The doctors did not prescribe anything for Bells Palsy besides steroids to relieve inflammation to my nerves. I started therapy with Dr. Han I believe on the 18th of Jun and I saw immediate results that I decided to go for the full therapy. Dr explained that the more times I come to the office the better my recovery time. I've gone to acupuncture approximately 7 visits and I share my results which is at approximately 85% recovery. I have rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and have taken the holistic approach to treating my disease. I decided to try acupuncture to see if it could assist with my inflammation and pain. I did my research and decided to try Lee Acupuncture based on all the positive reviews. There were even a few reviews coming from arthritis patients who had obtained good results. They're located in a small business plaza that borders Costa Mesa & Newport Beach. The big "Melton Int'l Tackle" sign is a good landmark. They are located all the way down the alley on the right. Free parking is available. The office itself is rather small with 3-4 patient rooms and a small waiting area that's comfortably furnished with 2 chairs, a sofa and some snacks & water. I was pleased to learn that my insurance covered the first 6 sessions (per year) at $40 co-pay per session. After that the rate goes up, but you can buy a package that offers lower rates. The very 1st session was interesting, as they hooked me up to a machine to determine how balanced my energy was flowing internally. It highlighted key areas of improvement. The belief is that the more balanced I am, the less inflammation I will have. Each session is about 1/2 an hour. I started going twice a week, and now I go once a week. I was assigned to Dr. Kim who thoroughly explained everything to me prior to starting, and continues to remain helpful and caring. He inserts the needles in various areas, primarily my hands, feet and head. Sometimes it hurts a little when the needles go in, and a couple times I've bled after the needles came out, but that's probably because it hit a vein. I lay on the table for 1/2 hour and feel very relaxed afterwards. In addition to the acupuncture, I take herbs that I purchase from them for $90 for 1 weeks worth. They said it's very important to keep taking the herbs as it assists with the healing process. I had also read about this online. I take the herbs 2x a day (AM & PM) with food. I mix the herbs with a little water and drink it like a tea. After approximately two months of acupuncture and drinking herbs, I can positively say that my inflammation has gone down significantly. I took a photo of my inflammation on my hands & feet prior to starting, and there has been a big improvement! I will definitely continue seeing Dr. Kim, and I'm so happy I discovered Lee Acupuncture.

Except for some weeks, I have been here in Garden Grove , from Lake Forest, 1x a week for almost every single week for the last 3-4 YEARS. He is absolutely worth the drive !! I go in the afternoon and it takes me 1 hour to get there and then another 45 minutes home. He is worth it 10000% every single time. He has removed the nerve pain in plantar fascitis (which i healed from with PT in 2025). He has address joint pains from my lifelong chronic disease of lupus. He has addresses chronic migraines and headaches. He has pretty much helped shape and improve my quality of life immensely and I recommend to anybody looking for acupuncture to please go in to Dr. Han (the only doctor and the greatest good doctor) at Seoul Acupuncture. He uses a TENS style cupping machine as well as needed, a manual cupping system on your back and then acupuncture/needles you on your back. Then he flips you over and addresses primarily fingers and toes along with other areas of your front. They give you hospital gowns and will give you basketball shorts if you come in longer pants. They have nice heat and heat lamps and blanket sheets as well. His style is TCM pulse acupuncture and he is very good at his job. He will also teach students at acupuncture school as an intern style position.
