Veggie bowl with a side of maple sausage.
    Butters B.

Came on a Wednesday morning around 10 AM. Ordered the veggie bowl with a fried egg over medium and got a side of maple sausage. My daughter had the biscuit French toast and a cup of fruit. Service was good. Loved the log cabin and feel and food was delicious and homemade.

I can back with my mother in law to have a nice sit down breakfast together. This is both our second time coming here but this time together. We love this little place it's got a nice bakery along with a cozy cabin look inside. The service was amazing the young lady who took care of us was really sweet. This time I tried the Grizzly Bear breakfast love my bacon, the way the eggs were cooked and the gravy on the massive biscuit was delicious. My mother in law got an omelet and let's just say I think it'll be her dinner too. Definitely want to come back to try other eats 05/29/2025

The outside of the restaurant, so cute!

This is such a cute little restaurant in Tomball! I love their commitment to theme. They have so many little touches that really make this place feel like a cozy cabin. The parking situation isn't ideal, but don't let that discourage you from stopping in. We came by around 8:30 on a Sunday morning and were so sad to see that the restaurant wasn't busier. All of the staff was incredibly friendly. They greeted us with bright smiles when we came in and got us seated immediately. I couldn't decide between two different coffees and waited to order my own until I could try the iced vanilla latte that my husband ordered. It was so good that I was even more conflicted when our waiter asked what I would like to order. I told him that I was between that or their holiday peppermint. He recommended the peppermint as one of his favorites so that's what I chose. It did not disappoint!! It tasted like a muted version of a Ghirardelli peppermint bark square in a coffee. It was so good without being overly sweet, and it event had little pieces of peppermint in it. It was definitely one of the best holiday coffees I've ever had. I ordered the Southwest bowl. I asked to exclude the peppers that it comes with. When they brought our food, the runner let me know that they decided to put my salsa on the side since it had tiny cut up peppers in it and they weren't sure how severe it was. Then our waiter, Wyatt, came by to check that everything came out okay and he also let me know that he decided to put the salsa on the side in case my exclusion of peppers was due to an allergy. I thought that was so incredibly thoughtful and kind of them. They didn't inquire with me if it was an allergy, they just took it upon themselves to take that extra little step to ensure I'd be safe if it was. The coffee was great and so was the food! Can't wait to take my family when they come visit!

Biscuit Special (biscuit, egg, bacon, cheese)

Cute little eatery right off main strip. Have both indoor and outdoor seating. Couldn't beat their biscuit special (biscuit sandwich with egg, bacon, & cheese) and a coffee for 7.99. Their biscuits are pretty large and in charge. I saved some room to move from their eats to their sweets. Shared a slice of sweet potato maple cake topped with cream cheese frosting. It summed up all those wanted fall flavors, now if the weather would follow suit. Enjoyed all the simple details from throw pillows to the plaid lumber jack fabric napkins. Definitely swing by and grab some sweets to go if you lack time for the eats or Otto's rootbeer they sell in house.

Chicken and waffles, ordered a side of warm cinnamon apples.

Sugar fest today. Dessert was Texas sheet cake and homemade cheesecake. And that was on top of warm cinnamon apples that we ordered with the chicken and waffles and French toast biscuits. I would've preferred the chicken cooked crunchy, but maybe that's just my personal taste. In retrospect I wish I had ordered a more savory dish with eggs or something. Maybe we will come back some day and, if so, I can do that. Great service, clearly nice people.

Cute restaurant that we'll need to visit another 8...10...12 more times to taste everything we couldn't! Breakfast was DELICIOUS!! Our waitress was EXTREMELY patient with us asking questions during our first visit. Plenty of seating inside, and they have outside seating - perfect on a sunny day. HIGHLY recommend the waffle biscuits and regular biscuits! SO DELISH! Served warm, with butter, syrup and jams. We didn't get the gravy and biscuits...but saw others who did...DEFINITELY s repeat!

    Tomball Stacker

I lucked out by landing on this place for breakfast. Nestled, in Tomball - Pine Street is a hidden gem with good food and some neat looking decor. From a food perspective, there is a bit of a wilderness flair sprinkled through the menu. I elected to order the Tomball Stacker and I got my son a waffle and cheesy eggs. The stacker was the perfect build of tastiness. It had a biscuit, maple sausage, hash brown casserole, and over medium egg smothered in a scrumptious sausage gravy. It all played nice together. My son's waffle had the perfect balance of crisp and softness. He was able to dress his waffles with syrup, Nutella, and fruit. He eggs were full of gooey cheese which made him very happy - and that made me happy. I love this place and will be back for sure!

In my (extremely modest) opinion since growing up here, Tomball had been missing a really good breakfast joint. I've now been here twice in the last month, and I can finally say that this box has been checked. The menu has pretty good depth. The food has been fantastic. The hashbrown Casserole is magnificent. Every entree I've had has been good, and would order again. Even so, I keep wanting to try something new every time I come through. The service is consistently solid. It's a little slow, but that's to be expected in this setting. The food comes out hot, and fresh. The place is very clean, dining area, waiting room, and bathrooms included. There is street parking all around the area. There are bars and other shopping areas within walking distance. It's well situated near anything else you may want to do before or after. Give it a shot.

This place is excellent. The first thing I'll say is these are the biscuits are amazing. Best I ever had. Regular and jalapeno cheese. The food came out fast and fresh. We highly recommend this place. It's definitely a hidden gym. The staff and owner are very nice. best breakfast brunch place on the north side.

    The Huntsman

This place has a rather sinful little menu. Breakfast sandwiches with variations including fresh buttermilk biscuits, crispy fried chicken, grilled ham, Swiss cheese and Dijon honey mustard. French toast biscuits, loaded waffle fries, omelettes and even some rabbit food. I had the huntsman breakfast sandwich, which is more of a knife and fork type of sandwich than it is a grab and hold but, delicious and indulgent nonetheless. The other star of the show was the hash brown casserole; comes out in a little single serving skillet nice and warm, cheesy and soft with a touch of sweetness that I did not expect - I could eat these all the time. Oh and then there was the lemon bar. Tastes like you would expect, nice bright lemony flavor, decent crust holding it together and a surprisingly thick meringue (I think that's what it is?). Service was a little slow but we were warned ahead by the note on that door, so no big deal. They were friendly and accurate with the orders. Woodsy feel to the interior, which you would probably expect since it is a lot cabin style building. Cute, tasty little spot. Would go back.

Upper is her kids meal and lower is my mama bear with French Toast biscuit.

Amazing biscuits and jam. Coffee cups are funky and not good for keeping the coffee warm but the food overcomes any issues.

While it has moved from its previous Top 50 ranking, the food remains a great experience. The brisket was deliciously smoked, though I found the bark to be a little too salty for my taste. Despite that, the meat itself was fantastic. The ribs were hearty and very tender, and the pork belly had a nice flavor, but was a little on the dry side. The pork belly burnt ends were a unique treat. They were covered in a spicy barbecue sauce, which was a pleasant surprise since I usually prefer a fruity base like peach or apricot. The absolute standout was the sausage. It was a perfectly cooked, double-grind sausage with a delicious chili relleno taste. It was cheesy and had an excellent flavor that made it one of my favorite sausage offerings to date. For the sides, the carrot soufflé was a highlight. It was delicious with a smooth texture and only a hint of carrot, making it an excellent and unique side. To top it all off, there's a chocolate shoppe attached to the restaurant, so a chocolate dessert is an absolute must after your meal. I highly recommend this quaint restaurant for a truly enjoyable barbecue experience.

Went back about two weeks ago on a whim and I've already been back twice since. The BBQ is legitimately exceptional now. The burnt ends are amazing--tender, smoky, and packed with flavor. The cheesesteak is awesome, the turkey is surprisingly moist and tasty, and the overall quality is way higher than I remembered. A couple small notes: the poblano sausage was a bit too cheesy for my taste, and the mac and cheese has crushed tortilla chips on top that feel unnecessary (though the base is still solid). Must-orders: Get the chicharrones and queso and ask for a side of Tajín to sprinkle on top--it takes it to another level. The jalapeños at the condiment station are pure fire and delicious. They also have a full bar, so chilling with a cold beer and some top-notch BBQ is the move. The chocolate truffles at the counter are fantastic--you really can't go wrong with any of them. They also have specials if you order four or more items, which is a nice touch. Plenty of seating inside or outside, and there's ample parking right across the street. If you haven't been in a while (or ever), do yourself a favor and give them another shot. I'm glad I did. Solid 4 stars.

Usually, I'll find a place offers one but not the other- but I'm happy to say I've experienced both here. There are both sweet and savory treats on the menu, with rotating options based on the season. I love that they have everything from handheld chicken pot pies (delicious) and cookie croissants (haven't yet tried but they look amazing). Their cookies lean more classic, with a good variety of options. I know many of my fellow sweet-toothed friends have been feeling "oversized and underbaked" cookie fatigue with the way current food trends have been going, but Brit's Batch takes their cookies back to the basics of a thinner cookie with a crisp edge and chewy interior. Kind of like Great American Cookies but a little more elevated and personalized. Their drinks menu also has great variety, and even though I'm not typically a fan of sweet coffee, I loved their banana bread latte. Service is always attentive and sweet. The interior is bright and clean, and very conducive for journaling or studying. Private parking lot with plenty of spots. And while I enjoy sitting and staying for a while whenever I visit, they do (bemusingly) have a drive thru for your convenience. Highly recommend it here! - Ambiance: 5/5 - Food: 5/5 - Service: 5/5

The main item on the agenda: cinnamon roll. As fate would have it, they had not one, not two, but three different kinds of cinnamon rolls. My wife ordered a standard one and I went with the biscoff version. Both were as heavy as heavy gets. In fairness, any cinnamon roll is going to be heavy, but these were like: two bites and at my limit. Was this more because I also happened to have a heavy lunch? Maybe so. But when I brought home leftovers to eat after dinner, I was still feeling stuffed to the max and unable to finish what I started earlier in the day. We also ordered a macadamia nut cookie and a cupcake, which were both fine. Same for the coffee, though I ordered a very basic iced americano, which is going to taste nearly the same everywhere. I'd come back to try Brit's again, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to do so again. But I may have caught them on a bad day, considering the awesome reviews they've brought in.
