I was went on Hidden Gems of Oahu with Byodo In and Turtle Spotting - No Snorkeling Tour (Island Circle Tour)! The tour guide was knowledgeable and had wonderful personality keep it fun! It was an all day tour and well worth the money. Beautiful stops for oceans views, food, and breathtaking nature. The tour arranges pick up and drop off which makes getting to the tour easy for tourist! I highly recommend booking with this tour company for your trip to Waikiki, Hawaii.

As a first-time visitor to Hawaii, this experience was incredibly stressful, deeply disorganized, and poorly coordinated. Our day started at 2:00 AM for a 6:30 AM flight, only to find out the Maui airport doesn't even open until 6:00 AM. Thank goodness we had TSA PreCheck, or we would have missed our flight running to the gate. The issues only compounded once we landed: Zero Airport Guidance: The company email stated a taxi company (Charlies Taxi) would pick us up. Being completely new to the islands, we didn't know where to go. Airport staff gave us conflicting directions, and we spent a frustrating amount of time wandering around just to find the pickup zone. No Greeters or Communication: There was nobody to meet us at the airport. After calling the taxi company and waiting 15 minutes, we finally got a ride to Pearl Harbor. Left Stranded at Pearl Harbor: Once we arrived at Pearl Harbor, there was again nobody to greet us, despite a text from the driver saying he would be waiting. We waited outside for 45 minutes. I finally had to call the tour company to find out where our guide was. I only found our group because I actively approached a guide myself. Unwelcoming Attitude: We were told beforehand we could leave bags on the bus. When I asked the guide to unlock the bus for my backpack, he made me feel like I was a massive inconvenience and a bother. Rushed Experience: To top it off, we received an email during the tour telling us we had to call and arrange our own return taxi through Charlie taxi. The tour ended so abruptly and quickly that we missed the actual ending of the experience because we had catch our flight back.

The biggest highlights for us were the Byodo-In Temple and the Dole Plantation. We were originally going to drive ourselves to these places, but we were so glad we ran into the vendors on the street instead. Some of the stops didn't quite meet our expectations, but for the price (especially with the discount), it was well worth it. However, the real heartbeat of the tour wasn't even the sites--it was Neo and Ryan. They are incredibly knowledgeable about the island, and their presentation was filled with heartwarming honesty, real facts, and no sugar-coating. They made sure to include everyone in the conversation, which showed such genuine care for the guests. We absolutely loved them and would tour with them again on any other adventures. I highly recommend taking a tour with Neo and Ryan--they will absolutely make your time worthwhile! Love from L. T. and family.

Then next morning we had to find the Hyatt for pick up and was rushed! I was not happy about that! On the tour we went to Fumi's a shrimp spot to eat which was good. Our driver Kapono was very nice guy. He suggested we pre- order because we would arrive at lunch hours , a busy time. He passed out this folder for everyone to write order , amount of order & changed owed. My partner and I order came up to $32 dollars and we put $40 dollars and never received our change! Now we definitely would of tipped that or let him keep it but I didn't like how he never mentioned us getting our change back!! Definitely funny move! Unprofessional business Tactics! Again very nice guy but I would suggest tell people have exact change or they won't get they're change back VS just keeping everyone money!! Now some people did write keep change, i wrote owed because I wanted him to return my change and let me tip my money if I WANTED!!!! You don't just keep people change!! We paid for this tour it was not free so no one has a right to just keep your change from order!! The tour was a full day and it was worth it! Just need to be a little more organized!! But it was cool!

He was hilarious, full of fascinating stories, and somehow managed to make every bathroom stop feel like part of the adventure. The views were jaw-dropping: Diamond Head glowing in the morning sun, waves crashing at Halona Blowhole, and those movie-perfect cliffs near Kualoa Ranch. Dirk kept us entertained between stops with island legends, trivia, and a soundtrack that could make even a restroom break feel cinematic. Leonard's malasadas? Heavenly. Macadamia nut farm snacks? Dangerous in the best way. Tanaka's garlic shrimp? Worth every bite and every burp. Turtle Beach was the crown jewel--relaxing, peaceful, and filled with lazy sea turtles living their best lives. Dirk's timing was perfect, his humor was infectious, and his love for the island made every mile memorable. I laughed, I learned, I ate too much, and I never once regretted it. If you want a full day of Oahu beauty, good vibes, and an expert guide who'll keep you smiling and on schedule, this is the tour. Mahalo, Dirk, you're the real MVP of island adventures!
