If you have not been to Victory Pie Co. in Tomball, you are missing out. My husband and I stopped in for breakfast, and every single bite exceeded our expectations. We split the breakfast sandwich panini and one of their giant cinnamon rolls. The rosemary potatoes were perfectly seasoned with an incredibly velvety texture, and dipping them into their signature Victory Sauce was absolute perfection. The breakfast sandwich was outstanding, with thick, meaty, flavorful bacon on a buttery croissant that tasted like it had just come out of the oven. We paired everything with a caramel hazelnut iced coffee that was perfectly balanced, and the cinnamon roll had just the right amount of sweetness without being overwhelming. What really stood out was the quality. Everything is made from scratch with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can absolutely taste the difference. On our way out, we could not resist taking home two pies and the cutest strawberry Pop-Tart covered in patriotic sprinkles. They looked almost too pretty to eat. The food alone would have earned five stars, but the hospitality made the experience unforgettable. The owner was incredibly genuine and treated every customer like a VIP. For Father's Day my how's Ted blueberry pie and it happened that blueberry was their pie of the month. We got 2 of the personal size. He didn't enjoy at all and threw out the 2nd pie. I got two baked goods; a gingerbread whoppie pie and the special pie of the month, or day, I forget what it was called but it's a chocolate pie with mint. Both were so delicious! Made from scratch, just what I was looking for. I haven't tried their food menu, and I'm excited to go back and sit down for a meal. I like supporting local businesses and I was super excited to see Victory Pie open this super cute location. I enjoyed a chicken pot pie and a cup of coffee and then bought a loaf of a seeded bread that just kept calling my name. I do like specialty places like this, and I expect to pay a higher price when I do treat myself to something like Victory, and the prices are definitely on the 'specialty' side. But, people do need to make money when they run a business, so I get it. Again, the location is super cute and the food was a nice treat. I wish them luck. I sat outside because I had my 2 small dogs with me. I had to come inside for a menu and to let them know I needed service. No one came to take my order so I called and they took it over the phone. When they finally brought my food, I asked for water and was told they would be back if they had time. Apparently they didn't have time and it took forever for them to return. I handed the girl my credit card, she returned a few minutes later and handed it back. I asked where was my receipt and she went back in and returned and I noticed they added a 15% tip! We came here on a Saturday morning around 10am there was a line of maybe about 5 people ahead of us with half of the tables inside the place full. By the time we sat down after ordering, the line wrapped around the whole establishment and every table was full and it stayed that way basically until we left. People love their pie! We came here specifically for the pie + coffee pairing flight, one of the best ideas I think I have ever heard if I might say so. When you order, they ask if you want hot or iced coffees - not sure if this affects what pies you get in the flight, but it doesn't really matter because they were all amazing. My standout favorites was their chocolate cream pie, coconut cream pie, and their liberty latte and tres leches latte (thank goodness these all came in small taster sizes so we could sample so much). I stopped by here after an eye appt. so I had a hard time finding it. The building is blue now. I got the biscuits and gravy pot pie. I was a little disappointed because they ran out of eggs to top it with, but it was very good. I got my wife a quiche which she couldn't eat all of so I finished it. The bacon and Swiss quiche was even better than the pot pie. They brought my food quicker than the 10 minutes they told me it would take. Everything was SO good and the staff was so friendly. I loved that they offer indoor and outdoor seating as well. My wife was looking for a place to grab lunch nearby and came across Victory Pie. I had already eaten, but am always down for dessert. I gave her a list of 4 different pies that I would not be angry about if she were to come home with. I did not actually expect her to come home with 4 pies, but she did just that. In fairness, two of them were my choices and two of them were hers. Compromise is a strong suit of our marriage. My two choices naturally ended up being my favorites: coconut cream and banana cream. She also got chocolate and cherry, which were definitely better than I would have assumed. However, I focused on the important pies in this conversation and would officially label them dangerous to have around the house. Took my Mom, who is a pie fanatic and has been wanting to go try it since they opened in Tomball... Place is cute, tea-parloresque. People are very friendly. That said, we were so, SO disappointed! We both got the chicken pot pie. I got a side of potatoes. She got a side of fruit. We split a pie and coffee flight. Mom said her fruit cup was very good and fresh (strawberries, grapes, and blueberries). Pot pies were edible, so we ate them, but agreed the frozen ones from the grocery store are better. Everything else was down hill from there. Potatoes smelled amazing and looked good, but were strange texture (too soft?) and hardly warm. I didn't finish them. The coffees (four different shot sized tasters) were all weak and watery (I thought one was tea when I saw it) with a crazy amount of either chocolate or peppermint syrup, yet STILL somehow totally flavorless. Or, at least we wish they'd have been flavorless. There was no coffee flavor. They did taste bad. VERY bad! My mom literally cringed multiple times when she sipped, even after stirring each and trying again. I gave each one a single sip and called it quits on those. We got the chocolate bourbon pecan, apple crumble, and coconut creme pies with our flight. We were so excited about the pie that we cut the pecan in half and practically shoved it in our mouths. Not good. The chocolate on the bottom was overly sweet, like chocolate donut filling. Otherwise, completely lacking. Then we tried the apple. Had about a big fork each. Again, flavorless. The crumb topping, that we thought was strussel, we determined had to be just plain crumbles of the crust. No cinnamon. No sugar. No taste in the whole thing. Crust on both the apple and pecan was weird. We likened it to hard pizza crust, or stale kolache bread. After all the disappointment, we couldn't stomache the idea of another bad bite, so my mom decided to take the coconut creme pie home to try after "cleansing her pallet". (Because she didn't want to be rude and leave it there untouched, after politely lying to the sweet staff about the food being good when they asked.) Well, hrs later we took a chance and just tried it, cautiously, with just the tips of our forks... The topping had to be actual icing (not fluffy whipped cream) Like, some kind of cake icing. Even had that slight sugar-graininess. The filling, once you removed the topping and could find it, was devoid of any coconut flavor. It actually immediately tasted like raw cookie batter (NOT in a good way), and had a slightly grey hue. That was more than enough. We didn't even notice if that one had a crust or not before it was tossed. We had been waiting over a month to try this place (hrs make it hard to go) and have pie and support a small business with a great cause, but we were groaning to each other about going by the time we got back in the car! I literally got the Yelp app just to be able to leave this review, because we have been left beyond confused about where all these raves are coming from! This is a pretty cool place for a pie, sweet or savory and it's all for a good cause. A portion of their proceeds are given to veterans and/or widows or orphans of veterans. My visit was focused on sweet and I tried only the individual pies since I needed a few for a small party. Their chocolate cream was good, but the standouts were the coconut and banana cream pies. Particularly the coconut. I still have a favorite place in the Houston area, but they're hand-made pies here are right up there as far as quality. They have a sampler special which comes with 4 individual pies if you can't make up your mind, or already know which ones you want. I tried the coconut cream, banana cream, chocolate cream and the magic cookie. The coconut was the best for me, while the magic cookie was a hot mess literally. It's too sticky and difficult to eat. The crumb crust at the very bottom is stuck beneath the caramel-like filling. I tried cold and room temperature. Maybe the best way to eat this one would be microwaved. They have a small unpaved parking area along the south side of their building. They're conveniently located near a few other businesses and the location of a farmers market. This place is so cute! Inside is small and cozy, they have a decent sized patio with umbrellas at the tables. My wife and I came here for the coffee flight. We ending up getting breakfast as well. They pick the coffee flavors for your flight thankfully, because they all sounded too good to choose. The hashbrown bowl was delicious, I added a lot of add-ons so the portion came out pretty big. Definitely should have shared, but I appreciate the fresh vegetable add-ins. Also as a veteran, I appreciate their support towards the troops. This place is a nice hidden gem that I would definitely try again, especially as its proximity to home lets me fulfill my pie cravings much easier. Just walking into the place felt nice, as the rustic furniture and aesthetic made it very cozy. I ordered the beef pot pie with a side salad and my friend ordered the chicken pot pie with chips. The lady at the cash register already told us in advance that there would be a wait, so the longer wait was easily made up for the nice staff and atmosphere. The pie was great, being very filling despite its size being on the smaller end. The side salad also helped to contrast the richness of the pie, however I don't know if the pie with a salad that size would warrant a meal over 10 dollars. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for something new. Despite its higher price range, the food was excellent.
