturday evening and the hostess who greeted us was very friendly. The restaurant was busy and she found us a table on the outside enclosed space. We waited a few minutes and a server greeted us and said they were very busy so she would take our drink orders before our regular server would become available. We waited a little longer and our new server Melody brought the drinks and apologized for the wait. Melody was very nice and professional. She checked on us throughout the evening. I ordered the chicken Parmesan. My husband ordered coconut shrimp with a baked potato and our friend ordered the walleye. We each ordered the cabbage soup with the dinner. The chicken parm was delivered on a huge plate of pasta with red sauce. Unfortunately neither was flavorful and there was just way too much pasta. The chicken had a small amount of white sauce on top. The red sauce was not seasoned at all. My husband said the coconut shrimp was fine. The baked potato arrived after he finished the shrimp so that was disappointing. Our friend said the walleye was okay. The cabbage soup was good but needed seasoning. LOTS of empty tables when we arrived at 4:45 p.m., but we still got sat in an undesirable area. App of cheese curds. Meals were Hilltop Melt, country style pork ribs and king prime rib. The cheapest meal was happiest with their food: Hilltop Melt with Sweet Potato fries. My mother found that the pork ribs were dry and bland (and I did try them and they were indeed bland and the only flavor came from the BBQ sauce). Don't brag that your boneless, country style pork ribs are cooked for 18 hours, when the result is dry and bland. My king prime rib was served later so the hashbrowns could cook, according to the waitress, yet the hashbrowns that my mom and I both had were okay on the outer edges, but not warm/cooked on the inside. The prime rib had decent flavor, but it was tough and required a lot of sawing through with a steak knife. The best part of the visit was our waitress Hannah; food was mediocre.
