I saw Dr. Patel and Freitag both seemed to have non conservative approach. I didn't care for their personalities either. The whole place needs to be kinder bet you would keep your patients. I read other reviews and people seem to share my sentiment.

We started seeing him before he joined Lanier Dental Partners, and we followed him there. We all go every 6 months for a cleaning, even during Covid. My children sat in my wife's lap as babies so they wouldn't grow up scared of the dentist. There has also been the occasional dental emergency. EVERY TIME we paid immediately after the appointment was over. For twenty years we have lived at the same address and had the same phone number. Dr Palmer recently retired and I am not very happy with Dr. Patel, his replacement. Recently, every time we go, they insist we fill out a medical history form, even if nothing has changed. The last time I went in for an appointment it was the same thing but then, the woman at the desk asked for a copy of my Driver's License. Remember, for twenty years we pay as soon as the appointment is over and we've lived in the same house. They really have no need to ask for my Driver's License. I decided we would just find another dentist and cancelled all our upcoming appointments. Now, they can legally ask for my Driver's License. However there is a lot of identity theft going on in the world. If hackers can breach large companies like AT&T, Equifax, Visa etc., how easy is it to breach Lanier Dental Partners? I would not advise anyone to have their Drivers License copied unless you have to for insurance reasons. I am in the finance business and 4 or 5 times a year we hear from our clients that someone stole their I.D. Businesses like Lanier Dental Partners have a policy in place that makes your identity accessible. I would think twice before you hand over that information. On February 7, Dr Patel sent me a Certified Letter "firing" us from her practice because I refused to give them my license. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this practice. They only want to check the boxes and have forgotten they are dealing with real people. The letter from Dr. Patel is just one more example. I would have never done this review, but Dr. Patel just went too far. P.S. We were charged $700 for two cleanings, gouged for every nickel and dime and charged for things that we never asked for. Thank goodness Jaime at the front desk had the foresight to make it right for us. She did refund what she could and give us a discount for our troubles. The office is so disorganized that two weeks later I got a call stating that they refunded the entire balance to us when, in fact, they did not and only refunded what we were owed. This office is a mess, do not recommend.

Front desk receptionist was very friendly but beyond that x-rays will be slow and painful, Dentist comes in and immediately points you in direction for costly treatment with minimal exam. Went in for regular cleaning and was told I needed a deep cleaning but didn't receive one but was still charged for one. The cleaning itself was mediocre at best. Got more water on my face and running down my neck than I did in my mouth. Didn't fill like a thorough cleaning much less a deep cleaning. If you're looking for a new dentist, I strongly suggest you keep looking and don't waste your time with this one.

He poked around in my boyfriend's mouth very impatiently, and his bedside manner from the start was horrible and because of what he did, we ended up in the emergency room that day because he left him in excruciating pain, even worse than when he started. He about gave him 12 shots of Lidocaine and decided that he could not get him numb enough to do the procedure. And ended up walking out the room given our money back and saying get out of here. I get that you may be having a bad day but taking it out on your patient is just bad practice. We ended up having to go to Emory John's Creek that day because of what he did after the numbing wore off. It was a very bad day and was unnecessary that we had to even go to the hospital. Because they could not even help us anyway. But they were able to at least get him numb enough so we could survive through the weekend to get dental treatment from another facility that was able to help him. I do not recommend this place at all. What he did was just not write an unethical and we will be seeing what our options are in to get this handled by a lawyer. It's just sad when even the hospital Emery Johns Creek told us that what he did was wrong and we're shocked by his behavior. Stay away.

I have bounced around 3 different dentists over the past 2 years, and all of them tried to do things without telling me how much it was going to cost or charged me more than my insurance company's policy had stated. Most of them were unnecessary procedures too. Not only was Dr. Edwards honest and friendly, he was incredibly thorough, explained everything upfront and didn't do anything that I didn't need done. He also does a free mouth cancer screening with every visit. Something Imagix would have charged me $50 for. In general, I feel like dentist are in somewhat of a conflict of interest. They make money when you have bad teeth, but are supposed to encourage you to have a good teeth. They caneasly take advantage of people who haven't had 4 years of dentistry school. Dr. Edwards explained everything he did, was thorough, and gave me several ideas to help out my cavity prone teeth. Needless to say, I was impressed.
