I shouldn't recommend for this Dr. John. I came for headache& shoulder pain for treatment today. I asked him do slightly and small needle because my body is sensitive. After he input the needle I felt hurt and asked him loose it little bit. He doesn't care what I asked and he asked me stop the needle??? I said yes, anh he get mad. He turned away and took off all the needle he just input it in my body. When he took all the Needle out a little blood came out and he did use alcohol to wipes it. He told me he not do the treatment for me and started compared my tolerance pain with other patient. He told me do not charge me $40.00. But is not about money. I have a muscle strain during the time I packed things to move from Arizona to Southern California for a new career change. Unfortunately, I have a severe pain that I cannot move from the waist down. I have to crawl on the floor to go to the bathroom. This is the first time in my life that I need to use the crutches to go to work such an embarrassing on the first day on the job, but the team I about to work with is nice and kind to me. In Westminster is a new land to me. My sister-in-law called me up and tell me to go to see Dr. John. I went to see Dr. John for treatment. After 3-4 treatment, I be able to walk again without the crutches and all of those pain goes away after second treatment. I'm so grateful and thankful of all my heart due to his dedication, care, and profession. I have other sister-in-law where I share a room with her family. She has a back pain to the point she could not pickup her tablet she drops on the floor. I have to picked up for her. I try to convince her to go to see Dr. John but she hesitate to listen to me because she scares of needle. Finally, she has agreed to come along. It takes her more than 10 minutes to settle down inside the passenger side because of her pain. Once we arrive in front of the clinic, Dr. John has to escort her side-by-side to the room. After the first treatment, we all went home and my sister took an afternoon nap until 5pm on the same day. She walks again without any pain! It too me like a miracle and I don't believe my eyes. My mom recommend me this place. After I had my second baby , I had suffer sciatica and I couldn't walk because my right thigh and right bottom have sharp pain... but I had to go to work. Plus I have a 2 years old toddler running around ( not to mention the newborn with colics). So I decided to give it a try. I feel better after the first treatment. It just stop hurting and and I can walk! The current price for 2013. There is one time registration fee of $10. Every treatment cost $20, each session may last one hour. It's not hurt for the needle is so small, it just feel like a pinch at first and sometimes you feel blood stimulation. One of the session I got a treatment for stress relieve + migraine headache + sleep aids . Those extras are great, with no extra charge as long as it can be done in that hour of your appointment. For the appointment you got to make a week or two ahead. He is pretty booked. And if you booked him and decide not to come...please cancel a day or two ahead so that someone else can get that hour. There are a few time I didn't get the hour that I wanted and later on discover that I could have gone to those hour if the no show call ahead. Overall this place deserve 5stars. read more

John is freaking awesome! Unfortunately, I moved out of my last place and was too far to visit my regular acupuncture place so I went out looking for help closer to me. The thing is that because I am kind of a rare case, I tried a couple places who didn't help much or who straight refused to treat me because they didn't think they knew how to help (I know that sounds terrible, but I actually appreciated their honesty). Anyway, I started seeing John a few months ago and I have felt amazing since. One thing I appreciate is that he's willing to research conditions he doesn't know much about and is willing to work with you on your treatment. There have been some things that have helped more than others and he has been very receptive to my notes and has made sure to incorporate those things and leave out the less effective ones. My husband suffers from migraines. We looked up acupuncturist's in our area and found this one, also in his network under our health plan. Unfortunately he was placed in a brightly lit office to do his treatment. He asked to be moved because well, anyone knows light makes it worse! The rooms were not relaxing at all, you could hear noise, including a woman coming into the office to sell him a newspaper. Was hoping we could find a good place for him to get some relief but sadly this isn't the place. read more

Dr. Kong is amazing. I had a pinched nerve on my right side that was bothering me for weeks, but one session with her and it was gone. I'm afraid of needles, but the process doesn't hurt at all! She's friendly, takes the time to explain what she's doing, and answers any questions you might have. The receptionist here is also very nice and will always call you to remind you of your appointment. I've referred a lot of my close family and friends here. read more
