Thick cut turkey (and I do mean thick), applewood-smoked bacon, Munster cheese, lettuce, sliced red onion, tomato and chipotle aioli on focaccia bread. What a great sandwich, one of the best turkey sandwiches I've ever had. I got the sweet potato fries for my side, they were hot and crispy. With the side of honey mustard (which I also poured on my sandwich), it took everything over the top. Oh and it included a big pickle spear, always a plus! Our room was the cleanest of all the hotels we have stayed in since 3/2020 (I think we've visited 4 or 5 properties since then). The rooms were pretty large and have classic decor. We liked having access to a refrigerator to store cold drinks, and there is a Harris Teeter and Lowe's supermarket within walking distance to get supplies for the room. We had hoped to try out the pool but it was chock full of kids when we arrived -- no room for us! We wish that the pool was a little bigger and had more space but we also get that it's first come, first served. There is a really nice firepit/lounging outdoor area by the bar that looks fun, too. It appears this was an older hotel that was remodeled. The toilets are the older ones that are the lowest height, which may be a problem for some guests. You may need an accessible room if you have any knee/leg issues.
