But while we were seated quickly, out experience then went downhill. The biggest problem: We had to wait nearly 90 minutes to get our entrees. We had to ask a few times what the hold-up was, and the owner (I think) ended up providing free desserts for the table to compensate. This helped, but still ... 90 minutes. And our entrees were a bit hit or miss. I got the shrimp alfredo, which didn't have much flavor. A couple of our other entrees were cold. My husband's pork chop was delicious, though, he said. He never said boo to us, but he looked over at us more than a few times as he and his pack of Bar regulars yakked and looked over their shoulders at the "strangers" in their watering hole. Fish fry, chicken Parmesan sandwich, meatloaf, pizza and a chicken sandwich were ordered by the group. One member of the group said his chicken Parmesan was the best he'd ever had. The meatloaf was huge and extremely flavorful. The pizza was really tasty and the chicken sandwich was...a chicken sandwich. Personally, I had the fish fry (offered on Friday and Saturday nights). It could be prepared three ways. I took the house special corn meal. I received a hearty portion. Like all meals eaten, it came out hot and well prepared. I eat a lot and the four piece meal was not only delicious, but filling. My drinks were nicely priced and mixed nicely by our busy server.
