Service I ordered $ 500 worth of catering. When I ordered I did not leave tip as all I did was order. There was no reason to tip. I normally tip once I pick up and leave cash as I know in some establishments the card tips are shared with house. When I arrived to pick up the clerk put the first HOT platter on the counter and simply told me she was going back for the rest of the order. I had to request TWICE for a tray and some rags so I could pick up the tray without burning myself. As I stated it was a $500 order. No one offered any help to load and no one was even friendly. The parking lot is quite large and decorated with planters and a giant cock statue. it's adjacent to a restuarant. We ordered some pastelitos and coffee. I find them delicious enough, may not be the best in my life but nothing to complain about. Good food good service and nice quiet breakfast. The outside is easily the nicest decorated Pinecrest Bakery I've ever been to, crazy to see how fast this place has expanded. The quality of the pastries was consistent and the coffee was strong per order. I liked that they had a system in place to get orders taken fast; you can tell they're used to high volume and they operate that way even when there's only a few folks. We ordered four Cuban sandwiches and were extremely disappointed to receive what was basically ham and Swiss--no mustard, and barely any pork. When we asked about the missing pork, we were shown the one small piece in the sandwich, and no effort was made to correct the mistake or offer a solution. This review is only regarding Guayaba Restaurant only... The restaurant is honestly so chic and the waitresses are all very nice. We came here on a Wednesday afternoon and it was almost empty, so the entire wait staff was very attentive. We ordered and within 15 minutes all the plates came out fresh and with huge portions! Everything was delicious, and we had to take food home because there was so much left over. I highly recommend the restaurant (I've previously had negative experiences with the bakery through Uber eats) but the restaurant has never given me issues. read more

I ordered on the phone my usual a Croqueta Preparada without ham, (because I am pregnant) and a pastelito de carne and a cafe con leche. Yarianna took my order at this location. While on the phone she also told me she was going to tell me the total after she took my CC number, left me on for 10mins without total, and hung up on me. Picked up my order and they gave me a tostada with swiss cheese. No croquetas. As soon as you walk in, you are welcomed with a big smile from the register and an endless assortment of treats on display. Additionally, they have plenty of options to choose from like: cuban sandwiches, media noche, fritas cubanas , flan, croquetas, guava pastries, papas rellenas, empanadas, cake slices, cuban coffee,etc. When you get inside you do need to get a number ticket to be helped. This Pinecrest bakery is less than 2 miles from my house and it's my first time going there. Glad I decided to stop by. I ordered the $7.99 breakfast which included a small café con leche (Cuban coffee with milk) and scrambled eggs with ham. i opted for a pastelito de guayaba (guava pastry) instead of the french fries. The egg portion was decent. I assumed it wouldn't be extravagant due to the current cost of eggs. But it was perfect for one person. The pastelito was delicious. Fresh and rich guava flavor. I'm picky with my pastelitos since these are one of my favorite Cuban staples growing up in a super Cuban family who would enjoy a box of pastries from the bakery every weekend for breakfast. So I know a good pastelito when I taste it. Two thumbs up!!! Kudos to the pastry chef(s) of this location!! My coffee was also very well done. Love it when it's foamy and not too dark but sweet. We ordered a cake for a New Year's Eve big celebration. We told them exactly what cake we would like and exactly how we would want them to decorate it. Well, the cake was horrible, they had these edible little balls on the cake that literally could break your teeth, the cake was not decorated at all. And, the cake was suppose to have rum in it. I love Pinecrest bakery and am so glad they have a restaurant now! The place is huge and very clean. The employees all have difficulty speaking English as in all Pinecrest bakeries. The difference here in the restaurant they are excited to try to speak to you in the English they know and you can practice your Spanish in response and get rewarded with smiles and positive reinforcement. I love the ode to 40s Havana with the elaborate chandeliers ! I was torn for giving a two star. The sandwiches and the bakeries items are very good and consistent in all Pinecrest bakeries, But I chose to review the restaurant food. The special of sautéed sea bass and shrimp in a mango and blackberry sauce. You had a choice of an extra side of your choice and I chose tostone. Let start there with the review, the tostone was HORRIBLE. Bunt to a crisp and they still served them. I sent them back and they sent 3 back instead of the original 2 a little less cooked but very greasy. The vegetables were cold and the fact that the carrots came out of a bag and were cold was a sign of the experience this cook had. The shrimp were not over cooked, but were barely warm and bland. The sea bass was also not over cooked but had no seasoning on it at all. I packaged it for home and will try to fix it to a accepting flavor. Out of desperation I bought the Guava burger( a 1/2lb black angus beef stuffed in a pastelito de guay Aba to take home. The concept sounds great, I just hope the execution is good. The highlight of the visit besides the beautiful building was the staff. So friendly and eager to please! So with A smile I left and hopes that my next experience will be better. Horrible customer service! Called tonight to make an order was not greeted at all on the phone. Lady had an attitude on the phone. I come to pick up my food 15 mins later they were empty and my food wasn't ready. When they gave my husband my food it was incomplete and the eggs were cold. At this point I was already mad I went inside and asked the lady if she can please remake the eggs and she stayed staring at me ... her coworker comes with an attitude (blonde lady) and laughs saying the eggs aren't cold ....
