CC's is a breakfast and lunch diner in Tomball. Outside there is plenty of parking available in front and inside it's an old school table service country eatery where you can come to get some down home cooking. Recently I had lunch there for my first visit. Since they are known for the chicken fried steak, I ordered it with sides of mashed potatoes and green beans for $13.75. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes. The CFS was 6 oz. with a lot of crust. I liked it taste wise but it had more crust than I prefer. The creamy gravy was delicious and I enjoyed it on the CFS and mashed potatoes which were also very good. Finally the green beans had bacon and cooked onions in it which of course made them tasty. The table service was warm and friendly. It was a good meal and I must get back soon to try a couple of other entrees on their menu.

My sister in love told me about this breakfast spot (she knows I absolutely love breakfast ALL day). My husband and I selected this one out of the two she gave us in Tomball because it looked larger. We were greeted at the door and it was actually held open for us (my husband is using a walker right now). He ordered Sausage, eggs, toast and grits (I forget the meal name) and I ordered a single blueberry pancake, bacon and eggs over medium. Bacon was limp and tasteless, eggs were over soft and the pancake was cooked to fast as it was hard and shiny on top but I saw batter on the inside. The waitress noticed I didn't eat my food and asked if I wanted the eggs redone, I said no as it was too late. My husband said his grits and eggs were fine. His sausage, I sampled a piece, although greasy had a nice spicy bite of flavor. He had coffee but said it was watered down. I Would not return.

Headed from Katy to Montgomery passing thru Tomball and it was lunch time so to Yelp I looked. Saw C C's Cafe. Good reviews and pics of the type joints I like. I'm not sure how long CC's has been there, but clearly a while. If you're into the fancy places with table clothes and black or white napkins depending on the color of your slacks, this ain't your place. This is about good southern home food. I went with one of their lunch specials, the dbl meat n cheese burger n fries. While waiting, I viewed the room and plates of food the waitresses were bringing out and it all looked good. This is just a good old school cafe. CFS, mashed potatoes, fried okra - all your local favorites your mama or grandma made for ya as a kid. The burger was just the right size for. Even took half home. Fries were "hand cut" - hot n crispy. Good 50/50 sweet tea. Breakfast menu loos good. A guy next to me had an order of French toast with his lunch. They're open from 6a-2p. Can't wait to try their breakfast next trip thru.

This pancake was bigger than my face, and was one of the best I've had in a long time. It was light and fluffy, and had a nice crisp to the top of it as well. Smothered in melted butter and syrup, every bite was so good. I also had some of their breakfast sausage, which was soooo good, and great to get a two bite in one with the pancake and sausage together!!! I also opted to get the chicken avocado club. The bread was toasted beautifully, there was lots of bread with the meal, so I ended up taking out the middle bread piece. The bacon was perfectly crispy, chicken grilled nicely, the only thing I wanted more of was avocado, didn't seem to be on 2 of my 4 slices. The fries were super hot, fresh, and crispy. Our service was really great, such a sweet woman that took care of us and also checked on us often. This was my first visit ever coming to one of these, and really enjoyed it and the amount of options available at a very reasonable price. I will definitely be returning!

Hostess pointed to an area and said to help myself to a table. It took her 10 mins to bring me a menu. 15 mins after that, my server sat at the counter then looked surprised that I was even here and took my order. It took 30 mins for pot roast and onion rings. Another server dropped off my meal 30+ mins ago and nobody has come back to check up on me. I wonder how long it will take to get the check. The food is pretty average (I am from NJ so I know what diner food should be like) The service might be the worst ever! I have had better service at Burger King. We went on a Thursday at 6:15 p.m. It was fairly busy but we were seated immediately. The waitress arrived right away and had our drinks out quick. I ordered my normal Grey Goose martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. The olives were small and were marinated which added a unique twist that I liked. My friend ordered a drink she was raving over, Dazed and Confused. It was lemony and incredibly refreshing. We started with the Foie Gras Meatballs. Delish! It's like a creamy meatball. I ordered one of the specials: Flat Iron steak (MR) with Brussel sprouts. The steak was a little on the rare side but it was still amazing. Lightly charred on the outside with a drizzle of a sauce I couldn't place. We finished with their little trifecta of desserts: Creme Brulé, Key Lime pie and chocolate mousse. It was a perfect finish to an amazing meal. Side note: my friend that recommended this restaurant had dined here 4 times in 2 weeks. She is obsessed! lol

We split the breakfast sandwich panini and one of their giant cinnamon rolls. The rosemary potatoes were perfectly seasoned with an incredibly velvety texture, and dipping them into their signature Victory Sauce was absolute perfection. The breakfast sandwich was outstanding, with thick, meaty, flavorful bacon on a buttery croissant that tasted like it had just come out of the oven. We paired everything with a caramel hazelnut iced coffee that was perfectly balanced, and the cinnamon roll had just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. What really stood out was the quality. Everything is made from scratch with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can absolutely taste the difference. On our way out, we could not resist taking home two pies and the cutest strawberry Pop-Tart covered in patriotic sprinkles. They looked almost too pretty to eat. The food alone would have earned five stars, but the hospitality made the experience unforgettable. The owner was incredibly genuine and treated every customer like a VIP. She has a true heart for veterans and took the time to personally thank my husband for his service. That kind of kindness is rare and speaks volumes about the people behind this wonderful business. This is an order at the counter, pay in advance, and they give you a little flag with a number on it place. Okay, pet peeve one, I hate tipping in advance, but it is a common kiosk thing now. Pet Peeve 2 all the prices rang up a dollar or two higher than the menu prices. (Soup and sandwich menu price 13 rang up 15) I understand inflation is a thing but if you're going to raise prices, go ahead and hit print on some new menus. It's a short menu, it's only two pages long. Second fact, prepare to wait. Maybe one chef back there hand wrangling each burger or sandwich by hand. Third fact there's about six tables with comfortable chairs and the rest have hard plastic chairs. so if you are coming at a busy time, you aren't going to have a padded seat. Countering these irritations is the fact that the food is actually really really good. It is simple fare, but really well done. The potato soup hovered just on the soup side of the line between potato soup and mashed potatoes, but had fresh crispy bacon and scallions added right before serving. The roast beef sandwich had sliced roast freshly from the oven just for this sandwich. So we got five star food but the rest of the package doesn't add up for me. I'm going to give it four.
