Kalua Pig Nachos
Sarah A.

Cute spot in Eureka and was pleasantly surprised to find a Hawaiian food option. Seemed well liked and had plenty of people during lunch on a Friday. While we waited for our order, my daughter was entertained by their Pac-Man game. Generous portions on the kalua pig nachos and garlic chicken to share. Pretty cool that they have a food truck too.

1/3/26 FYI. Sticky IPA. Support local.

1 of 2 Yelp reviews. Quality/Quantity - A suggestion from Humboldt Bay Provisions and a home run! Today we got the following: Spicy Garlic Chicken Fries - #1 seller, so I have to try. Boy have I been eating so unhealthy on this trip, but you know that because you are following. Is that part of the reason I am having so much fun? This did not disappoint. I did not think it was very spicy, but my daughter said it was too spicy for her. Good thing she ordered the mild version of garlic chicken; see below. Decent portions. Garlic Chicken - A more mild version of the above. But with rice and mac rather than fries. A slightly healthier version. Ahi Poke Bowl - My wife's choice. Generous portions, especially the tuna; thank you. Because this is raw, we "forced" ourselves to finish this dish first. So good. And to wash it down, supporting local, Sticky Finger IPA. Ambiance - Small local business. The food truck was parked in the rear of the building. Due to the rain, I did not take pictures. Plenty of mall parking. Open 5 days a week, 11:30am to 7pm; closed on Monday and Tuesday. Service - Counter service. Overall okay. Price - $62 + tip. Reasonably priced as we pretty much took an entree to-go. We are light eaters. Owner Comment - Aloha, congrats on your success since 2017; we will be back!

How do you screw up a sunny side up egg?
Alan C.

I decided to order again. They don't do online ordering, so I called in, and they told me to show up to the drive-through window in about a half hour. So I did. I ordered the Kalua pig nachos. I asked them to leave off the jalapeños, which they did For a small extra charge, I asked them to put a sunny side up egg on top. I show up, and my food is waiting for me at the drive-through window. I take it home, and I open up the container, and I was kind of disappointed. First of all, I asked for a sunny side up egg, yet the yolk was still hard. I love the yolk to drip down into the food, and there was none of that here. How do you screw up a sunny side up egg? Secondly, the food was only lukewarm. Since the egg didn't matter anymore, I just reheated it in the microwave, and it came out fine. The pork was tender and delicious, the ingredients played well with each other, and I really liked the mango salsa. It had just a tiny bit of a "kick" to it. Just enough that I noticed. The one thing I didn't care for, were the wonton chips. They were pretty oily. I would pick them up, and I could just see the oil on my fingers. I could taste it on the chips as well. Not exactly the most appetizing. Overall, the food was OK, and the price was reasonable. I would come back to try more things, but I would stay away from this one. Thanks anyway.

Everything that came to the table was delicious. Very happy with the kalua bbq sandwich, furakake fries, shoyu chicken, and coconut shrimp.

I pulled up, and the lady comes out to talk to me, she asked me if I had been there before and I said I didn't. She said take a look at the menu, and I will come back to you. It turns out she was going back-and-forth between being the cashier, and taking orders. If they had a box, it wasn't working. I decided to go with the pulled pork sandwich on a baguette, I chose all of the veggies, with no cheese or avocado, which was extra price. I requested the barbecue sauce, which was the non-spicy version. The sandwich was excellent. The baguette was a very high-quality roll, the pulled pork was savory, and all of the veggies were nice and crisp. The barbecue sauce tasted like it was a vinegar based, and it had a great "Tang" to it. It provided a nice pop of acid to offset the richness of the pulled pork. I could only finish half of my sandwich, and I had the other half for dinner. The sandwich came out to $14 and change after tax, , which was reasonable for such a good sandwich. The reason I'm taking off a star, is because of the wait time. The wait time from when I pulled up till when I pulled out with my sandwich was roughly 15 minutes. That's quite a wait for a sandwich. You can order ahead online, but you still have to wait in the line to pick up your food. They do delivery, but they only do one delivery run a day at 11 AM, and so you have to get your order in on time. They shouldn't have the person running back-and-forth between being cashier, and taking orders as well. Maybe have another person taking orders. Hopefully the next time I come back, the wait won't be so long. I wish these guys would get a "brick-and-mortar." They would do very well. Thank you!

Driving through Northern CA and did not expect such a filling and fun meal…read more This spot is definitely a Chinese, Korean, Japanese fusiony spot that I did not expect to find here. We ordered the Chinese Style Lamb Stew, Cheese Corn, Kung Pao Vegetables, and it came with a side of banchan. Every single dish here was absolutely delicious and piping hot! We ended up ordering a second plate of banchan because it was so good. The daikon radish had the most satisfying crunch and the others- cabbage and bean sprouts were very well pickled too! Cheese corn was sweet and honestly a good pairing with the very soury/ pickled soup. The kung pao vegetables would have definitely fooled me if I wasn't told it was mushroom. The batter holds on the oyster mushrooms just like chicken does. Well seasoned. Service was very impressive - there was a single waitress serving lots of tables. She had amazing recommendations and really seemed like she knew what she was doing. Very kind and attentive the entire time. Would love to return.

This is the best Asian style restaurant in Humboldt county. Great dishes well prepared. They were busy, only two servers but they did a very good job. We even ordered plates to take home, food was that good.

I havent been here years never thought the donuts were special. Though I haven't visited in person…read morein about 5 years until this morning, I recently had their apple fritter a week ago which a coworker had brought in to work. It left a very waxy film in your mouth unlike donut mill which makes exceptional apple fritters. I assume they use some solid frying oil like shortening or something. But the real reason for leaving this review is as I came in. I asked for a round glazed cinnamon roll. It was 6.95. An apple fritter was 6.95. A dozen donut holes was 5.95 a glazed donut was 2.95. Are you absolutely out of your mind? The donuts are so mid tier and youre charging more for that filth than a local bakery does for their pastries. Absolutely out of your minds. We would always make fun of this place because the lady would be so obnoxious and always be like and then and then and then what else what else you want what else you want and then what else you want. Like nothing I want one donut that's it. Thank god she wasnt there this morning and it was some other gentlemen. I gladly told him I didn't know donuts were so expensive and I walked out. How does this place still exist a dozen regular donuts are 40 dollars

Worst Donut Shop Experience of My Life. Stay Away. I don't…read moreeven know where to begin. $37.50 for a dozen donuts. Let that sink in. When I had the audacity to ask what justified that price, the owner didn't just fail to answer -- she turned immediately hostile, became openly rude to me, and then tried to enlist other customers in the store to gang up on me. In a donut shop. Over a price question. Rather than addressing my concern professionally, she attempted to drag strangers into the confrontation -- what should have been a straightforward conversation between a business owner and a paying customer turned into something embarrassing and hostile. A business owner who responds to basic questions by belittling customers and stirring up conflict has no business running a business. On top of that, the store itself was visibly dirty. Cleanliness is non-negotiable when you're handling food that people put in their mouths -- it's the bare minimum. The hygiene standards on display were deeply concerning and off-putting. This place deserves zero stars. If you value your money, your dignity, and basic food safety standards, do yourself a favor and drive right past it. I will not be returning.
